Wystearya: I have both Wendy and a Eudora! I haven't actually ever taken any photos of my Eudora, I've been waiting to buy some backdrops for that, but I'll snap an in house pic for you later! I love the resin quality. Beautifully smooth and the white skin takes colour so well. When the stringing is done correctly, Wendy's posing is amazing. DZ is known to do bum stringing, though. I was rreally lucky and got a really nicely strung one, but I have a friend whose Wendy was super kicky and couldn;t do anything with her at all and she had t retsring and even then had to suede and wire her. My Eudora's posing is a tad limited because of her engineering, and I expect BigD will be the same. The knees don't move inward so much, just a tad, but enough to strike a pose. The BigD's are known to be strung well, though. I don't think many have had problems with them? So, I think you should be good on that end. And if you're painting him yourself you'll have to restring anyway, so it's no big deal. I will warn you that the stringing is a bit more complicated for the BigD and Eudora types so pay attention when unstringing him. Their heads are really deep and narrow so hard to get the eyes in. Make sure you got a Q-tip on hand for eye positioning. UM, and I think that's it? But, yeah. I really love DZ's resin! It's hard to explain, but it's some of the nicest in my bunch. I even like it better than my Fairyland resin, the company everyone goes bonkers for, haha.

Faceups look so fun to do! If I weren't colour-deranged (I am so bad at manipulated any sort of colours in any artistic way. I stick to sketching) I would try it myself. I am now tryng to find Canadian artists with open slots and prices I can afford. I understand high pricing, mind you, as it is artwork, but I have a certain budget I have to stick to. I found one on etsy I'ma try next for my incoming Magic Mirror girl. I like the work she posted on DoA. Canadian artists who are actually available for work or who advertaise are few and far between, let me tell you!

Thank you, she is indeed a pretty girl. I have seen people do so many amazing things faceup/blushing wise, too! I bought her second hand with her original blushing because I just loved the blues and pinks and golds sooo much together and they are truly stunning up close, but I also love seeing all the different ideas people have for her. I tried clothing her when I first got her because I wanted to keep her "decent", but decided she is much prettier and much happier in the buff. Who swims in a dress anyway?(she's a naiad, haha) I also have a Peakswoods monthly fairy as her son because his colouring is similar!

I think DZ Wendy is my dream doll (really the special version but lbr that won't be happening.) I can't stop looking at her. I guess I need to sell some stuff to try to get one...or sell a lot of stuff...lol THE HUNT BEGINS.
I have one! She's one of my fave dolls, actually. Her name is Morwenna.

I'm bad!  I just ordered Souldoll Junia,  so now I'll be putting my RS Rong up for sale. One in, one out.
Congrats! I'm planning to put her on the six month layaway closer to the end of the ordering period :)

Are you talking about a limited? Luts rarely rereleases limiteds, unofrtunately :(, but they have been known to use the same base sculpt again in seomthing else somtime down the road like they did with senior65 Bory. Which one were you talking about by chance, anyway?

I also really want a Lulu deer! I almost bought an Acorn and Mint for it, haha. I want an Acorn and Mint, but I hate DS bodies with a passion so I passed and maybe I can find a Lulu on the 2nd hand market?  I mean, I love my DS girl. She's my fave doll. But, she needs a new body in the coming year cause her current one drives me up the wall with it's aesthetics and engineering. She's a good poser, but holding the poses is another story so I've HG sueded her to hell and back and am considering wiring her, too. She has these weirdo gravity defying rocket boobs xD And her joints are so cluttered and clumsy and ugly. Time for a Peakswoods body!! /endrant

I've also decided I am keeping Oona. She'll be getting a new body. I'm hoping to get the small breasted/slightly mature yosd one from Dollzone and blush it to match. It's so cute and I love the flexibility of Morwenna, my Wendy, who has the same jointing system as this body.

After Christmas I will be done paying for my MM Saoirse!!! My grail! I am so supeerduper over the moon excited. >w<

Luts takes about two months to ship out, which is aaaactually a relatively short wait time in the BJD world.

For a basic doll, they are really cute. The faces are so much cuter than Mattel's, though much younger looking, which works for most, but Aurora and Elsa seem a little off. I'll still be getting them, though, because I do love that type of aethetic anyway, but I can see people complaining about it. I don't think kids would, though. In fact, I think these are MUCH kid friendlier in style in a sense?
Ariel is the cutest, which makes me happy cause she'smy fave princess, and I was so disappointed with Mattel's recent face for her. It was icky D:

Tuney your girl is AMAZING OMG I AM SO JEALOUSSSS. My mom saw and was like "Why don't you have one?!!?" and I did a mental head shake. I don't have one because I was on a buying spree at the time and was afraid of what she would think of so many dolls coming home. She told me the next chance I get to buy one, I should go for it, haha. For now, I'll just drool over yours!

Guys, I want the new Doll Leaves deer so badly that I am considering buying a doll just to get it. What is wrong with meeee?

Are you on DoA? If so, you might be able to participate in a group order for Souldoll to save on shipping!

Luts takes about two months! They've been shipping super fast though, lately. My friend last month got her doll in a month, so don't be suprised if he shows up sometime in December, but don't get your hopes up, either.

Supia Ariel will embody my most imortant OC eventually so I am super partial to her, haha! (I want her in NS, though). I know Supia has a layaway system, too! Which is where they split up the cost into monthly payments and when you've paid off the doll and shipping cost completely, they'll ship you your doll. This makes it easier to afford.
You can also do layaway for Luts dolls through a US middleman called Fabric Friends and Dolls but Luts only offers a 45 day one directly through their site (and yes, FF&D is a completely legit dealer for Luts).

Tan won't chip as it is the reson colour, not a paint, but I wouldn;t recomment any sanding be done by yourself as that can distort and lighten the colour. Also keep your dolls away from extended periods of time in the sun as this can also damage the resin. I often take my dolls for quick little photoshoots outside, but I wouldn't, let's say place them to sit in the window for display, you know?

As for which is BETTER for a first doll? Bory is smaller and easier to manipulate, and more lightweight, and if you find you don't like the hobyy at all, he would quite easy to resell. But, Ariel is bigger therefore there woud be less fumbling, less chance of fear of breaking things that seem more delicate and c'mon, SHE'S GORGEOUS. (Like, I said. I'm a little bias, haha).
