It's so hard to pick a favorite!
G1: Flower Bouquet. I love her color combination and she was one of my favorites as a kid. I just love that she is so detailed. And Sugarberry...and Locket...and Dancing Butterflies...this list could get long so I will stop now!
G2: Ivy. Also partial to Moonshadow for some reason.
G3: There's a lot of them I really like, but current favorite is Butter Pop. Just love the symbol.
G4: Favorite character is Fluttershy but of the toys, I actually like regular Sunset Shimmer the most. Also, I could take or leave Lyra in the show but I really like her as a toy. Not sure why!

My dad doesn't have a middle name, but sometimes he gets junk mail where they made up a middle name for him. The weirdest middle name they've put on the mail was Xavier. I like to think some data entry clerk is having fun making up names somewhere,  haha.  Also, we used to have a very talkative Siamese cat. A telemarketer called while the cat was busy chatting away and the telemarketer guy asked in a scared voice "Is that a lion?" We said yes and he hung up in a flash!

This is such a creative idea! I love that you can push the buttons on her side, that is kind of awesome. And her little hat made out of the other button...so cute!

Off Topic / Re: Any antique experts here? Need info on something.

This is a challenging one. I don't have a ton of background with antiques (I go to antique stores a lot and also watch a ton of Antiques Roadshow lol) but my best guess is that this is a lamp from the 1930s-40s. I'm basing that on the shape of the lamp bulby-thing (<-- clearly not an expert, haha) as well as the decorations on it and the fact that is that brass/marble combo which was still a popular style at the time. The bulby thing puts me in mind of schoolhouse lights which were popular in the 20s/30s and for some reason are having a revival right now in home decorating.

Originally, I thought maybe it was a Victorian era oil lamp that had later been converted into an electric lamp like this one: visitors can't see pics , please register or login

but the lamp bulby-thing doesn't look victorian era to me. So, it's more likely to have come from the 1930s/40s. I leave out the 1910s/20s because they shifted away from the victorian era look in favor of Art Deco. However, this kind of pseudo victorian style stuff was also produced in the 40s and early 50s during the "Hollywood Regency" period of decorating, so it's possible that it is also from then. It could be a reproduction but I think in this case that's really unlikely since you found it at the Salvation Army (meaning, somebody would have donated it and is unlikely to have ordered a reproduction and then thrown it out). It probably came as a pair, meant to be put on nightstand tables.

You might try googling 'Hollywood Regency' style and see if there's anything similar to your lamp, or try looking at 1930s era lamps to see if there's anything similar to yours! It's a lovely piece!

Off Topic / Re: Eggs!
« on: May 17, 2015, 11:07:01 AM »
I like to make a soft boiled or poached egg and put it on top of steamed asparagus. The runny yoke is kinda like a sauce. I also used to make spaghetti carbonara a lot, where you mix an egg into a cheese and hot water mix to form a sauce. Also, I love scrambled eggs with cheese, they are the best. I also like deviled eggs for parties since they are easy to make. I sometimes make a German egg noodle called spaetzle which is my absolute favorite food in the world. And, of course, quiches, frittatas, boiled eggs on a salad, poached on a piece of toast, on top of a rice bowl, inside a breakfast burrito... the only way I don't like eggs is pretty much in egg salad. Blegh! It grosses me out for some reason.

And one last question...is it all right if I added in her symbol later, or would you rather me not edit it at all?

Thank you so much!

Sure, I can do one with horn and one without. You're free to edit as you please, I don't mind at all! :)

I'm making seapony adoptables!
I've put together some seapony adoptables and am excited to share them!

I can do your OC or Hasbro ponies. Also, definitely able to do small stuff like piercings, glasses, etc. I'm not putting cutie marks on them since there's not a whole lot of room on their teeny tiny bodies.  I'm doing three at a time for now.

How it works:
See if I am open by checking the thread title or the "Spots" list :D
If there's an opening, make a request by filling out the form below!
If you miss being one of the first three to request, please resubmit your request when I'm open :) Thanks!

SPOTS:
1 - CLOSED for now!

Pickups!

visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Form:
What body color?
What hair color(s)?
What eye color?

What hair does your seapony have? (Pick from Luna, Tossled or Braided)
What accessories does your seapony have? (Pick any necklace - pearl or shell - and/or any headdress - pom poms or crystal. Personally, I think the crystal headdress looks best without a necklace since they overlap a little, but it's up to you. Or, you can have no accessories and be a free swimmin' seapony.)
What color are the accessories? (For example, do you want white pearls, pink pearls? Do you want the shell or the beads on the shell necklace a certain color? What color would you like your headdress? I can make the crystal a different color than the ropes or do different color pom poms)
Reference?
Please write HUZZAH PINEAPPLES so I know you read this all the way through  ;)

Examples! Anyone is free to use these, steal them for your sig or something :) I tried to do at least one pony from each gen
