I love collecting the blind bag ponies with berry and flower cutie marks, so I'd personally love to see any of those!  I'll admit, though, I just like collecting anything with cute berry or flower prints (you should see my clothes!)

However, I have to agree with the over-all sentiment of any of them!  Throw some variety out there, so we can all have some more fun!  I'd especially like to see the clear Crystal Kingdom ones as brushables, though.  A lot of my favorite G1's were always the clear-ish sparkly kind!

Also, any boys.... I LOVE that the boys are clydesdales....

My collection is super small but I know I have, at least, one pink one!  I can't wait to get home and grab a picture to show her off!!

Off Topic / Re: Decoden Fans! Suggestions?
« on: June 26, 2013, 05:35:31 AM »
I love decoden, but I am soooo lazy about it!  I've had my pink XBox 360 controller ready for deco (i.e. I have all the gems and pearls stuck to it with poster tack) for almost 2 years.... and my headset has been in the same condition for, at least, 6 months.
The controller sits like that because I keep deciding it needs more pearls and sparkles, so I keep adding and then testing it to make sure it's not uncomfortable for me to use.  The headset.... because I'm too lazy to go out and find a bit of lace to edge a little Hello Kitty cameo with...

Outside of that, I have a bunch of decoden style cupcake rings from Paradise Rose Shop, I can't skip an anime or gaming convention I'm attending (that they happen to be at) without buying at least one... usually to match my newest Lolita dress or skirt (as in Japanese street fashion, NOT Nabokov...).  Along with those I also have a bunch of simpler decoden jewelry from various artist allies!

Pony Corral / Detemining Condition
« on: June 21, 2013, 11:29:52 AM »
Hi!  Me again, still trying to get more ponies priced at work  :)

I'm starting to run into a bit of a problem, though.  I've gotten through cleaning the ones that were in rather good condition to begin with, and am starting to get into some more troubled pony condition territory: scratched/fading symbols, body discoloration, mold spots, tail rust, pony cancer, etc....
I've been looking around and wonder if maybe I'm not using the right terminology, but is there a good guide out there for determining what a pony's condition is?  Or some general guidelines that are safe for me to use?
I know pricing is largely subjective, but being able to determine condition on some of these would help me out a lot!

Thank you!

I really like the idea of using resin!  It gives a really unique look!  Also, gorgeous color combinations!

Wow!  This is so pretty!  I love the multi-colored Cotton Candy, especially!

I like the Disney cupcakes.  The only reason I didn't pre-order any of them is because none of the Disney characters they offered really struck my fancy.  I'll have to see what the MLP ones look like before I decide! ^-^

I was at Goodwill the other day and found a shirt from Gap that looked unworn for 99cents.... I'm also infamous, among my friends, for being able to find $2 jeans (that also look unworn).

My BEST finds at Goodwill, though, are a Strawberry Shortcake Jar (with lid) for $1 and a 2-pack of G3 ponies containing Pinkie Pie and Sweetie Belle that was only $2 or $3.

Unless it's something like Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings, I pretty much ignore books I love that are made into movies.  Currently I'm finding myself in fits of near-rage over the World War Z movie.  I have determined that I may have to put up with the trailers now, which are driving me crazy (Max Brooks didn't write his zombies as runners!) but no one can force me to actually watch the movie.....

Introductions / So, Hi! I'm new here ^-^
« on: June 06, 2013, 09:33:42 AM »
So, as the title says, I'm new here!  I grew up with the G1 ponies, however, my sister and I being typical little children left them in the sandbox one to many times....
I found and fell in love with the G3 line when it started releasing (when I was in high school).  Unfortunately, I didn't have a job while in high school and only was able to get a few (two of which I found at Goodwill for $2!!).  I was, sort of, staying away from G4 (the fandom following it was so large it sort of turned me off) but caught an episode of F.i.M. once and was hooked ever since.  Now I have a Fluttershy, Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie with hair I custom styled happily sitting on a shelf in my apartment

I hadn't thought about my old G1's in AGES aside from the fact I knew my sister had given them to her oldest daughter (who is 3 and adores them).  However, a few months ago my boss at work (I work in a game and comic store) bought a HUGE collection of G1 ponies that needed a lot of TLC.  No one else wanted to do it, so the task fell to me.  I started looking around online, in my off time, trying to find ways to get them clean.  Then I found websites about restoration.  Then I found websites about customization.  Then I offered to restore my sister and my old ponies for my niece. Then I found forums.  Then I started poking around having decided I want to try my hand at customization (haven't done it yet, still researching!)
I keep joking with one of my friends (who is also my co-worker) that this rabbit hole keeps going deeper
So, rekindling my love of ponies is actually a new thing to me.  The idea of restoration and customization is very appealing to me because I love crafty stuff (even if it's forever-taking!)

Like I said, outside of ponies I craft, A LOT! I make jewelry, sew, and do prop customization.  I also use all of these skills to cosplay.  I also love to cook and bake!  I love to make Asian food, and bentos, as well as bake and decorate cupcakes!  I play lots and lots of video games and a large variety (Gears of War, to Dragon Age, to Katamari, to Animal Crossing, to Actraiser and Super Metroid!).  I love comics and manga as well!

And I guess that's it!  Way more wordy than I'd intended!
