Trader & Shipping Support / lipin2012 on ebay - just a caution
« on: October 05, 2013, 07:01:17 PM »
I brought a lot of 6 "tinsel haired" ponies from this seller, located in hong kong.

They have been good to deal with, don't get me wrong, but just a comedy of errors!

Firstly, my parcel "bounced back" to them, as they wrote the address wrong on the parcel (instead of writing the suburb then state, they wrote it the other way around - eg. instead of "Newcastle, New South Wales" it was written "New South Wales, Newcastle".

Anyhow, on friday, my parcel finally arrived, two ponies short of the 6 :( so I have messaged them, and sent photos to their email address which they requested ever so politely. I explained I am just after what I paid for, nothing more.

They have been good to deal with with great communication, but it is just proving a very drawn out, hard transaction.

I sent them a message tonight to let them know I have only 4 days to open a case, which I will be doing, not to recover any funds, but simply for insurance that I will receive the other two ponies (the two I most wanted out of the main six of course lol - pinkie and dash).

Off Topic / Gender stereotypes
« on: July 20, 2013, 08:09:33 PM »
I don't think in this day and age we really have much of a need for them any longer.

I wanted to share with you all I was at the video shop last night with my dad, and there was a young boy, probably around eight years old with his mum. He was looking through the new releases and picked out a Barbie movie, I thought to myself "it's going to be on in a minute". Well mum said to the little fella "you really liked the other one of these so we will hire this one for you" really warmed my heart to see a mother not caring what others around her thought of what her son wanted to watch. I really love seeing typical gender walls broken down, especially when it comes to children.

What are your thoughts on this sort of thing? I personally hate it when adults try to force children into typical "girls play with dolls and like pink, boys play with cars and like blue" type crap.

Off Topic / 3 weeks to go :D
« on: April 27, 2013, 10:22:01 PM »
Till I am finally Diploma qualified :D I have already passed off all my theory modules, just have one prac module to go.

I can't wait to finish up, it's been such a long haul, a lot of work, late nights / early mornings, and trying to look for work in between 40 hour weeks, which involve a tonne of paperwork, planning, making resources by hand (mainly due to being broke).

It will be nice to finally have a life back ^^

Off Topic / Cleaning tips?
« on: January 20, 2013, 04:28:25 PM »
I know this has probably been asked millions of times before, and I apologise in advance. However, I have a plushie and a pony that I picked up over the weekend from a garage sale, that have been in storage for a very long time. They REEK of moth balls, like seriously, its discusting. Overall they are in really good shape apart from the stench.

My question is, has anyone out there had this problem before? And if so, could you fix it? How?

I have washed everything well and put them in zip lock bags with bi carb soda (not touching the soda of course) is there anything else I can do for them? And have any of you used this method and has it worked?

Sorry for all the questions, I am just unsure if this will actually work or not, and I think the stench is too heavy to just "air them out".

Are there any other methods I can use if this doesn't work?

Thankyou anyone that has any information for me :)

bestof7172 is one to put in your block list. She won 9 seperate lots from me on the 20th & 21st of Dec, asked if she could pay on the 2nd. No worries.

Got a message from her on the 2nd of Jan saying she was going to pay that night or early the following morning. Nothing.

Sent her a message asking for her to pay or contact me, nothing.

Opened a case on the 4th, again contacting her to let her know if she contacted me I would hold off closing the case if she needed an extra day or two, again, nothing.

Closed the case on the 8th. Recieved a message asking me "why did you close the case? I told you I was going to pay tonight" umm, no, I never recieved anything after the message on the second.

It's amazing how suddenly people can contact you AFTER a case has been closed.

I would steer clear, time waster, she won 9 lots in total, all at good prices, had super cheap postage and still couldn't finalise the transaction.

I am sorry if you are a member on this site, but I really am sick of non paying bidders, they waste my time, which I don't have much of, and also my money for fees, which I also don't have much of, otherwise I certainly wouldn't be bothered with ebay.

twilight8311 purchased a lot with a buy it now option on the 18th of December from me. She asked if it was ok to pay on the 24th, a little bit late, but I gave the benefit of the dbout.

With the holidays, I didn't have the time to check until the 30th, no payment, no message. So I sent them a pm asking for them to make payment.
Received a message back saying they went to pay but eBay wouldn't let them because the shipping method was wrong. Ok, it all looked fine from my end, but to humour them I did another invoice, changing nothing.

I receive a message tonight, late, saying they want to pay on the 11th.

I did dig my heels in and said I now require immediate payment. I understand we all have reasons, but, why could someone pay a day or so ago, but wants to hold off over a week the following day? Its all a but fishy for me.

I wanted to warn others, this buyer seems like a problem, and with a rating of 8, they have already stuffed another seller around, and managed to purchase AND pay for items AFTER winning my auction.

Seems like a time waster to me. Will update if they do (finally) pay.

I just wanted to show off my awesome gift from my lovely adopted nieces & nephews (they are my friends kids, as I don't have any of my own, I adopted them as mine) they all got together with their mums and brought me this lovely lady -

She's HUGE, not your stock standard sized pillow pet, like, 4x the size of a regular one. I just love it to pieces ^^

And lastly, my other little niece picked this cutie up for me :D

Off Topic / So happy! Finished up for the year, and have awesome results :D
« on: December 11, 2012, 10:43:01 PM »
I have been studying towoards my Dimploma in Childrens Services for the last 18 months, I have one more term until I am finished up.

