We'll need to get a trading thread together when they're released! I'm really curious about how Chrysalis and Discord will look in this style. December, why you gotta be so far away?

Looks like WeLoveFine wants a piece of Funko's blind box business! Check out their new vinyl set here: http://www.welovefine.com/chibi-my-little-pony-vinyls-9594.htmlLike most of WeLoveFine's vinyl Pony offerings, they are very stylized! I think that they're pretty cute little things, but I'm really only interested in pony because I collect her. For that reason, I'm bummed out that they are blind boxed, since I figure the trading pool will be relatively small on these given their cost and lack of retail presence. What do you all think? Yay? Nay? Hooray? They're okay? UPDATE: As the comments later in the thread reveal, these are no longer to be sold as "blind box" toys. Hooray!

Oh my, it's that time of year again already?
Not gonna lie... I kind of want to see Cheese Sandwich.

I really want Pony, though I'll wait until she's available for preorder straight through 4DE's website. I would love to order through my local comic shop, but 4DE just isn't reliable enough.

When glitter Twilight came out, I was hoping that translucent hair would become the norm for glitters.
Can you imagine how FABULOUS Rarity would have been with translucent hair?

I've got to say, I never expected Amiibo to be this ridiculously popular!
I swung by Target on release day for Rosalina soon after they opened, expecting that I might find one. I had read on Reddit about people camping outside for them, but I didn't expect people would do that where I live.
Boy was I mistaken! The Electronics employee saw me looking at the Amiibo display and informed me that they had sold out of all the special new ones, and that there has been a line for them.

Remember when all we needed were magnets in their hooves?

For some reason, I didn't expect him to be semi-hollow.
This is awesome! Thanks for sharing it. I can't wait to see how it turns out!

The G4 toyline is a little backwards, I believe. Instead of having a show that is based on the toys, the toys were made to resemble the show. To my knowledge, this isn't par for the course for MLP. "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" was pitched with the kind of stylization you're seeing here, but it didn't start there! The Generation 3.5 toy line featured ponies with similar faces, with their enormous eyes and little beak-like snouts positioned on large, round heads! G4 ponies really made me think of mice at first, with those big ears, big eyes, and little snouts! They definitely bring a challenge to the concept of a pony, and the illustrator in me thinks that's all kinds of fun.

WeLoveFine's statues are beautiful, but I'm disappointed to see Fluttershy twice in a row as well. The final work is great, but their selection process seems a little uninspired.
They would make a stunning Rarity, I bet.

Clonecommander, I love your armor! For my Mandalorian armor, I use Sintra! It's a type of PVC plastic that is often used in sign making. If you have a sign shop nearby, they may have scraps that they will give you for cheap (or free). Otherwise, it can be bought at arts and crafts shops or online. It's easy to bend when it's heated up, and it takes paint like a dream! Rosierjay, are you talking about Worbla? I hear that stuff is great.

Now that I look again, I think you're right! That hair really does make them look different, doesn't it?
