Same here, thats why i missed her the first time, i didn't have anything else to dress her in and that outfit is awful  I know wave 1's price is insane! I frequently watch her loose on ebay and it always gets quite crazy. I think she was hard to find when she was first released, i don't think i ever saw one in person, but still i'm sure she wasn't £40-£60 rare and thats just loose!

TrixieStix: I think its glue/whatever they use to make the hair so stiff. A few of mine have it, i've been meaning to wash it off, but not gotten around to it yet. Fräulein_Kim: Yeah the re-release is the School's out version, I like her first version too, just not her face. I much prefer School's outs face but for everything else i prefer wave 1. Luckily i have wave 1 Clawdeen's outfit that i plan to dress School's out in. Although getting her isn't looking good

Been doll hunting today, no sign of Venus or Robecca (i was being optistic hunting for them anyway) but we haven't had the re-release cases yet either, and i'm starting to think we'll never see them here  I really want Frankie and Clawdeen, i missed them the first time. Have the re-released dolls actually been turning up outside of the US? I'm very curious to know since i assume as soon as Robecca and Venus start showing up its a sign we won't be getting them?

Got shamed by a nine-year-old at TRU today.

...still kind of stung, though. First time actually out of the house and at TRU in months, and this happens? Ugh. My social anxiety was right. I'm gonna stick to ordering everything online from now on.
Besides, they didn't have Ghoulia and the scooter. Just the scooter.
That is so sad... most of the kids Ive run into who say anything are just shocked that an adult likes the same things they do... they really think its cool. Of course, I have pink and black hair, so I've also been told that I look like Draculaura...
Haha my dad says i look like Ghoulia! I have blue hair. Kids tend to stare at me but they've never said anything. A little girl crouched next to me once when i was looking through the dolls on the bottom shelf, that freaked me out, i have social anxiety too. That was mean for that kid to say, you're never too old for something you enjoy! I'd say try not to let it bother you but i know from experience how hard it is But still what do 9 year olds know anyway  Eeee my Scarah Screams arrived! I've been paranoid since i ordered her she'd have horribly wonky eyes, but other than an awkward box pose she's perfect, what a relief

OMG OMG Howleen!!!! Her basic never apealed to me too much, but pink hair Howleen! OMG I think i'm going to need her! I just love how cute and small she is and her little folded over ear. Good to know theres going to be atleast one other version of her, i really can't justify the 2 pack, especially since i'm not too keen on her hair and outfit, but i cannot wait for this one!

I remember ages ago in the thread (wow it moves fast) you guys were discussing unhelpful retail workers? Or have i just imagined that? Anyway just thought i'd share my story. Back when i was hunting for Rochelle, the guy at customer services in Tesco took my number and said as soon as they got the new shipment he'd put one aside for me and ring me so i could go and collect her. A few weeks later i got lucky and was there as they were restocking and found the most beautiful Rochelle, i figured the guy had lost my number or something so i bought her. Still no phone call a few weeks or so after that, and then yesterday he rang! He had managed to find me a Rochelle and put her to one side for me! I was really not expecting it and felt kind of bad i had already bought her. I just thought i'd share as i hear alot about really unhelpful employees but this guy went out of his way to help me, just shows there are some really helpful people out there

Eep i know how that feels i have a second edition Abbey too and manage to convince myself every so often i like the first editions better. I've seen the first edition in person several times and never picked her up. To me she looks more like webisode Abbey but i don't think she's as pretty, currently i'm happy with my second edition Abbey but i'm annoyingly indecisive

I always loved Abbey's artwork, but then when I saw her in stores (1st release) for the first time, I was incredibly thrown off by her face and thought she was ugly and disappointing..! :<
Then I saw the second release and thought I'd like her better.. but now that I have her on my shelf I am not suuuuuuuure. xD
I guess I really have to get both and compare them for a while.. LOL.
(btw I just posted a new thread asking for others pictures of Abbey to help me find out. Haha.. maybe it's of interest for you as well? ;D)

Nah, It's not noticeable unless you're looking at her real close. Only thing I'm worried about is pulling the hands on and off, haha.
Maybe Mattel would replace just her hands/arms if they ever did break? i know you can buy hands/arms from them, not sure about Toralei's though since she's kind of newish

Yes, my Abbey had the loose plastic issue on her wrist as well, I did just like LiquidCyanide has said as well, I carefully peeled it off and she seems to be fine now. :>
(my only peeve is that she is the second release for I originally thought I'd like her better than the first. Now I'm not so sure... meeeh. :<
I'll probably try to get a nude first release from ebay, see which one I like better in person and then sell off the other one. AGH MH, why must you make it so hard on me with all that re-releases and re-designs.. :E)

....nooooo. While redressing Toralei (Operetta's borrowing her fashion pack top for ANTM) my fiance noticed her left hand has a lot of extra plastic hanging out of the joint, and it doesn't sit in the arm right. I'm gonna be devistated if she breaks, because I can't afford to get a new one of her with how expensive she is (I got mine, loose and not complete for like $30 after shipping). Damn you Mattel ;o;
When i got my Rochelle she had loads of extra plastic hanging out of the back of her knee joint and her legs just fine, i just carefully pulled it off, hopefully your Tora is ok! 14 dolls currently and the CAM Gargoyle i got the other day, the vampire is in storage in pieces because i have no nice clothes for him yet (Plus his face is kind of creepy )

Hey ya'll!! wow! It has been a super busy day, I see!
I had to work out of town today, and was able to stop at two Kmarts and a Toys R us. I snagged SIgnature Nefera and Operetta for $20, and DotDead Lagoona for $22!
My issue is Lagoona. Her lower arms and hands do not have the same sheen as the rest of her body. The only way to describe it: they look Chaulky... is this normal? should it all have the pearlescent tone? She also has a paint scuff one the backside of one forearm, and her pinky is bent really severely....
Any insight?

My SO Lagoona has chalky looking arms/hands too i think its because they're painted not moulded like the rest of her. You could try warming her hand in hot water, bending the finger into a better position and then use ice cold water to set it?

Not to mention no space for anything! I only collect one of each character with a few exceptions, i don't even have everyone and i'm running out of space! I wanted the Scary Tales dolls to keep MIB but if theres going to be superheros i'll wait for those! So cool!
