While I am less than impressed with my Deluxe Fluttershy, I want to say this...

These toys are not collectors items. They are produced and marketed for little children to play with and eventually toss to the side for the next big thing.

Peg feet, molded tops and the lack of articulation VS. the retail price sucks. For the same price I could have gotten a nice MH doll or even two of the cheaper ones ( Roller Derby/ Dance Class ).

I still like my EqG doll though because she is cute, but she's not much more to me than a display toy like Novi Stars or even the Kawaii crush toy line.

Proof that Daiquiri Ice Dollyhair is brilliant for just about every pony! Lovely work Ice Gypsy.

Primbrose, rehairing can be addictive. especially with customs or even alt. versions of Hasbro ponies. I've found a purpose for all my G4 duplicates ( Hasbro really loves their G4 duplicates... ) and now I don't feel so bad about wanting to buy the two set Princesses and Mane Six packs. I really want a Princess Candace and Princess Twy since both come with a mane six partner, I can always rehair those and make my own customs.

I've got a Rainbow Dash ( G4 ) I want to do primarily in Dollyhair's Virgin Snow and the rest of the Bluebell I have left.

I am also in the process of a Pinkie Pie ( G4 ) in something to complement her cutie mark balloons. Yellows and blues, but haven't come up with a color list yet.

Pony Corral / Re: Removing tail washers -and- clamps?
« on: September 02, 2013, 03:02:34 PM »
If there is no tail rust or other issues with a pony, I leave it as is. Some of my ponies have crispy dry hair or have had a tiny trim from previous owners, but it doesn't bother me.

In most of my ponies ( I buy large bait lots ), there are issues like tail rust, mold inside, in which they either become alternate rehairs or up for restoration. These make up more than 90% of my collection. I don't have plans on selling them. Any ponies I do sell, are sold as is because it does affect the value of a pony.

Many collectors want everything original, even down to the factory curls. You'll get a better price for a pony in good condition from the factory than a pony who's neck seal has been broken and parts replaced in most cases.

when I rehair I do replace all metal tail parts with zip ties. It's easier to install a new tail as someone above mentioned. One big tie for the tail and a smaller one as a washer to keep the tail secure in the bootay. lol

You do want to let potential buyers know any alterations you've made to the ponies.

I have not seen the EqG movie. I don't really think I would unless it came out on Netflicks or if it happened to be a freebie with MLP FiM merchandise I bought.

I did get a Deluxe Fluttershy EqG doll. I hate that they have no feet and like Bratz, they have to wear shoes all the time. At least the Bratz Kidz had feet *shoes* and could go barefoot or wear other types of shoes.

I love her but the Hasbro G4 quality issues are there. I think for $21 I could have gotten a MH doll or a second Pinkie Cooper doll but I really wanted Fluttershy EqG doll.

If they had maybe put a few more joints or made them with regular feet, then I'd really love these dolls. My doll can't really sit or stand without looking awkward. She is cute though.

The Dollhouse / Re: ARGH - what head for 27cm obitsu body?!

S-Gretel head looks so nice!

http://parabox.jp/obitsu/HD-PB-GRETEL3.html

 -_-  Now I want one...
Maybe the heads won't look so small with wigs/hair?
I've always wanted to hybrid a 25cm body with one of my Bratz Kidz doll heads.

The movie? Blah.

I'd love to see what the dolls look like. Why would a pony anthro have a pony pet? It's kinda silly.  :P

I have Yasmin with the henna arm tattoos <3

Depending on what Bratz you have, I am sure you could unload them here first?

Just looking through eBay Bratz lots will tell you that nude and feet/shoe - less doll lots don't go for much. I have a few Bratz I got from GoodWill that came with clothes and feet/shoes and I paid maybe $5 for ziplock bags with four to five dolls inside.

So, looking over my Lagoona, I think I want to clean up her sloppy hands/webbing over paint. Has anyone else been bothered by Lagoona's hands? It looks like just going over the over paint parts with a tiny brush and Winsdor & Newton's Brush cleaner might be the way to go about it?
