I do prefer Timid, that's correct :)

@Aitsuki- That would be great! :) I have only 1 extra Scatterbug right now but will be able to breed more for other people too once I reach the daycare. I'm in a battle at the moment but will add you afterwards~

ETA: If you have a Timid Eevee that would be fantastic. I'd also be happy with Bold, Modest and Calm :good:

So, I was a little bored and decided to finally start my game of Pokemon Y... after changing my location to Hawaii (Ocean Vivillons!). Oh and I set my game's language to Japanese :silly: Figured it was a way to play pokemon and study Japanese at the same time :) It was nice too since they actually give you an option to turn off the Kanji and just have kana (I suck at Kanji still).  I'm not very far yet, my pokemon are only level 8 right now, but it's kinda cool running around with a team of Japanese pokemon :lovey:

@Calico- Since I don't have my Suicune I'm subbing Vaporeon in for my Singles team :awake: Took a while to get the Hidden Power typing I needed but it'll be worth it. Of course, this 'team' is only 3 pokemon since I use it in the Battle Subway/Battle Maison in X. I'm not entirely sure what'll fill the last 3 slots for playing against actual people, but Sylveon will likely be one of them :) Leafeon is a VIP for my Doubles team, and I just think Noivern looks awesome :lovey:

@Barbgirl- I'll add you in a few minutes~

I don't have an extra on me, but have you tried the GTS? :) People are going nuts over Scatterbugs in their quest to collect all 18 Vivillons, so if you offer up a Scatterbug, it shouldn't take long for you to get a Spritzee, especially if you don't put restrictions on level or gender.

I got my Vaporeon! :frolic: Now to train it :) And to decide what my next project will be... Noivern maybe? Or Leafeon, or Sylveon... there's Excadrill too, and Skarmory... choices choices... I can't decide! :drunk:

That's a new breeding mechanic for X and Y :) The kids will have the same pokeball type that the mother has. With Bargain Power lv3 I've just splurged on various types of pokeballs in Lumiose and have just used ones that I think aesthetically suit the pokemon I'm catching (used a Heal Ball for my shiny pink Minccino, but most things get a Luxury Ball or Dusk Ball).

Oops, Milky was faster than me :silly:

You press your stylus down near one of their front paws and hold it there (not touching them, as that will turn to petting them). After a tiny bit they should try to bat at it, and if it's with the paw opposite of the side you're pressing the stylus down on, just switch sides :) Vulpix uses the left paw for example.

If you carry your pokemon around while you're hatching eggs, that'll add to friendship for sure :) I'm not sure if Pokemon-amie does though...

Does anyone else get overwhelmed with cute when they high-five their pokemon in Pokemon-amie? :lovey: So far I've seen it work with Vulpix and Eeveelutions, so it may be a 4-legged pokemon thing.

HA Poliwirl isn't actually too bad :) Politoed gets Drizzle as its HA, which is great for Raindance teams (and I think it's the only other pokemon besides Kyogre who gets it, and Kyogre is banned in many formats).

@Calico_Star- You're Kuro, correct? You have a water type with Krabby, Quagsire and Poliwhirl :)

@Dainty and Sandi- have both of you re-checked your Friends list after connecting to the internet? :awake: The person who added the other first has to check back for the game to fully 'realize' it.

As for pickup pokemon, I recommend Linoone or Pumpkaboo :) Pumpkaboo doubles as a 'Take Down' guard of sorts too because it's part Ghost. I like Lillipup but you have to keep it from evolving otherwise it loses pickup :yikes:

Ok guys, how are so many of you running into so many shinies? You can't use the Pokemon Radar in friend safaris, which seems to be the place most of you are finding them? Do you just wander for hours until you find one? Do you have to fight every pokemon you encounter for the chance of finding a shiny to go up, or is it just wandering and luck? My favorite shiny pokemon is Ponyta, and I'd love love love to find one, and I have a couple of people whos friend safaris have ponyta...so how do I harness this magical shiny luck that you all are having? :P

The FS has an increased rate of shinies :) Tipping is -rumored- to help, but I've just found my 3rd FS shiny (Adamant Munna with Sync) and haven't tipped today. I'm really hoping for a shiny Larvesta, or Eevee, but no luck yet with those...

I've been farming pickup items in the FS, and it seems every couple of hours I'll find a shiny. Watching anime at the same time makes it a little less tedious for me ;) I just have to be careful to make sure I don't accidentally attack a shiny :yikes: I nearly KOd my pink Minccino!

ETA: I recommend taking a Ghost type if you're shiny hunting too! That way things can't KO themselves with Takedown :drunk:

I'm still working on getting my team together unfortunately. I have 3 of my 4 pokemon for Doubles, but they haven't been properly trained or leveled up yet :drunk: I should really get to work on that...
