Customs / Re: Anyone turned FS shining armour into a girl?
« on: December 15, 2012, 04:12:09 PM »
Well, FS Shining Armor has the same mold as Rarity, and I'm pretty sure he's even got the eye-indents too.

You could probably turn him into a girl fairly easily. Haha.  Just re-hair him and give him some new eyes. :P

Pony Corral / Re: Mini Figure Set, walmart won't sell it to me??
« on: December 15, 2012, 04:09:28 PM »
Weird. Me and my boyfriend both work at Walmart and I just bought that same set about a month ago when my boyfriend got his Wii U, no issues. I think that it might just not have been in the system at your Walmart, and the cashier/CSS that dealt with you didn't want to bother manually entering it.

However, with the Luna and Celestia fashion style thing.
My boyfriend works in toys/electronics, and when they got the fashion styles in, he was the one to set up the endcap. He went to scan the Luna for me on his palm pilot to see the price so he could get one for me, and realized then that they didn't have prices in the system, so he packed them all back up and had them entered in the system before placing them out on the shelves again.

Basically, I think the people stocking them didn't realize that even though they are also fashion styles, they don't have the same exact numbers and aren't in the systems yet. If my boyfriend didn't scan Luna for me, he wouldn't have even known they weren't in the system. We're also not *supposed* to scan other Fashion Styles even if they're the same price, but I know some people do it anyway. :P We could get in trouble if the manager pushes it though, but I've never seen it happen.

I think the point that is trying to be made is:

Women regardless of age should be allowed to wear whatever they'd like and not be thought of as sex objects just because of it.

It's like people who say "Oh, you deserved to be raped because you dressed like a slut."

When I was 14 I was wearing a tight but not overly revealing shirt. A boy in my school grabbed my boob and when I told it to the teacher they said "Well, you shouldn't be wearing a tight shirt like that, it provokes people." :/

First of all, I am sorry that happened to you. Second, your teacher was not behaving in a way that would help you, instead she shamed you, which is never okay. Men get away with a lot more than women do in society as a whole when it comes to sexuality, in my opinion, and this slant is perpetuated by similar comments (e.g., "Well you shouldn't dress like that, you'll be thought of as a slut, etc. etc.")

One of my favorite new books on the topic of women and sexuality is "A Good Girl's Guide to Bad Girl Sex." It shows that you don't have to dress in ways most people would deem inappropriate to be sexy and to feel sexy, and it'd be great for the older teen.

Yeah, that teacher was terrible. She was very immature herself and not really cut out to be teaching kids/teenagers.

It could have been worse though, even though it upset me and made me feel bad, I'm glad it wasn't a worse thing.

I will hopefully be able to find another one. It has just put me off a bit to buying from people I don't know well. ;-;

Yeah, unfortunately I've had to open a claim. Two other people now have stepped foward and said they were scammed by him.
If the card ever does arrive (which I highly doubt), then I will re-send the payment.

Thank you for your help everyone. I'm upset it had to come to this.

Trader & Shipping Support / Bought something and I\'m a bit worried?
« on: November 27, 2012, 05:38:52 PM »
I purchased an Enterplay promo card off another website recently for some money...not too much, but not a small amount either.
I was nervous about doing so because of the amount (about $100), but decided to not be so paranoid and do it anyway.

So, anyway, the seller is in the UK, and I'm in the US, I sent him the money on November 9th.
He ended up shipping the card on November 13th and it's not here yet.

He gave me a tracking number, but it never worked. I've sent him 2 or 3 e-mails about it not working and he still hasn't responded.

The carrier on Paypal says "DPD UK" but that website doesn't give me anything, USPS doesn't work for tracking it, and when I tried tracking it on another website it came up with "Parcelforce" but said it was "out of date" or "couldn't be tracked".

I realize it can take longer for packages out of the UK to the US, but I'm just worried since the seller hasn't contacted me.

Am I just being a paranoid crazy, or should I be worried because the tracking doesn't work? I've never had this happen before, so I guess that's why I'm a bit nervous.

Well, unfortunately I heard someone else purchased from the same seller and also didn't receive their items after about 40+ days now. When they escalated to a claim, the seller lied about the buyer to Paypal, saying he was angry about how the cards were shipped or something and escalated it because of that. Seems it is just a scammer. *Sigh* Was really hoping I'd get this card. Hope Paypal will at least give my money back.

Gee, I spent an awful lot on my :muffin: Pony, but I'd love for there to be more of her released. I'd love to be able to have one to keep MIB.

I do also hope they release the White FS Celestia, and Minty brushable, but I doubt these will ever happen.

Introductions / Re: Hello everybody! :D
« on: November 09, 2012, 05:36:12 PM »
Sorry guys! I wasn't able to get back on because of work.
Thanks for all the introductions!

I was actually very into Pinkie Pie when I was younger, and her new style is what caused me to be interested in FiM! :D

I've been cleaning and fixing up my old collections too. Hopefully I'll be able to post some pictures of them when they are able to be displayed.

Hi! My name is Mel, and I am new here. :) It's nice to meet you all! I've liked MLP since I was 12 and recently got back into it through FiM. I collect all types of merch currently.
