Sorry, the yellow pony isn't Anchors Away. The colors are similar, but the pose is wrong. I'm pretty sure it's a fakie.

I see it now. I double checked and I couldn't find a matching color scheme for this pose. Well, at least the other one is a real deal :D

the light heart is a good deal, id think. shes not exactly "rare", but i do believe she's fairly uncommon!  also, the yellow pony seems to be anchors away, shes pretty uncommon and sought after! i'm not entirely sure how much shes worth, but most results seem to say somewhere in the $30-$50 range? although, im not sure if thats still relevant or not.

Thank you! I've sent an inquiry to the seller, maybe I can get them :)

Pony Corral / Re: Why won't Hasbro release new ponies?
« on: April 02, 2015, 12:05:14 PM »
Well, there are Sweetie Drops (new as brushable) and Skywishes (new in the US) and Diamond Mint (new as brushable) out now, and rereleases of less commonish Flower Wishes and Sunset Shimmer, plus Roseluck and Amethyst Star and Lyra Heartstrings and Sweetie Drops and Cheerilee in the EQG section, and soon Roseluck (new as brushable) and Maude Pie and Lavender Honey and Lily Valley (new as brushable) and Lotus Blossom (new as brushable) and Helia (new as brushable) and Maneiac (new in playful pony size) and Coco Pommel and that one purple villain pony coming soon...

and those are selling quite well, I assume. Because they're new characters. But many of those will most likely never be released again, while the overproduced Mane 6 will be all over the place and not that many will be bought. That's the point that Pop!Star was trying to make.

My personal favorites from G4 are none of the mane 6, actually. I like a lot of the 'background characters' way more than the main ones. That's why I loved G3 so much (even though they had characters like Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash that were considered 'main', they somehow weren't overused and annoying), and keep falling more and more in love with G1. That's the same reason I loved the 'old' Littlest Pet Shop toys. Because there were no 'main' ones.

She's new to me, and I really like the color combo, but the symbol puts me off for some reason.

Pony Corral / Help?
« on: April 02, 2015, 10:49:05 AM »
I came across some used ponies in a local advertisement website, and I was wondering if it's worth getting them.

Could someone please help me identify the pony in this picture? Or is it a fakie?

Also, I found this G2 pony, she's €3

I believe her name is Light Heart. Is she common? Should I get her? I have very little knowledge of G2 ponies. She seems in fair condition, but I can't see her tail. Is €3 a good deal?

Pony Corral / Your favorite pony color combos?
« on: April 02, 2015, 06:11:11 AM »
There was a topic about ponies that you wish were a different color, so I thought why not share your favorite color combinations as well? Which ponies' color schemes do you like best? Which ponies have the best multi-colored hair? and so on :D

My personal favorite has to be G3 Daffidazey, because oh my god, THAT HAIR  :dribble: best color combination Hasbro has ever come up with in my opinion. Also I'm a sucker for blue ponies with warm toned colors in their hair (G1 Sweet Pop, G3 Party Cake, G3 Waterfire).

I'd pass I think. She's one of the very few ponies that I'm kinda "meh" about.

I'm always worried about bragging immediately after buying something online because, as others have said, what if the package gets lost, or something bad happens to the item, or the item will be different than the seller described? I get that feeling with almost everything I ever buy online :D

I guess it's because some kids probably didn't like that one random hair piece being "out of place" so they cut it. Also it's a well-known fact that children like to cut things in general. The first thing my sister did when she took my G3 Goody Gumdrop "just to play with for a few minutes" was chopping her mane and tail off :D

Pony Corral / Does re-hairing affect a pony's value?
« on: March 30, 2015, 10:59:33 AM »
I have been wondering for a while now. So let's say you have a G1 pony with terrible hair who isn't dirt-cheap and would cost a nice amount of money in a good condition. If you rehair the pony with brand new doll hair, does the value rise or drop? Because I've heard of collectors who would rather have a pony with bad (but original) hair or rubbed symbols than a restored pony. What do you think? (The same question applies to repainting rubbed symbols, or re-flocking and restoring in general)

Pony Corral / Re: Pony poses? Best, worst?
« on: March 30, 2015, 10:51:37 AM »
When I was little, I really hated ponies that didn't have their head facing forward. I don't know why. Back then the Donkey/Minty pose was my favorite. (This was of course before they started making G3s with moving heads.)

Now I don't hate any pony pose from any generation. I find them all more or less cute :D
