Pony Corral / Re: Possible new official plushies?
« on: August 25, 2012, 08:45:42 PM »
I doubt those are legit or will be released but I wish! I have seen these before and I love them! I am not loving the plush that have come out so far. Would love to see something better.

Pony Corral / Re: Blind Bag Collectors ...

I just buy the whole box of each through toywiz or somewhere like that. I have done that with every wave so far and have always received every pony. I remember when my oldest sons were in their yu-gi-oh and pokemon phase. Gah...blind packs just stress me out! I much prefer to know I am getting them all in one fell swoop without wasted money.

My daughter LOVES the cards so we keep them. She is only 3 yo so she likes to play the match game by mixing the cards up, putting the ponies in a pile and matching card to pony. We also buy the sets that come out at TRU and the 3 packs. So far we have every one and that is a lot!

Pony Corral / Re: Jamie Olivers' kids named after MLP...

Hmmm...those are over-the-top and that is coming from someone who likes unique names (I have a Gage, Beckett, Landon and Phoenix). I think Poppy, Daisy, and Buddy on their own are fine. All of those are fairly common names in one generation or another. In fact, my grandma is Poppy June and my she named one of her sons (my uncle), Buddy. Petal is pretty out there but on its own not to far off from Soleil Moon Fry naming her daughter Poet or some of the other names that are out their (Zuma Nestor Rock anyone)?  Altogether with the other names in there make it a mouthful. Good thing we don't use our middle names very often lol.

I bought my daughter the rainbow set and "stole" the Emerald Ray for myself *hides head in shame* she is only 3 years old however, so she was over the moon happy about the others ;)

I am in Lynnwood and depending upon the day, would love to attend :) I sold my entire G1 pony collection off last year but I still love ponies and still collect the G4s. I always love talking ponies!

Ahhh *hugs* I am sorry AJG :( I have bought from you in the past and you are always amazing. Sometimes buyers are just so picky. Some people are also miserable and bitter and need a reason to complain. I would feel so angry that I offered this person an additional pony. Did you check to see if she dinged you on stars?

The one that always gets me is when buyers want you to teleport their item to them as soon as the auction ends. Makes me want to bang my head on my computer just thinking about it. I mean really? There are people starving in other countries and yet they are so spoiled that they cannot wait an extra couple days to receive a toy? Gah! Whoops, sorry, was that out loud? lol. As you can see, I have had my fair share of nasty buyers too ;)

I asked this on a different thread but our TRU that had the favorites set now does not only not have them, but they have removed the shelf price sticker. For those of you that work for TRU, what does that mean? Does that mean they won't be getting anymore?

Pony Corral / Re: Pics of the Wedding Castle?
« on: August 18, 2012, 09:55:17 PM »
I got the castle today, and I have pretty mixed feelings about it...

As a collector it's okay and pretty nice to display ponies on, so it fine for me if a little cheap feeling...

If it was bought for a kid I personally think it would be a bit disappointing, as there is not much 'play value' in it... It is literally a facade with a swing ( that doesn't swing very well) and a door that opens like a drawbridge ( it folds down ) pretty silly having a window in it for a pony to fall through when she walks across it like a trap door;)

And not a huge amount of accessories and next to no furniture.

And don't get me started on those stickers... Those drapes were a nightmare to put on!

I personally would have preferred it to be a little more expensive and a bit more special!

I completely agree! I bought the set for SA and PC but I was epically disappointed with the quality. For the price I expected just a little more. It feels cheap, looks cheap, and the few accessories it comes with are super cheap as well. Oh well, my daughter still finds it fun to put all of the blind bag figs on. For those of you on the fence, I would wait for a sale ;)

I went to the TRU that was carrying them here in Lynnwood WA and not only do they not have any but they removed the price sticker from the shelf. What does that mean? Does that mean they are not getting anymore? For those of you that work at TRU how do those shelf stickers work?

Pony Corral / Re: G3.5... Is there anyone that prefers them?
« on: August 18, 2012, 11:45:30 AM »
The thing I like about the G3.5 is that they are pretty good quality. Nice heavy plastic, good paint, good size to play with. They are cute in their own right but I think you have to view them separately than other pony gens because they are just so different. I like them, don't love them but have some. It was a running joke in my house for a while we would always say things like "Prof. Mustard killed Ms. Scarlet in the ballroom with the G3.5" (for those of you that remember clue lol) just as a joke because they were so dense and heavy. I think G4s have become my favorite of all gens which is saying something since I am a child of the 80s and love G1s

Who puts their facebook link on their auction page? Especially with pics like that! Maybe she was hoping to get more bids that way ;)

All that aside, you did the right thing by just paying for them separately. So not worth a battle. Hope they actually show up for you!

Pony Corral / Re: MLP:FiM Posters - Free with Purchase at Wal-Mart?
« on: August 16, 2012, 09:11:46 PM »
For those of you in Western Washington, the Wal-mart on Hwy 99 between Lynnwood and Everett have them but not the one on 164th. So, if anyone is looking...I got all 4 there with no problem.

Pony Corral / Re: Will this set be sold in stores?
« on: August 16, 2012, 09:06:42 PM »
I ordered it online and used my target debit card so there was no shipping charge. It got here super fast and my daughter adores this set. So cute! I highly recommend it.

Pony Corral / Re: Spa Pony Mini Figures Confirmation of Set
« on: August 15, 2012, 05:47:45 PM »
Why do they always have to include one of the regular six?
Ah cause that is how Hasbro rolls and has been since the G3 era.

I just want Z, so guess I shall look for her blind bag instead.

Including one of the 6 makes me happy actually because that probably means we will get 2 more sets of these 3 pack minis besides these ones. We have TS, RD, PP, AJ and we now just need the set with Rarity and the set with FS :) Maybe Rarity will show up with Hoity Toity?
