Please help me decide what prices to ask for these.
I haven't sold anything here in a long time and I'm not up to date with prices. I have looked at ended auctions on ebay now and searched the price check archive here to get an idea.

Sunburst comes with his comb. He does have a few of the faint brown discolourations he is known for.
Would it be ok to ask $90 ?

Fireball has one neon pink spot under his tummy. Some tiny marks under his hooves.
$50-ish ?

Splash comes with her float.
Ponies in their typical condition, stripe does not change colour. Float has paint rub, no cracks.
These were hard to find prices for, there is nothing in the archive here, just a Splosh for $70.
Only a couple of ebay auctions and the prices seem crazy high. When did they jump in value? Or is it the season? A Splash with float ended at £250 recently. A Splish at £62.

Pony Corral / Which G3s have turning heads?
« on: May 02, 2015, 03:58:19 AM »
Is there a complete list somewhere?

I can not seem to find the information anywhere! The mlp wiki mentions it for some ponies but not for all of them. The re-releases encyclopedia does have some information but not all G3s are on there obviously, just the ones that were re-released at some point.
I searched here at the arena as well and I only found one thread that is pretty much a poll to see which type of heads people prefer.

I know hasbro started it somewhere around 2006/2007. I have some ponies from around that time with turning heads.
I don't think it happened before 2006 (but correct me if I'm wrong). And I don't think they made it with all G3s from 2007 and onwards, but they did it with many of them.

If you look at for example the wysteria pose on mlp wiki you can see that not all of them have their heads at the same angle, it seems some of them have turning heads. But it's very hard to see in the pictures of course.

Is there any G3 site that might have this information?

Trader & Shipping Support / Buying help from the UK?
« on: July 04, 2014, 04:19:02 AM »
Looking for someone to help me bid on a UK auction (toy but not pony).
I asked the seller if they would post to me in Sweden but they didn't reply so I guess that is a no.
I can paypal you or trade if I have something you want.
If you can help please pm me asap or post here.

pretty please? :bunny:

If you look at her profile and below her avatar in her posts it says:
Prohibited from Transactions on the Arena.
No swap participation permitted.

I was confused to see this, not expected at all. I had no idea and found out just now in this thread in the swap forum:
http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,338518.0.html

I searched Trader Support but there is nothing serious about her in here..? At least nothing recent. She was in a swap earlier this year. And she has good feedback on here.

I personally had a problem with this member, trading wise so to speak - she was on my 'not to deal with' list. But everyone else just seemed to think she was great. I saw her selling and participating in swaps on here all the time..

So what happened?

MLP Nirvana / alt alt birthflower ponies?
« on: April 10, 2013, 03:52:10 PM »
Is there more than one?

I only knew of the december one, with symbol colors reversed (pink leaves and green berries --> green leaves and pink berries)
But recently there was a june pony sold on tradera which had a red rose in her symbol. I don't think I have seen that before, the rose is usually pink, isn't it? (This was not a custom and it was sold by a non collector.)

So, is this an official alt alt version? And if so are there even more alt alts I don't know of?

I want to find out what is out there so I can go for the better version in the cases where there is more than one option...  :)

There is a toy auction I wanted to bid on but it's Germany only. I emailed and asked the seller if I could bid but they didn't reply so I guess not.
If you are willing to bid and forward the item to me, I will pay for everything of course and add for your help (paypal or bank transfer). It's for sylvanian/calico critter type figures.
If you feel up to it, please pm me asap, the auction ends tomorrow... ;)
Sorry for asking with such short notice, I have been waiting and really hoping for the seller to get back to me.

*update* - the seller got back to me after all so help no longer needed  ;)
Thanks to the member who pm:ed me

Good news!

This case is about a Star Wars Lego collector. But I think the outcome means we (MLP collectors) will have a good chance to claim and be reimbursed too if the customs open a mib pony.

link (all in swedish, I haven't found anything about this available in english yet...):

http://hallandsposten.se/nyheter/halmstad/1.1901622-legosamlare-far-ratt-mot-tullverket

What it says:

In September 2012 the swedish customs opened a package, for legitimate reasons, but this caused the mib item inside to be slit open. Item was a htf collectible Star Wars lego ship.
The buyer, from Halmstad, claimed the value came down from 1 838 SEK to about 1 000 SEK.
The customs have now agreed to reimburse him with the difference, 838 SEK (about $130 USD).

There is a reference to a specific part of swedish law as well, I'm not sure how to translate it though...

Swe people, bookmark the article :) so you know what/how to claim successfully if it happens to you.

Trader & Shipping Support / German help? (translation) New question
« on: October 21, 2012, 01:06:51 PM »
New question:

I'm looking at an auction description and it says:

Weihnachtsbaumkugeln aus Glas
Diese sind gebaucht aber der Lack ist noch lange nicht ab .

I understand some german after all so I realize it should be "gebraucht".
But what is the part about the "Lack" (paint)? They have been newly repainted..? The paint is chipping off..?
I tried it in Bing Translator as well but it came out meaningless.

.........................................
I'm looking at vintage christmas ornaments, baubles, on german ebay.
Many sellers just add a picture to their auction but they don't say anything about the size of the item. And it's hard to make out from the picture, they could be tiny baubles or giant ones.
So, if I want to contact a seller and ask, how do I put it, politely, in german?
Had it been in english I would say "what size/diameter are these, please?" I guess.

...welche Durchmesser...?

Trader & Shipping Support / Swedish people - shipping from Swe to the US?
« on: September 27, 2012, 03:09:11 AM »
It has been a while since I shipped anything out of country so I'm not up to date with what's available.
I had heared something about a new trackable option now being available (trackable rek), which would have been great for this, but it turned out it's only available to certain countries and the US is not one of them!

Checking out Postens website it seems the only actually trackable option is the EMS? (international express mail). Which is very expensive I assume (at least it used to be)

Is there really no better (safer) option than the standard old REK?

I can not find anything about insurance either... is it not available at all for international mail?

Advice very much appriciated :)

The Dollhouse / I don't know first thing about MH - beginners questions
« on: September 18, 2012, 04:27:02 AM »
I don't collect these but I decided I still want one or two of them.  :)
I want a blue doll (Abbey Abominable?) and a green doll (the one based on a plant) but I have no idea about prices or what is currently available and realistic to find.

1. Abbey:
How many different versions are there of her? (as in the doll itself, regardless of what clothing and accessories they come with)
How do they differ? Mold? Hair colors? etc.

2. the plant doll:
Are there more than one version of her too? (if so, how do they differ?)
I know I have seen a green custom doll made from build-a-monster parts. Would it be possible to put together a "plant doll" of your own from parts like that? What would be missing? The hair? Would they be the same mold?

Any input much appriciated  ^.^
I have browsed through the what is available thread a couple of times but it's huge and it's hard for me to even tell the dolls apart. When they are in package it's hard to spot little differences in their hair for example.

30
I'm looking for some of the tube dolls and the doll that came with a hamper (the darker hair one). Also looking for clothing, preferably moc but interested in loose garments too. I could use 1-2 loose stands (tube type).

Do you have anything you may be willing to part with?
