Thanks everyone for your comments, im sick in bed at the moment (internet on phone) and its made me feel less sorry for myself seeing all the love for Bob he makes me a little bit too happy, im thinking about altering his arms slightly to have a hole to pop fingers in to manipulate them. Just a matter of sewing a couple of inserts for the inside so he won't lose all his arm stuffing might be a nice easy sick project lol

Thanks everyone I can't wait to show him off to my class next week, we're doing a pottery excursion this week so no puppets allowed to tag along and I don't want Bob to get covered in paint & clay lol.

He is so cool! And terribly adorable. I didn't read through all the comments, so this may have been asked already, but how did you make the eyes look so smooth? They don't look like foam balls at all. I thought they were glass or plastic!

Thanks MLPlyte - the eyes were a small styrofoam ball cut in half, painted with acrylics and given a coat of modge podge. I used hot melt glue to attach them and put a stitch through the centre of them to make sure they weren't going to move (luckily I wanted eyelids, so that covered up the stitching). You could attach them just with glue, but I dont know if it would hold up as well

I am pretty happy with him, and he will be making regular trips to childcare centres with me to help teach young children, and of course to make them and other people smile in the process

I have now got a team of two characters that come on regular outings with me, Floyd the life sized pink unicorn and now bob both are boys cause who says you can't be pink and male? They're bringing smiles and blurring gender lines wherever possible lol.
