December 21st brings us Argyle Starshine (I know Argyle is a stallion in the film; but these are G4.5 molds and Hasbro wasn't about to give us a new stallion mold for what may be the final use of these 'old' molds... though they could've retooled Cha Cha and the pets to remove the unicorn horns pretty easily):

Pony Corral / G4 Blind Bag Help?

Blind bags have been rather hit or miss in my area, and I'm positive there are releases that never showed up in stores around here. I was wondering what stores received the following waves:

#19
#20 (have found some of these at Walmart & Target, but still missing a few)
#21
#23

I found waves #22 (Family Dollar) and #24 (Target) with no problems. Some of these are old releases, but I've found wave #20 in the last month so I'm holding out hope for the rest.

I'm also really hoping these aren't being replaced by Cutie Mark Crew...

Pony Corral / MLP In National Geographic

In the latest issue, MLP makes two appearances. It's a special issue focused on genders, and the first pony to appear is in the completely pink room of a young girl. Then there's a full page picture a bit further in. One of the teens they interviewed was posing on a bed with a herd of ponies.

I never expected to see My Little Pony (or Care Bears or Hello Kitty for that matter) in National Geographic.

I couldn't find a larger resolution image, so I know it's kind of tiny. Any guesses as to who? Looks like a G3 (Seaspray? Shenanigans?) to me. Might also be a G4 blind bag (but with normal sized eyes)?

Pony Corral / Wave Two Blind Bag Picture Request

The wave I'm referring to is the wave that was not released in the USA.

Does anyone have (or can anyone take) a high resolution picture of the actual bag itself? A friend in Australia has just volunteered to go looking for these for me and I'd like to give her as much help as I can.

Also, is this wave a two digit number or the five digit (with the second and fourth being the keys)?

You seem like a very friendly group and I'm happy to be here.

I'm pretty shy so expect me to be more of a lurker until I get to know you all better.

I'm a relatively new collector. So far I'm focused exclusively on G4 but I plan on expanding into G3 in the near future. My collection is currently comprised of brushables and blind bags. I have some specific collecting parameters:

G4 brushables (non-gimmick- so none that light up, raised symbols, Glimmer Wings, etc. just the basic brushables). So far I think I have every one except Lily Blossom (kicking myself for passing on her when I saw her at K-Mart last year) and Daisy Dreams. At the time I was only picking up certain ponies... but then I found myself filling in the gaps in my herd one at a time (nothing new was coming out, I was getting frustrated not finding Diamond Rose... and somehow other ponies kept going home with me one at a time) and suddenly I realized the only ones missing from my collection were Lily Blossom and the non-USA releases. That's when I decided to just become a G4 brushable completist since I was pretty much already there anywhere.

I still haven't found any of the latest releases that are just hitting but I'm keeping my eyes peeled. It would help tremendously if I had a Target or a Toys R Us locally. The nearest ones are all 45 minutes away so I don't get out to any of them as frequently as I'd like to.

Blind bags- I really wasn't going to get these (to me it really isn't a MLP unless it has brushable hair) but I like the fact that there's a larger selection of characters available than there are in the brushables. Plus they had Minty and the brushables don't and I admit, I really like Minty (keeping my fingers crossed they do eventually release her as a brushable). So far I only have wave 1 and the first Toys R Us exclusive set.
