Like the thread states, I finally am the proud owner of this lovely gal!  I purchased her from a wonderful arena member and she just came in the mail today.   :inlove: Prepared to be pic spammed...

Fresh from the mailbox:

What a beauty! Just needed a good scrub down...

Now, for those who have seen it, yes, she does have pink marks down each of her legs.  Here's a better look:

Seems as though some little girl or boy gave her beautiful pink highlighter marks or something else bled the colour onto her at some point in her life.   Now, here is where the advice comes in.  For those of you who are really good at restoring ponies to their former glory, what's going to be the best way to get these marks faded? Is she sunfade-able?

Thank you to all who read this far and if you have any advice for me that would be great! Now excuse me while I go fawn for a while, lol.  :lovey:

Pony Corral / Caramel Crunch and Molases...Re-Curled! (Pics!)
« on: January 18, 2015, 07:11:29 PM »
Hi Pony Peeps!

I recently purchased my first two Candy Cane ponies, and debated on whether or not to touch their hair. They both had the remnants of the original curl (I presumed) but were both a bit frizzy and out of control so after a few days I decided I was going to take the plunge.

I actually remembered to take before pictures this time  ;)

Molases:

Unfortunately Molases' mane ends turned out to be the frizziest I had ever encountered, and even conditioner/fabric softener/soaking overnight/boiling/heating iron couldn't tame them I so admitted defeat and just curled them in to the rest of her hair

Thank you for looking at my curl restore attempt! Watch out Sugar Sweet and Sugar Apple, I'm hunting you two down next!

EDIT: Thanks for the sticky Kiwi!

Hey everyone!

So, it's no secret that the Reverse Gusty has been a favourite of mine for a long time. I had lusted after this girl since seeing a picture of her a long, long time ago.  After joining the forum and learning more and more about the pony world, I finally figured out there was probably never going to be a Reverse Gusty in the wild that I would ever be able to get a hold of (read: afford), so I asked MikeysGrrrl if she would be willing to make one for me.

She was so fantastic and didn't even hesitate to say yes!!! Pam was so awesome to work with, kept me informed of all the hills and valleys with making her, she made my first commissioned pony transaction pretty painless!

So without further ado, (And I'm sorry about the sucky camera) I present:

Thank you so much MikeysGrrrl, I love her!!!!  :lovey: :frolic:

And on the heels of that pony high, my last GnS came in the mail yesterday:

Hey pony peeps!
I have to share this crazy scenario with you guys, I have been talking about it all night that I couldn't wait to get home to tell you all on the forum...
So I'm minding my own business, putting some stock away, when I look down in front of me. In the middle of the floor, 4-Speed (the big brother) is lying down, just chillin'. No word of a lie. I pick him up gingerly and start smoothing down his hair (he was dirty but could be mint after a spa date) when a little girl and her mother come up to me and the girl says "oh that's where I left him".
So to make a long store not as long, I (grudgingly) give him back to her and end up talking to them for a bit. It turns out the mother had cleaned out her mothers garage over the weekend and found her childhood ponies. About 30 of them. I promptly gave her my business card and said if her daughter even gets tired of them, to give me a call.
It was so unbelievable. Would have been my first Big Brother. My co-worker was laughing so hard, she said when I was picking him up I was so excited I was shaking...
If you've made it this far, thanks for reading! I just had to share this crazy event!

Sigs & Site Support / Date Sorting When Searching Posts?
« on: June 22, 2014, 02:12:00 PM »
Hi there,

I am wondering if there is anyway that I can arrange posts that come up after I search something, (ie: Searching for "Tropical Breeze" in the "For Sale" section) from newest to oldest? I get mixed date posts and it's such a let down when I see there were ponies for sale, but back in 2012!

Is it possible to arrange the posts at all? Better yet, have I asked this question before?

Thanks!

Pony Brag Arena / New Additions! (Thanks to RedKimber!)
« on: July 02, 2013, 04:54:38 PM »
I don't want this to be a brag so much as a HUGE shout out to RedKimber, as she is the nicest person I could have accidentally met!
I have now gotten closer to completing a few of my g1 sets thanks to her, and she has already told me there are more where these came from:

We haven't gone to the salon yet, (hence Gustys', Shadys' and Ribbons' funky manes!) but it's coming!!

Thanks again RK! And talk to you soon!

Introductions / Mandatory Introduction!
« on: May 19, 2013, 01:03:30 PM »

How old are you? I am 30 years young.

Where do you live? I am currently located in Manitoba, Canada.

Do you work or attend school? I have been a bookseller for 11 years now, due to never figuring out what I wanted to do with my life. *shakes head*

Who are the important people in your life? I am a momma's girl at heart, my family comes first. I have a husband of 8 years, my fur baby Sasha and a handful of high school friends rounds out the pack.

Ponies:

How long have you been collecting? I started my original collection when I was 3, when I received Gusty as a Christmas present.

Which generations of ponies do you collect? G1 only. And I can barely afford those! :)

What made you want to collect ponies? I just really loved ponies, and wanted to get as many as I could. I played with my ponies up until I was like, 11 years old. Kids were kids back then.

Tell us about your collection! I had a good sized collection from when I was a kid (about 70 ponies or so) then I found a mint Bowtie at the goodwill store about 4 years ago. That re-ignited the spark and I have been perusing garage sales and ebay ever since. I am very realistic in my expectations of what my collection will end up like, so I don't know if I will ever own a Ladybird or a Australian Alternate Birth Flower Pony, or find every accessory ever made, but I am curious to see how far I can get!

Hello Everyone!

Shae
