She really is a lovely pony, but not one of my favorites, so I'll have to pass.  :nope:

They both look great! Absolutely stunning, and nice work on your restores!

I'm kind of jealous that your knee-swirls are easier to photograph than mine! Aren't they just the cutest?

I was so obsessed with these things when they first came out. :)

Mine had bladders when they were new, but by now they've dried out. I think that's what happens to a lot of the secondhand ones- they dry out, if they don't pop first.

Can't forget "squeaky butts" or "Princess Rinse n Spits" either.

Wow, that is cool!  ^.^
Ok, then we know, that body and head actually belong together.
I think the symbol looks like "Kreuz" / cross from a card game.

Comparing with yours,  I noticed that mine has a reverse eye-painting...tat gives her an evilish look...

Thanks to your picture I also know, that the painting on mouth, ears and nose is original.
Thank you for sharing the picture and the information!  ^.^

I'm glad you like it. I'm totally in love with her!

I'm really happy that you mentioned card games too, because that's exactly what I see as the symbol as well. The symbol that you Germans call the Kreuz is what we Americans call the Club, so I named her Poker.

At first the head and neck confused me because they don't look as smooth as they should, but I'm sure that they're supposed to be together. Oh! And did you notice the little swirls on the knees? I think that's my favorite feature about them- it makes them look so chubby!

Ashlyne pointed out also the fact that they are really similar to Spanish piggies. I wonder if maybe they're direct knock offs of those, or at least related?

Someone on here has an orange one (of those fakies) that they adore. Hope they see this!

Ok, that sounds interesting! Hope the member see this and has more infos.
Thx!  ^.^

Not much seems to be known about these little guys other than the fact that their country of origin is Spain. They appear to be quite rare as well, so you are lucky to have it!

I bought mine from ashlyne at the MLP Fair in Indianapolis, and she told me that she got it from a Spanish seller in a lot of nirvanas on eBay. The seller didn't know much English, so she couldn't ask questions about the fakie itself

Thank you for bumping this, cutest-curtsy. It really has been quiet here, hasn't it? Your fakie is so pretty- what a nice way to break the ice again!

Bigmylittleponyfan... ooooh, I wish overseas shipping wasn't so much. Otherwise, I'd be all over that pretty blue Remco! Maybe after the holidays. Good luck on your sales!

We got in trouble once for sneaking orange soda into my room and having a tea party, and we might have just gotten a slap on the wrist if we didn't decide to throw toilet paper streamers afterwards. My mother was livid. But maybe if you planned it, it won't be so bad.

Just trying to think like a six-year-old. Kids love creative messes like that!

Good luck, and I hope you guys have a blast!

Wow... I can't get over how beautiful he is. You're so lucky to have him!

I'll be honest, she's not one of my favorites, and I'm not in any hurry to grab her for my collection. :(

I DO like the Argentinean version though. She's so pretty with the orange colors, and in that pose!

Pony Corral / Re: Cleaning So Soft Ponies
« on: November 01, 2014, 03:31:23 PM »
There was a Facebook discussion about this not too long ago that suggested washing So Softs in a COLD Oxy bath, as opposed to a HOT one. Hot will melt the glue and cause flock loss, so what you'll want to do is start a hot bath to get the chemicals nice and mixed, but then let it cool. Scrub GENTLY with an old toothbrush, and that will apparently take care of it.

I've never tried Oxy before, but I plan to get a bucket soon because I recently got a Skippity Doo with some pink on her cheek, and I've had an otherwise mint Posey forever with some dirt on her leg and lip. I guess we'll be trying it together!

I hope that helps. Good luck! And congrats on getting a Magic Star... she's a lovely pony that's been evading me for a while now! :)

I'm a little sad... I didn't even notice the blank roots until they were pointed out. Here I was all excited to own a cool OOAK pony too!

But even if it is colored, I'm totally happy with that because I love flawed ponies made of kitschy "child art." I keep a Bowtie with pink highlighter makeup because she reminds me of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. I love Rocky Horror ponies.

So no worries... she still has a place in my herd. :)

Why would you say that, Artemesia? I think she looks cute!
