Asking $75! OBO - SOLD

Hi everyone.  I am trying to make some room in my house by selling my Paradise Estate.  All of the major structure pieces are included.  The roofs of some of the buildings are starting to yellow a bit, and all of the pieces will need to be cleaned since this has been stored for quite awhile.  Some of the pictures make the yellowing look far worse than it actually is.  As far as I can tell, the only items missing are 2 rings to the stack toy (missing blue and white), 2 pink spoons, 1 pink knife, a post for one of the ceiling fans, 1 pink top for the lantern gate lights, the two hearts that attach to the pool canopy, and most of the flowers.  You will get everything pictured.  If you need more pictures, please let me know.  Shipping will be in 2 or 3 huge boxes, depending on how I manage to get them packed safely.  Please contact me for a shipping estimate.  I am not offering international shipping at this time.  I am able to do a local pick up if you can meet me within a reasonable distance of where I live (east coast, mid Atlantic).  Please contact me with questions!

This is an old photo, but here's one of my favorite boxed Barbie sets.  I happened upon it in an antique store a few years back for a great deal.

wizard of oz!!!

I still hate that movie to this day because of it.

yet I can watch the second one with no problems

How about Return to Oz??  For the longest time, I wasn't sure whether that movie was a dream I had or a real movie!

Ack!  That's what I get for quickly responding before consulting my guide to be sure.  Yes, that's a SL Francie.  She is still really pretty even with the damage!

Yes, that is a Francie doll missing her eyelashes.  I'm not sure about the not having a place for the eyelashes, as that version definitely came with them.  There should be really tiny holes along her top lash lines.

If I were in your position, I would hold on to them a bit longer.  If there's something else that you would be able to sell instead, I would go that way.  Some of these newer collector dolls are holding their value pretty well, but it just takes some time for the prices to rise.  :)

There are a few of these listed on the US Ebay site.  The brunette has sold recently around $60, and I think the redhead is around the same price.  The blonde seems lower, as most of the ones priced at $60 and above have not sold.  They are really pretty dolls!

The Dollhouse / Re: Can you help me with a Barbie/Ken Price Check?

In his current condition, I would put the lot between $40 and $50.  The missing flocking is a big flaw, but it does happen to be common with these first issue Ken dolls.

Even though her box is crushed, she should still bring some money because of how popular she is.  I honestly would place her around the $35 range, as her loose complete outfit alone usually sells for $20 or so.

The Dollhouse / Re: ID andPC needed on a Barbie, PC on Big Jim doll

I would sell as a lot, personally, because I'm not very familiar with the line.  If you have the patience to piece it all out, you may be able to get a bit more.  With the smaller doll lines (LLL, Moondreamers, etc), I like to collect pieces and dolls for awhile, then put the whole lot up for auction and start over with a new bag.  It's quicker to get rid of the items, and you do usually get a better price.

I sold a Big Jim and I think a Big John doll lot about 2 years ago, and even though all of the items had a smoky smell to them, it ended at over $70.  I think Big John is harder to find, so that may have been part of the price.  I did not have any extra outfits other than what was actually on the dolls (or action figures, lol).  You really can never tell with these things when they'll go high and when they'll close at the starting price.  That's one of the reasons I suggested the $24.99.  I'm not sure what you paid, but that's a price I'd feel ok selling at.   :)

I don't know if I can give you an accurate price on Big Jim, but I do know that he somewhat rare and hard to find.  Your best bet would be to put him on ebay.  Do those outfit and accessories belong to the Big Jim line as well?  If they do, I would start the lot on ebay at $24.99 and see where it goes.

Starting with the Doll Reference online site might be the way to go.  Link

I know that the Cissy dolls from this maker go for big money, but the smaller Wendy size dolls from the 1970s and later have fallen a lot in value.  Once you find what type of doll you have, I would check ebay for completed listings.  If you get a chance, please post pictures!