Anyhow, I got my results in for the last lot of 5 assignments today, I got another HD for the subject, that is all HD's so far, and managed to get perfect scores for 3 out of the 5 assignments that I just got in. Perfect scores don't happen as a rule, as the marking teacher usually finds somewhere to drop a mark here or there, so I was absolutley shocked with the result.

Just wanted to share, just so glad to have it all done and dusted for 2012! The last month has been hectic, alot of late nights (4am bedtimes some mornings) and early starts (had to be at placement by 7am some mornings, latest 8am) and absolutely no life. Hard work and determination has paid off though :D

I don't know what is happening, I brought and paid for an item from Hong Kong a little over 3 weeks ago. No problems, its an overseas order, so I expect it to take a while.

Today I notice this on my ebay purchased page -

"This listing was removed by eBay. If you already paid for the item, we recommend that you wait 10 days from the expected delivery date to see if the item arrives. If you did not pay, you are no longer obligated to pay for this item. If you have a problem with the purchase, you can resolve the problem by filing a claim through our resolution centre."

I have never come across this before. I have opened up a paypal case, just to be safe, but have not escalated it to a claim. I have also messaged the seller letting them know the reason why I have done this, not to scam them out of money, just I am worried that I am going to have no item + be out of cash for it.

Of course, if it arrives I will immediately shut the case. Has anyone else ever had this issue before?

I am not really worried about the money, I just really want this item, it's something I have been thinking about buying for some time and don't want to be dissapointed if it never actually arrives.

I can't post up a link, because the listing has been pulled, and at this point I prefer not to post the seller's unsername anyhow, as they may be perfectly legit, and I don't wish to give them a bad name over a misunderstanding.

I'm getting bored with my stuff, and am after getting my hands on some other stuff. I really love anything that has alot of bass to it, or fast beats, I will listen to just about anything, but the sort of stuff you would hear in a nightclub is generally my taste in music lol.

Anyone got any artists / songs they think are great that I could look in to?

Hi all,

I am really interested in an item on ebay, but can't bid due to being in Australia. The seller has said they would ship it to Aus, but I decided to come here and ask just in case I get stuck not being able to pop a bid on it. It has about 9 days to go, so its no hurry to find someone, I just really would like the opportunity to actually own this guy.

I can paypal over the cash as soon as the auction closes for postage, the item + shipping to Australia.

Any help is much appreciated :) would prefer someone with some feedback that I can view somewhere (not being picky, I just prefer to deal with a middle man that I know will be reliable) and willing to give you something in return for the help (cash or something else that you may be interested in)

Let me know if you think you could help and I will message you with details!

Pony Brag Arena / (kinda) pony brag - it is a unicorn after all :D
« on: October 16, 2012, 08:41:29 PM »
I have been working my hooves off to get my partial fursuit finished, of course it is my own persona, Neon. I finally completed it last night (the hooves were the last addition) in time for tafe today. Head, hands, feet & tail (can't see it too well, but its a traditional unicorn tail like a lion's with a tuft at the end) I am so happy with how it turned out, the head is my second attempt, so its not perfect, but I am overall happy with it. On to pic :D this one was taken walking through a job expo they had in the gym. I got a free pen for dancing :D

Trader & Shipping Support / Rude ebay customer - kittylouise50
« on: September 15, 2012, 01:02:20 AM »
I am not worried about this one, but have added her to my block bidder's list for her attitude, I don't have the time or patience for people like this.

I sold a care bear item to her, she paid through paypal on monday, in all my auctions it states that I can't post until the money has cleared into my bank account, and today, after I marked it as "posted" I recieved this message -

HI, I PAID FOR THIS ITEM VIA PAY-PAL ON THE 10TH, -LAST MONDAY, AND MY GRAND-DAUGHTER HAS BEEN WAITING FOR IT TO ARRIVE ALL WEEK, THEN I GET A NOTICE TODAY, THAT IT WAS NOT POSTED UNTIL TODAY !!!!!WHY DID IT TAKE YOU SO LONG TO POST THIS ITEM ??? NOT TOO HAPPY ABOUT THIS . KH

- kittylouise50

I totally understand she may not have read my terms, or understood the reason it was posted later in the week, and sent back a pleasant reply explaining this to her, but seriously I just think that was quiet rude, and I can't stand all caps, its not only hard to read, but most people know it's just rude to do it.

Just thought I would pre - warn others about her behaviour, if she would have sent a message asking why it had not been sent earlier using the shift key, without all the exclamation marks etc I would not have batted an eyelid, people like this should not be allowed on the net as far as I am concerned.

As I said, I totally understand a customer asking me why the item was posted off as late as it was, I would have explained, as my listings state, paypal takes 3 - 5 days to clear into my account, I got the item off the day after payment, I really can't do much better than that.

Trader & Shipping Support / kerry483 - do not deal.
« on: September 11, 2012, 05:17:01 AM »
I am simply putting this out there to warn others not to deal with this member.

She participated in a swap I hosted over 5 months ago, and her partner never received her parcel. She was in contact on and off up until about a month ago, when I set a deadline and said enough us enough, and told her that she needed to get her box out she stopped replying to my pms (they have been read) as well as those of her partner and also mods.

I think it may have just got too hard for her, but I would not like to see any other members get stung by this member because I didn't speak up.
