Pony Corral / What in the heck happened to this poor pony? :O
« on: April 29, 2014, 06:13:50 AM »
Alright so I went to a jumble sale yesterday in my local village - and I picked up a plastic shopping bag full of G3s for 50p! :)
I was happy to take them home and when I got home, I realised something was very wrong with one of the ponies I picked up. There was something very off about my new Secret Wish.

Soo this is what the original Secret Wish looks like..
(Personaly one of the prettiest G3s in my opinion.. :inlove:)

All of her glitter is gone!
Also her pink hair has turned practically white..so I'm making the assumption she's been in the sun but, where has all her glitter gone?! >_<

Here they are side-by-side..

Has anyone else had an issue like this with the Divine Shine ponies?
Let me know please!

Woah
I LOVE this G1 Make-Up bag they've got too..though £12 is a bit of stretch for a make-up bag.
But it's sooooo cuuuteee...  :drunk:

Customs / Someone save this poor pony! [LightningCaz?]
« on: April 28, 2014, 03:37:09 PM »
Hello!
I'm looking for someone within the UK (for posting reasons) who is open to do a comission for a G3 that I found at a Car-Boot sale months ago. Judging by the symbol on her foot, but the tattered state of the pony, someone bought a custom and then wrecked it! :( Which is such a shame since the re-hair process looks like it would have taken a while to do. So I think she needs some new life put into her! She's in a messy state to say the least..

Does anyone recognize this signature?

So is their anyone out their who is interested in perhaps re-making her, based on the hair she's already got?
I have an idea in mind about her, I just need to talk about pricing (since she's already been re-haired).
If anyone is interested please PM me!

**UPDATE**
Someone messaged me letting me know they recognzied the name as a user named LightningCaz? Does that ring any bells at all?

Pony Brag Arena / 2 of my Grails!~
« on: April 25, 2014, 09:24:13 AM »
So, last month I was finally lucky and was able to get a job! I'm a student, so getting a job was amazing in itself because now..I can buy my ponies by myself! :yippee:
So I've been scouring around eBay and other places to see if I could pick up any G1s, and to my luck I was able to win two bids. I won my very first Grails!
Although these ponies may not be very rare or high-value, but I've always wanted these two girlies ever since I started collecting G1s all those years ago.
So the two girls I won were..

Fizzy! Who I won for £4.00!

The women selling her told me her eyes are a bit grubby, but if anyone has any tips on getting them to twinkle again please let me know!

and the other grail I got was...

Dancing Butterflies! I got her for £3.90!

She's looking a little grubby, but I'm sure just a lil' clean up with get her all bright again! I'm not 100% sure if the comb is her real one, can someone confirm that for me?

Soo..yes. I am a very happy pony. Although some people might find these to be ponies that are easy to find, the feeling of being able to own them for myself is just the best feeling ever! I'm so happy!! :lovey:

Pony Corral / Re: Creepy, scary or just plain WEIRD pony stories...
« on: April 24, 2014, 05:39:43 PM »
I haven't had that many experiences with creepy ponies, but I did have one when I was little.

I was putting all my ponies in a row along my windowsill, I used to have a thing about putting them in colour order. So they'd be grouped in pink purple blue etc.
So I was going through the order of the ponies as I normally did, picking them up from the floor when I was playing with them to line them up - but when I turned back around; one of the blue ponies had been moved to the very corner of my windowsill. I didn't think anything of it since I thought it was just me putting it there, so I moved it back and continued to put my ponies along the shelf.
When I left the room to have my dinner or something - I came back and the blue pony was back in the corner! I was freaked out, since I was only like 9 years old. I went and told my Mum about it and she said I was being silly, I probably just moved it without thinking about it. So I moved it back to the original place again.
I left it that, and nothing happened throughout the day until I went to bed.
It was mid-summer so I kept the window open so I wasn't hot, and there was a breeze during the night, and the ponies fell off the windowsill when a pretty tough breeze hit them. I got outta bed, and went to go pick them up again..and when I looked at the windowsill, the only pony that hadn't fallen over was the blue pony - but that was only because it was back in the corner.

Pony Corral / G4s: Why so small?
« on: April 24, 2014, 04:28:00 PM »
I am not exactly an expert when it comes to the G4s. I haven't really been keeping up with the recent releases or anything like that, I've just been sticking to the G1s recently but a question that keeps popping into my head about the G4s is this: Why are they so small?!
Here is a photo of the 'progression' of regular pony sizes from G1 to G4. (Excluding G3.5s)
[Apologies for the poor-quality image]

Here is my question to Hasbro..are the new G4s even playable?
When I was around 6-7, I grew up with G3s. They were easy to pick up and play with - with large castle and bakery sets with interactive accessories. How on earth is making the pony almost 2x smaller make it playable? The ponies are so small that they almost seem to be designed NOT to be played with, but rather to be put on display. This would make sense perhaps to a collector - but not to a child!
I wouldn't say it's a major issue - but the fact that you have to pay MORE for a pony that is larger and has more play value is what bothers me.
Why did they become so small? They are starting to look like the G3 Mini series rather than full sized ponies!
Does anyone else think the same? Or am I just looking a bit to much into it?  >_<

Pony Corral / Pony Bride & Bridal Beauty: What's the difference?
« on: April 24, 2014, 04:06:59 PM »
Alright, my G1 knowledge isn't the most amazing in the world, but I recently won two auctions. One was for the Bride Pony and the other was Bridal Beauty.
I am just wondering if there is anything different about them aside from their cutie marks?
Is one more valuable than the other? Was one a limited release? Let me know! :wonder:

Arts & Crafts Corral / Puppies & Puppies! [Non-MLP]
« on: April 21, 2014, 02:15:10 PM »
Hello!
This is just a small peice I just wanted to get some opinions on. I've been experimenting with various styles recently and I believe this style is begining to come together, so I just wanted to hear some opinions on the style. I am aware that the colouring and things need to be improved on, but it's mainly the style itself that is in development.
So if y'wish, please leave me your opinion! Thank you!
