I have a seashell. She's not in great condition, but she displays lovely. She has silky hair, great symbols and eyes. She just has some pink marks on one side and a faint blue mark on the other. She has no age spots or discoloring.

I'd love one or two common G1 bait ponies with great bodies but bad hair or symbols. I rehair these for my daughter to play with. Let me know what you have. :)

Shipping from US.

Pony Corral / Cleaning My Pretty Pony Peachy? Pics.
« on: September 07, 2015, 06:07:29 AM »
I came across this My Pretty Pony in le wild. She's actually in great shape with no cracks. Unfortunately she's got some discoloration/yellowing. Has anyone had luck with cleaning a MPP with this problem? I've seen some tutorials for yellowed plastic consoles and electronics. Should I try one, risk ruining her but possibly restore her to NM condition?

Pony Brag Arena / I know it's not much... but my daughter's first pony!
« on: August 16, 2015, 07:15:37 AM »
In case you missed my introduction: I was an avid G1 (and then some G3) collector in my teens and early 20s. I sold them all years ago. Now that I have a daughter, I knew she'd love them. So I set out to find my favorites again, within reason. Here's my daughter's first pony!

Thanks to nemubones for the trade! Sugar Apple before:

Customs / Hair for Beginners?
« on: August 15, 2015, 04:57:37 PM »
I've never made a custom before, so I apologize if this question is old hat.

I've got some young friends who are into G4. I'm going to throw a customizing party for them. I'm assuming the ponies will probably turn out pretty terribly, so I don't want to spend an arm and a leg on materials.

I know dollyhair.com is the most popular. But pricing it out, is it safe to assume it'd cost about $5 per pony? Is there a source for hair that's a bit cheaper, but maybe not the best quality?

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Pony Corral / G1 Infant-Toddler PJs at H&M *PIC*
« on: August 15, 2015, 12:35:38 PM »
Had to share this! I found these PJs at H&M. I'm just now introducing my toddler to MLP, because I enjoyed them so much. As soon as she saw them she was yelling "pony! pony!" They have size 1mo through 2yrs. However, their baby clothes run very large. I would say the 18-24mo could fit a 3 or 4 year old.

One has Lickety Split and Starshine. The other has smaller Lickety Splity, Starshine, and Peachy.

Pony Corral / The Underrated Ponies Appreciation Thread!
« on: August 07, 2015, 08:09:14 AM »
Post pictures of your (or other people's, but be sure to give credit) underrated ponies. Those ponies that aren't sought-after, or at least not for their looks, but you think something about them is awesome.

I'll start.

Dibbles! Something about that shade of peachy orange is too cute.

Baby Sea Ponies. The first time around collecting, I didn't own a single Sea Pony. Now I think they're just great.

Introductions / Back after 8 years!
« on: August 02, 2015, 12:49:47 PM »
Where to begin! I used to post here (and MLPTP) years ago as BabyTwilight. I'm not sure if any of the same people still use this board, but a big "hello" to anybody who remembers me!

I collected G1 MLP as a teenager and young adult. I stopped collecting shortly after G3s made their appearance. Gradually I sold off my collection.

The combination of having a very young daughter now, and having worked with kids, I've become nostalgic for MLP again. I'm starting to remember all of my favorites and missing them a bit. I'm hoping to find them again, to treasure and pass on to my daughter when she's old enough to be trusted. Haha. Just browsing around, it seems like prices have gone way up since I've left.

I am curious, though: How do you guys find the community now - with bronies and the G4 craze? The kids that I know are obsessed with G4, the show, and "original characters." They have zero interest in G1 or MLP figures. Do you guys end up converting them? Are there original G1 collectors enjoying the new show? What are the MLP fairs like now?
