I have one of her barrettes that I brought home, unsold, from my Fair booth.  It was $4 and mint, as I recall, but if you end up needing one and are interested, let me know and I'll dig through my bins and take photos of it.  :)  I love those barrettes!

Suh-weeet!  I definitely need one!  Even if I do have my original one, I'll need another for this one.  Off to send you a pm!

Is the facebook group still active?  I'm pretty sure I sent a request to join the group but never got anything.  Have you guys decided on a location yet?

Nope, just Banana Surprise.  I got my box with my original accessories dug out this morning, and I didn't see her barrette in it at all, which I could SWEAR I have!   :(  I did, however, have all of the sundaes from my Satin Slipper Sweet Shop, which are kinda light blue, so maybe my mind is playing tricks on me!!  My newborn twins accessories weren't in there either and I KNOW I have at least their teeter totter, so I'm thinking my childhood accessories might have got mixed up with the rest.  More hunting to do tonight I guess!

Wasn't "Elite of Ponyland" Dragonfly's deal?  I'd say shoot her a pm and see what happens!

Thanks Hathorcat!  I agree, she is SO underappreciated!  I love my Banana Surprise!  She was one of the few I always took with me on trips!  I could have sworn I had a lighter blue barrette with her though, so now I guess I have to go dig through my original accessories!  I think I'm going crazy!  Lol!

I think it's really going to depend on where you're shipping to and what kind of box you use.  I haven't shipped a Sing N Dance Pinkie, but I've shipped a few of the Giant Blanks.  They're about the same size and weight.  I've had them cost anywhere from $10 to $50 with Priority.  I'd get some dimensions of the box you plan to use and quote it on USPS.  With packaging it shouldn't weigh more than about 5 pounds.

Pony Corral / Help with a barrette ID!!

So...I'm working on getting all of my childhood ponies MOC or MIB and I recently scored Banana Surprise.  Her card is awesome, but the bubble is slightly separated at the bottom and her ice cream cone barrette had fallen out (which I knew when I bought her).  So my plan was to replace the barrette and try to seal the bottom of the bubble a bit better.

HOWEVER...I've seen one guide that says she came with a yellow barrette and one that says she came with a purple one.  I could almost swear that the one I had as a kid was blue, but I haven't been able to dig it out yet.  Does anyone else have her MOC or have a way to definitively identify what color her ice cream cone should be?!

Oh, and BTW, if you have said barrette for sale, I'm looking to buy as close to perfect of one as I can find!

Well booooo!  I think this is the first time I've been so far removed from other collectors!  You'd think that would make pony hunting easier!

Lol!  I just moved to NC from VA!  I might actually go to the meet, it's basically down the street from my old neighborhood.  It's a good excuse to go back and visit!

Pony Corral / Just curious...Any North Carolina collectors out there?
« on: July 02, 2012, 12:31:40 PM »
So, I've been in NC for almost a year now, but I've been so absent from the boards lately that I have almost no idea who's who anymore!  I knew who was near me almost everywhere else I've lived in the last few years (yes, I'm notorious for moving a LOT), but now I guess I'm starting over!

Anyway, I'm in the Topsail Island area, between Wilmington and Jacksonville.  Anyone else?

I have about 1200, last time I actually counted.  Sooo....

19,214 + 1,200 = 20,414

Wow!  Look how white that door is!  I've always been hesitant to try sunfading the harder plastic pieces, like the playsets.  It's awesome to know it actually works!  Good job!  I'm interested to see if there's going to be any after-effects down the road.

I would have voted DC, but it's not on the list!

Long answer: all the post above.

Short answer: a lifetime supply.

I like your answer!  :D
I'll second that!!  I think it's really 2 different questions.  How many CHARACTERS for each gen, and how many PONY FIGURES for each gen?  If it's characters then I think the 600-700 sounds about right.  Figures, then LBS's estimate seems pretty good!

My apologies Crowning Glory, I obviously didn't read your post the way you intended!
