Hi all!

EDIT2: After washing and cleaning the bunch of fleamarket ponies from my aunt, I also discovered that the Moonstone actually was an Italian :lookround: She is super pretty - although she has three small pink highlighter dots and some small pen marks. I’ve tried to look around for prices on her, but haven’t seen much. I found two in excellent condition for around 30-40$, but not sure if that is what they usually go for? Anyone knows?

EDIT: Yesterday I took some pictures of my two new ponies- they are really something!

My aunt bought a bunch of ponies at a fleamarket, including NSS Truly and Alt.Birthflower Poppy (August). They are both in really good condition. No flaws that I can see

Anyone knows what they are currently going for? I did see a Truly on ebay, and she was priced really high. Not sure if I can trust that to be her current price tag :P

She also picked up Euro NSS Buttons and NBBE baby Buttons. They are not exactly Nirvana, but if anyone have any idea about priced I would be grateful for input on those as well ^.^

Thanks!

Pony Corral / Calling all MLP cleaning experts for help on Gypsy
« on: August 01, 2016, 07:35:06 AM »
Hi all cleaning experts,

I have a Gypsy who has unfortuntately received some marks after she entered my care. I never ever had any pony since childhood who I actually managed to give markings I could not remove, and it makes me supersad to think that this happened in my care

I have tried magic eraser (intensively), but even though the markings faded a little bit - it did not help much. I tried acetone as well, very careful - but since she is a Gypsy I feel that the acetone is bleaching her orange color more than the actual markings so I don't want to use that (and it did not help at all on the tiny spot I tried it on... >_<)

So, now I am at a loss! Is there any way to remove this that I have not yet tried - or is this pretty girl doomed to live with these markings from now on?

Pony Corral / Your Most Unexpected Favorite Pony
« on: July 15, 2016, 08:52:11 AM »
We all have our favorites - but I am sure some of them you never expected to be your favorite! I would like to know; who are your most unexpected favorites - the ponies you didn't really look at before, but now you would never part with in a million years? And why do you think they suddenly (or not so suddenly :P) won you over?

Here is my two;

Morning Glory - my least fav flutter, but after getting this girl super cheap - she just suddenly melted my heart when I cleaned her up. I think it is because she is my most successful clean-up - she looked terribly when I got her and now she is just shining

Morning Glory

The second is Baby CJ - I bought her at a whim, not even sure why because Cherries Jubilee was never really a pony that I wanted when I was growing up. But then very slowly she grew on me (it was the green eyes - I tell you, the green-eyed ones are super convincing!). Too late though, I realized how much I liked her and sold her to a new happy home. But I still miss her

Pony Brag Arena / Tiny Collection Brag (G1)

Ok, so this is not much and nothing new has come in the mail either - but I FINALLY were able to take a full collection picture of my ponies *squeel*. It is not big, and has been stable like this for the last 10ish years, but they mean the world to be as most of them are childhood ponies <3 The only one who is not connected to my childhood in any way is actually Jenny, but she is adorable and perfect

The Dollhouse / Question on Re-generation Pullips
« on: July 14, 2016, 03:22:15 AM »
Hi all,
So I have not been keeping up with the pullips releases since probably 2010  BUT - looking at Pullipstyle this morning I did see that they re-released some of the older generations a while back. I can't really say from the pictures on Pullipstyle - but what is the pullip collectors opinion on these dolls?

Are they worth looking at compared to the older versions?

I did try to do a forum search, but didn't find any specific threads on this, so please forgive me if I'm digging up a topic discussed years ago

Price Check Archives / PC: Baby Cherries Jubilee
« on: August 15, 2015, 01:58:19 PM »
It's been a while since I was actively pony hunting, and when looking through the PC archives here I found Baby CJs price checks to be between 25$ and 50$ during the last three years. Not really sure if she is the kind of pony that is changing price often, but since I did think that was quite a big difference  I thought I should ask for her current going price :)

Any help is much appreciated! :)

Hi all you puffy sticker experts!
I have seen some puffy stickers for newborn twins, but they don't come up that often which made me wonder... Which releases of the newborn twins came with puffy stickers? Did all?

I especially wonder about the UK version of Sticky and Sniffles (then named Tuggles and Toddles). Have anyone ever seen a Tuggles and Toddles puffy sticker?

Thanks in advance everyone!

Pony Corral / Way overpriced ponies on ebay?
« on: July 03, 2013, 05:05:25 AM »
So I was doing my weekly ebay surfing for ponies :P and when I was doing my search for baby Posey I found a lovely mint *incredibly* pink haired Posey as well. She is GORGEOUS! But then I saw the asking price and I literally almost...  :ack: Her asking price was way more than I ever seen for a Posey - ever! She looked like the regular release NSS Posey and I couldn't find anything in the auction text that she was a nirvana either (they even included her hoof markings and it sounds to me like she really is the standard US NSS release Posey... just with super pretty pink hair).

