Pony Corral / Re: Do ponies with combs/brushes sell better?
« on: August 19, 2015, 05:58:54 AM »
Thank you so much both for additional advice.  So unless the accessory is an valued item, or I have all of the accessories for that pony (which of course is hard to impossible to find), STOP buying, I am just throwing my money away.

A  little poorer but wiser,

Jodi

Pony Corral / Do ponies with combs/brushes sell better?
« on: August 17, 2015, 12:18:11 AM »
I am starting to think about getting rid of my G1 collection and was wondering if they are more likely to sell if they have their brush or comb?  I would have to purchase these items so do I invest more money to increase my chance of someone buying them?  I know when I was buying, I could care less since I did not plan on displaying my mlps with their brush or comb.

Thank you,
Jodi

P.S.  If anybody wants to buy my whole collection for $2500, includes Rapunzel, Mimic, both sets of Pony Friends and about 150 other ponies plus the pretty parlor, show stable, dream castle (all near complete) and then the waterfall...had to try ;)  Good night all

Wanted! / Help from Cambridge, Ontario, Need to get pony sent to WI
« on: August 16, 2015, 07:18:47 PM »
Found excellent deal on pony from Cambridge, Ontario.  Problem is, local pick only with cash payment (did not realize this at first).  Later read that website mentions avoiding people who want you to ship item and pay via paypal.  I covered those in the first two e-mails I sent before seeing the warning/precaution statement.  :argh: :argh:  So person has not responded back to me yet.  I wouldn't either, my e-mails were textbook examples of who to avoid.  Will cover cost of item, shipping, and your efforts if I can convince one of you lovely people to take on such task.

Any takers if I can get the individual to respond to my e-mails?

Desperately Seeking,

Jodi

Also ISO items from...
Waterfall-blue terry cloth towel, sponge brush, and bubbles...pretty much everything ;) $
Show Stable-yellow heart brush$

sea pony-green shell from first set$

Thank you,

Jodi

I bought my TAF Buttons from one of the mlp forums for $70.  Of course, I went looking for her.  She was in beautiful condition except she no longer had any factory curl to her hair.  Good luck!!

Just went on eBay and sold listings had her around $40.

MY first MLP was Firefly back in 83 or 84.  She was they only choice the store I went to had.  I think I even used my allowance to purchase her.  Almost 30 years later and I still have her.

Thank you for the look out.  I have already been in communication with her and she has decided to keep hers for her daughter to have someday.

Hope someone out there can help me track down a TAF Buttons. She is the last pony on my current want list.  Pictures and a price or pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
Jodi

Introductions / Starting Out...Again.
« on: June 20, 2012, 12:32:07 PM »
Firefly was the first pony I bought.  I am pretty sure the reason I got Firefly was because she was the only one on the shelves at the time.  My next purchase was my beloved Glory, such a pretty girl with her purple and blue hair.  Everything else is kind of a blur except that I had to buy a second Applejack when the neighbor girl threw my first one down the street gutter.

Hi everyone, my name is Jodi.  A few weeks ago I gathered my small collection of MLP from my dad's place.  There in a cardboard box was maybe a third of what I had as a child...I think my younger sister lost the others.   My initial goal was to collect those ponies that I could remember having growing up.  Unfortunately for my checking account, it has gone beyond that.  I have been rapidly expanding my collection through purchases from ebay mainly.  Talk about soaring prices.  In the end though, it is okay.   It feels good to have a hobby that I really enjoy.

I look forward to meeting many of you through the forums.

Happy Collecting
Jodi
