I haven't been part of the pony community for very long, I bought my first G1 in 2012..
Well, I recently got Parasol for $4. I figured it was a steal, considering she was in fairly good condition. :newpony: Her symbols were excellent, her mane was awesome, her tail needed a little work, but I was totally willing to do it. She just had this look in her eyes that said 'I need a good home where I'll be loved forever'...
I couldn't resist it. :lovey:

When she arrived, I noticed her plastic felt different from all my other G1's. It was more 'heavy-duty'. And her eyes looked a little different...
I got a 2007 remake... Without even realizing it... -_-
It is in no way the seller's fault, they CLEARLY stated that her hoof read 2007.
I was just careless...  :redface:
Has anyone else ever done something like this?

Introductions / Hello From North Carolina

Hi.. I really hope I'm posting this right..
   
     I'm sixteen years old and I live in  a small town in North Carolina near the mountains. I'm enrolled in high school and hope to go to art school afterwards. I'm shy most of the time..
     
     I started watching My Little Pony : Friendship is Magic with my little brother in 2011, because of it's popularity. I had had G3's when I was younger, but I was never an avid collector. After I had all of the Mane Six toys, I began searching for more G4 merchandise and stumbled across Lauren Faust's concept drawings. I absolutely fell in love with the G1's! They were just so cute! I ordered my first three ponies not long after. I'm not too picky, as I think it's fun to restore them to their original glory.
     
     I like that most of my ponies are older than I am.

    My small collection currently has ten ponies, all of which I bought in fair to poor condition and cleaned them up. I like to think they are comfortable here.. That's a weird thing to say...   :lovey:

I look forward to my time here  :hope:
