That brought a lump to my throat that you have a photo of you with Moondancer in a stocking on Christmas morning when you were a toddler....how *adorable*!!!

That's awful...poor you!!!

I remember when I moved house I packed up all my clothes in bin liners. I also used the move to do a big "sort out" and throw away tons of extra clutter I didn't want in the new house. But...

...somehow (I'll never understand how because I was *so* careful!) I got the bags mixed up and accidentally threw away a bin liner that had all my best dresses in it; a cocktail dress my sister bought me, a gorgeous purple silk dress, a gorgeous red silk top...you get the picture!

I was gutted - they were all my best clothes!

I can't imagine if that had been a box of ponies - I would have been gutted x 1000!!!  :(

I really hope you either find the lost box or manage to re-collect all your lost ones again. Best of luck and pony hugs from a fellow sympathetic pony-loving neat-freak.

Scotland? Well hello from down south (Gloucestershire)!! Are you under snow at the moment? I think we just missed it this time!

Those are great tips about the mirrors and tinfoil (we need to maximise *any* amount of sunlight - right?!  ;)) and the dashboard thing sounds like it might work.

By the way, do you know what the UK equivalents of the US Oxiclean and Mr. Magic's Eraser are? I keep hearing about them but I'm not sure if we have those products over here? Is Oxiclean the same as our Vanish Oxi Action?

Anyway, lovely to meet a fellow UK pony lover! Whereabouts are you?

Okay, thanks!

I have checked her since and she has butterflies only on her non-display side, not on her display side as I said previously, but they have definitely not been removed with acetone - there has just never been anything on her display side at all! There is absolutely no evidence of any tampering at all - just a plain yellow surface just like the rest of her! :)

I'm never selling her anyway so monetary value doesn't really bother me  - I love her just the way she is and perhaps even more so because she so unusual! I just wondered if anyone could shed any light on this strange lack of a symbol

I'd be interested to hear from anyone else who has a factory flawed pony, which ones they are and whether they think they're more loveable/collectable for it, or whether you'd avoid them like the plague??

Oh, and thank you *sooooo* much for your lovely comments about my avatar!

Pony hugs,

Wanted! / Tails needed!
« on: February 08, 2013, 02:08:22 PM »
Hi everyone!

I have three, sad,  tail-less ponies, Applejack (shy pose), Cotton Candy with faded hair (almost white) and Peachy still with pink hair.

They have been languishing at the bottom of a large bag in my spare room for the last few years, but there's nothing wrong with them apart from being short of a tail!

So...I'd like them to be able to join the rest of my herd without the embarrassment of having no tail!  :(

Does anyone have any spare tails I could purchase, that would fit the bill?

Thanks!

Pony Corral / Removing Biro
« on: February 08, 2013, 03:53:21 AM »
Hi everyone!

Does anyone have any hints or tips on the best way to remove blue biro marks? I have a g3 with a very noticeable blue biro mark in her mouth. I've tried acetone and gentle bleach solutions but nothing is doing the trick...

I'd be grateful for any advice.

Thanks!

Pony Corral / Dutch Vlinder (Butterfly)
« on: February 07, 2013, 04:19:25 PM »
I have a Dutch Butterfly Pony but she only has her cutie mark on one side of her rump. Is that unusual? I thought she was supposed to have it on both sides but I could be wrong...

It hasn't rubbed off or anything, it was just quite obviously never there in the first place, so she has purple butterflies on her display side but nothing at all on the other. Is this a factory flaw?

If so, is that a good thing or a bad thing in terms of her value to collectors? Not that I would ever sell her....I'm just curious!

Any info would be greatly appreciated! :)

Pony Corral / Re: Does anyone actually LIKE G1 BBE ponies?
« on: February 07, 2013, 04:13:01 PM »
I'm afraid I can't bear the poor ill-conceived little things.....they just look sinister to me!

But then, to be fair,  I'm *really* picky about what I collect. I only collect g1s and g3s to start with.

I tend to rule out SS, BBE, TE, NB, FT, NBT, BB, MB, BnG, DnP, DnW, SHS, anything with wings, pockets or secret compartments, anything twinkly/sparkly or anything with neon/clashing or swirling colours!!! Oh....and all accessories!!!

That narrows it down somewhat, so don't feel too badly for them - it's just my quirk!

Kiwimlp - Was just thinking, it's a funny thing, but true - you can "age" someone by their first ever pony - lol!  :)

Eluluu - Can't really get two more different ponies, lol! Someone's memory is definitely dodgy! One a green Pegasus and one a white Unicorn....how funny!  Maybe you had BOTH!!!

Hugs,