Looking at the other auctions it seems like it is just not Posey that is a "tad" overpriced, but almost all their ponies that I am familiar with is very overpriced.... And I'm thinking that the others are as well. It seems like the person selling is a family member of the person actually owning the ponies and my first thought was to perhaps let them now that they might have difficulty selling their ponies to these prices... But then I thought that might be rude? So my question is - should I let them know? Or just move on and forget about it? I wouldn't even think about if the prices weren't so much higher than what is thought of as their going prices. It's not like it's only 10$ or even 20$ more than "normal" prices in most cases. It is more close to 50$-100$ more in many of the auctions  In some of them even more than that as well...

What would you have done in situations like these?

MLP Nirvana / Unicorn Bowtie?
« on: July 02, 2013, 07:08:22 AM »
So I have a question on Bowtie's - I know there are a lot of adorable variants of her, but I just skimmed through some pictures and noticed a unicorn version of her? Is she real? Because she looked absolutely stunning! Anyone have any insight to who she is? (and I'm guessing many of you do! ) I tried to do a search for her, but I guess the search function isn't very kind to me today... -_-

Also, I would love to see some pictures if you have any, and while we are at Bowtie's - how about some adorable baby Bowtie pictures as well  :lookround: Especially of little cute Peruvian baby Bowtie!

MLP Nirvana / PC on Argie North Star
« on: June 30, 2013, 06:18:40 AM »
Sooo, I have found a nirvana grail. I don't really have that many grails - and even fewer that I will actually ever get. But today I saw an Argie that I thought was perhaps one of the most beautiful rainbow ponies ever... So of course she happened to jump to the top of my wanted list :lookround:

And yes, that is Argie North Star (or South Star? I've seen some refer to her as that as well - probably because of her symbol North/South reverse?).

I just wanted to check out here what I can expect to be paying for one? I'm thinking around 100$ from some of the research I've done, but not sure if that is correct? And also, how rare is she? Does she come up for sale every now and then or is she more of an oddity?

Sorry for all the Q's, but I'm not really a Nirvana expert.... at all

Thanks for all the help, everyone!

MLP Nirvana / Can anyone show me.... GREEK ponywear!
« on: June 29, 2013, 05:55:47 AM »
So, I am quite the accessory nut and I have kept most of my ponywear from childhood. My favorite up to now has been Megan and Sundance wear and baby pony wear (because I love all things baby pony...). But lately I've been snooping around some Greek Ponywear auctions and they look adorable, and to be honest: Just like my cup of ponywear!

I would love to see if you all have some pictures (especially on ponies!)!

Oh, and mods - if this should go in the Nirvana forum instead, feel free to move it. I wasn't exactly sure where to put it....

[moving to Nirvana ~ many thanks ~ hathorcat]

Off Topic / So, I'm writing on an MLP story...
« on: June 28, 2013, 05:37:27 AM »
Not sure where to post this, but would love some input to where or if I can post some excerpts from my MLP story somewhere  :read:

I am writing on an MLP storyline - very closely connected, but not quite the same as the Hasbro stories. I mean it is Dream Valley and Dream Castle and so on and so on, but the ponies have different personalites and the storyline are not necessarily so .... happy and rainbow-y?

I think it would be safe to call it fanfic  Anyway, I was wondering if you guys knew if there was a place you could post fanfic? I couldn't find a place here at the arena (which is probably not that strange since it is a forum...) and I really don't know anything about other places for MLP folks. Also, my stories are about the early G1s, so nothing FiM here!

Pony Corral / How to make pony hair do what you want?
« on: June 26, 2013, 08:15:19 AM »
So I have two babies with hair that is not being how I want it to be - in other words, it is behaving badly >_<

I always was a fan of pony hair that was neatly following the pony's neck - but as you can see from the pictures Baby Glory and Baby Cuddles (especially the latter...) has manes that are insisting on sticking out behind them. These are both childhoods and I have tried to do my best, both as a child and as a grown-up to make their manes more well-behaved. All my attempts - with boiling water and long hours drying their manes in the "right" direction has led to absolutely no change what so ever... I've managed to successfully curl and re-curl all my ponies with curly hair, but for some reason these two have decided to stay impossible...  -_-

I have found many tutorials on curling pony hair, but what to do when you want no curls, but just making pony hair do what you want? In the direction you want it? I would love any tips you guys have. The only thing I haven't tried yet is putting something like hair spray or similiar substances in their hair, and that is something I'm not really excited about either... :lookround:
