I auto-bid and then ignore the auction until it's over. It's too frustrating and upsetting to watch yourself get outbid ALL THE TIME in the last second of bidding.

I totally want in on this, just need to find myself a fakie!

I used to be all about Dullcote, but the last couple of times I've used it, it's gone slightly sticky afterwards - like, it seems to dry fine, but then it slowly goes tacky. It's frustrating.

while the customs are stunning (amazing wings, the baby is especially cute!)
but look at that Steamer's PINK hair!   I could have used that tail to upgrade one of mine

I love how they turned out, but OMG, I think that Steamer was nicer than a lot of folks' collection ponies. (He's definitely nicer than my first one was!) :( Seriously, fading pink is so hard to photograph, and he looks pink in these shots! I wish you had at least pulled out his tail instead of cutting it off, it would have been a great upgrade tail for a Posey or even a Tornado! (And sometimes people will pay for a really nice replacement tail, especially in a HTF color like fading pink!)

Big Brothers are getting harder to find, I really hope this one was truly beyond saving - because he looks really nice in these shots, before and after!

This! :/

Buffy, you can see that the plugs on your are linked through each other, not just pushed through and left as loops. Nhal's one has the little un-linked loops left by a rehairing tool. :)

Are all Italian CP smaller than US counterparts, or just the dwarves? Because my Polly is quite a bit smaller than my US release CP ponies.

I'm pretty sure someone did a custom set of these a while ago, but I can't remember who.

Yeah, looks like dirt and fading to me.

Don't do it! I'm sure there's people out there who would happily swap one in worse condition that's more suitable for deflocking for the one  you'e got. it's getting harder and harder to find nice so softs, it seems a shame to deflock any that aren't already really bad.

Mine's pretty close to a match with pomme de amour, as far as Dollyhair colours go.
This isn't my picture, but mine has hair like this, except maybe a bit faded:

MLP Nirvana / Brazil Twist hair colour
« on: March 03, 2014, 12:26:27 AM »
So I always thought that Brazil Twist had a medium red hair colour - I know mine does, and most others I've seen. But I was looking at the one BerryMouse has for sale currently, and apparently her hair was a match for Firebird - much brighter and more orange.

Are there two different versions? Has anyone else seen another firebird-red haired Brazil Twist? Thoughts?

Customs / Matte Sealers
« on: February 17, 2014, 10:26:17 PM »
Does anyone have any recommendations for matte sealers, other than Testor's Dullcote?
It's not actually matte enough for what I want! I find it more satin the *matte* finish.
I'm also finding with the Testor's it's also starting to go a bit sticky if I handle it more than a tiny bit. I find when I'm rehairing, there's quite often little sticky dark patches on ear tips etc. afterwards, and it's driving me crazy! It's happened with more than one can, too.
