@wiccanpony1:  Thank you! I still have 1 that might be available today, it will be the last I'll make for a couple weeks =)

@Toaster: thank you!  I love making their mouths, it is what creeps me out of myself hehehe I like to make the change from the normal mouth to the wounded one, looking at them from the front you can still appreciate the beautiful side and the slight change to the zombie side. =)

Hi, how are you all?  I hope you're all doing great

It's been a while since I shared photos here, personal life is a bit crazy with trips and stuff and no time to take in commissions or so. So ponies were put aside (only worked in a couple commissions that I still need to finish)

I made this girls to help fund my full-time artist work, I made 3, but the last one still needs some details done.

Here you have 2 of my ladies

"Fear Song"
(Her color is a creamy soft yellow, kind of pastel =) )

"Deadly Secret"

Both girls follow the usual customizing process, acrylics, sealant, synthetic and nylon hair from Retro Dolls US (Bubblegum & Perfect Peach). Symbols are hand-drawn and hand painted. Wire jewelry was made specifically for their design by me. =)

I really hope you like them, thank you very very much for looking

Have a wonderful week everybody <3

What I love about the Arena is that it is a wonderful place to share your love for ponies and many other collectables, as well as learning a lot of everything concerning this world of colors hahaha There are lots of wonderful people who know a bit about everything here! I wish I had more time to spend here as I did some years ago =(

About your work, I love how the dreads can make a pony so unique!  It is a detail that can dictate the style of any design!  Love Love!!!

hi hi
in my small experience with FBR, I would definitely prefer to paint first, then rehair.  But there are some projects where I've thought about rehairing and then painting, not that i've done it, it's just an idea that has crossed my mind.  I would try to cover the hair in some way, of course, tie it, cover with some plastic so it won't be playing around your paintwork, and for the roots, I might consider use masking tape to cover them, but one for artists, being sure that it won't leave residues in the hair!  Of course, it's all matter of trying techniques, nobody said it is impossible, but it might require extra work ;)

BTW, this WIP shots, delicious as usual!!!!! <3<3<3

Ohhhh thank you! I've seen those paints in my local art material store, but wasn't sure if they worked. I've worked with other kind of paints but they are the most awful things you could ever work with T_T  it's a national brand (Mexico) but it gives a weird matte finish that sometimes is a bit discouraging when making colorful ponies =)

Can't wait to see your ponies finished!!! I repeat, I'm speechless even with your wip pics!!!  *sits patiently and waits til you finish*   Big hugs!

It's amazing all the process that takes place with all your ponies =D  I'm messy when working with apoxie, I'm surprised to see that you make the wings after the corset!  That's the unthinkable in my own process! You're my hero XD

Sorry for the question, but what kind of acrylics you use for your ponies?  Specially the metallic ones, the colors you use for your metallic details always haunt me!  >.<

Thank you Jupi! =D  Those legs are the best in my customizer's history =P
I'm happy that you like it!

I live in Mexico and of course, all my shippings are international =)

As a buyer:

I agree with hathorcat, that in Mexico's borders many stuff gets lost easily (when shipping items from other places to this country)
I don't purchase stuff on the internet anymore. Took me like 2 packages missing from the UK (from a lovely my little pony store I found, wich had great offers and stuff), where I lost my money and never got the ponies =(  and sadly the shipping was also expensive and never heard back from the sellers (because insurance wasn't included on the price).
Also I've purchased some stuff from ebay and other sites from USA, wich have never arrived either.

So, for new purchases, mostly for g3 baits, I have to wait til somebody sells a big lot of baits and see how much priority shipping costs, or at least something with a good tracking number and that I know it is insured.  Of course, it makes the price go higher =/     So it takes me around a year to re-stock baits T_T

As a SELLER:

I sell custom ponies , drawings and paintings.  As a seller, I've only had 1 item lost during my like 5 years of selling stuff.  But, this time was an original ACEO painting, wich had free regular shipping with option for the buyer to get the registered mail option.  Buyer didn't want it. Item got lost and then there was the buyer claiming that she wanted a new item =/  .  I didn't agree with it, because she had the option and knew the dangers.

When shipping stuff from Mexico, you get lectured from the staff that you have to send packages with the registered mail option. If not, you have like 99% chances of loosing it.  So, after this, and after many happy customers during all this years using this service, I chose to include registered shipping in all my prices.  From Mexico, Registered is cheaper.  And if you protect your package well, it will arrive safe =)

I've shipped to New Zealand, Australia, USA, Canada, Spain, Netherlands, UK, Honduras, Germany, UK, Italy and other countries without bigger problems (mostly caused by mistakes when packaging when I was new to this).  Italy hasn't been a problem for me so far, but I've heard horrifying stories about items getting damaged by the customs office, and seen a lot of sellers who decline all purchases that require the item being shipped to Italy. It hasn't been my case so far.   The only problem when shipping to Germany once was because the box whas held by customs, my client went to see what happened and when she came back she let me know that they just wanted to make a fuzz about the custom pony I sent. She solved this without problems claiming that it was just a toy.

With all this experience (and what's left as long as I sell stuff)  I feel fine with mi choice of including registered shipping with my packages. This goes out from my pocket, but it will guarantee a bit more the safe arrival of the package to its destiny, and of course, to guarantee that the quality of my own work will be excellent when the buyer opens the box  =)
