I intend to go this year, but I can't officially RSVP just yet. I'm so excited, though! August 10th is the day before my birthday! This will be the best way to celebrate it.  Also, thank you for having it in the summer rather than in fall. My schedule is just so super busy in fall, and that's why I was unable to make it last year. Haha, that's awesome. If I just sing those words in my head whenever I hear that song it might make the song more tolerable.  And I love this thread, BTW. I'm much more boring than the rest of you, though. I know there are songs that I have associated with ponies, but I can't remember most of them. I do associate random songs with things all the time, though. I do often associate "Backstabber" by The Dresden Dolls with ponies, not because the lyrics are relevant but because of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0Teob57Kvw There's a part in the middle where there is a line of ponies on the ground to lure Amanda. It makes me gleeful.

I'm definitely going to be getting some of those Pinkie Pies, but I have no Target in my town. I could either drive about 40 miles to get to one or I could wait until the next time I visit my mother and go to the Target in her town.
Oh to live in a town with a Target! My life would then be complete.

I love her color scheme, and totally agree about her being a favorite. Some of my favorite overlooked G3s are the ones with the weird names -- they cause nostalgia for me because when the G3s first came out I was fascinated by the nonsensical names that some of the ponies had. Names such as Razzaroo or Tinka Tinka Too. Of course, there are also the wonderful tropical ponies in my avatar.

I live in Georgia and it gets about as hot as possible here (I once heard that the reason it's so hot in my town specifically is because it is located near the gates of Hades -- I might agree with this theory).
I had my ponies stored in the attic for about 5 years at one point, and though some of them warped a bit, there was no severe damage caused by the heat. The warping was fixable. I still try not to store my ponies in the heat if it can be helped, but I don't think they will melt into a puddle if you do have them stored.

I'm so jealous! Really, really really. How often will we get opportunities to go to the fair so close to home? The only reason I'm not there myself is because I made arrangements to pet sit for someone during this time before I knew when the fair was. Have fun, though, and tell us all about it!

As for kids... as long as the parents' are in charge of their kids and don't let them run amok, I'm totally fine with having kids at the meet. I was at a doll meet up once, and someone brought her 2 young boys. They were loud, had grabby hands, and kept snatching wigs off the dolls. I told them very nicely that that wasn't nice to do to the dollies, and their mother jumped down my throat saying it wasn't my business to discipline her children. Well, she sure as heck wasn't doing it!
Wow, that's so not cool. I think we're a small enough group that that sort of behavior won't be tolerated. That's exactly why I'm afraid of kids, though! So many parents don't teach their children to be respectful, and kids like that should not be brought to adult events. PS Anyone into Monster High coming?
I'm totally into Monster High. Also, I like the idea of making a sign-in table and getting everything organized like that. It should make everything much easier.
