The not wrapping things in China is such a pain in the butt, right? Used to drive me crazy having to go to the post office and pack boxes in front of them. Especially when we moved away and had these giant boxes of just random stuff we'd accumulated.

I know exactly how you feel. I'm waiting to see how quick my tax return will come in. I'm suppose to be getting $300 or so back and if that happens I'll have more then enough to afford this along with other stuff I'm doing. I could still "technically" afford it either way with my pay schedule, but I always try to really think it through when I sign up for a swap.
So tempted though. I collect a bunch of different things and I have everything filled out and waiting--I just have to be sure it's a green light for me as far as my finances are concerned.

In my opinion, you can't give too much information (well, aside from withholding super personal data, of course), as every detail helps your partner get you the best swap box possible. I need to finish up my list but it is always so hard to make sure I have enough information to give my partner an idea of what I collect without going too far in to sounding like I'm giving a shopping list lol. So I don't like to just rush into things too much.I price shopped before I bought anything. I look up stuff and check around, checked multiple places before I bought them online. I price shopped online as well. I was in town and only a few places carry the stuff my partner asked but the prices were wild. I on lines browsed and checked. I also went through my partners list checking different items wanted ect. I just move fast. I'm used to doing like five swaps at once. I even keep swap clipboards where I list what I buy per person and value. :lol:

The school owners sister OWNS a tea shop and every holiday - I am given a huge box of tea. Tea that I have to haul halfway across the planet when I leave here and it weighs like 10 pounds. They are in elebroatly decorated boxes and each box has like 6 tins of loose tea in it.

yeah, I'm all over the place at the moment. Last year I was in San Diego for about 6 months, New York for one month, Australia for 2 months, and Germany for 3 months. I was even in Canada for a week and back in China for two weeks. But I'll be in England all this year, except for maybe a few short trips to france or italy or something like that if I can swing it.

I spent the night in Qingdao with a co-worker and had to fight with her about not staying in a hotel that cost $10/night (and I was the one paying for the hotel). Luckily for me, most of the cheap hotels do NOT accept foreigners.

I'll ship my box this weekend! I feel so behind and I'm sorry. This is the second swap I've had a small animal crisis come up. Ty my heart rat passed away Sunday and right now I'm holding Zoe while she passed away too. I knew it was coming because I have seven rats now and everyone is over two years, but it's very hard having it happen twice in a short time period with not only my favorite boy but also my sweet little girl. Of course I'll continue to care for my babies, but I'll never have rats again in the future. Too short a period filled with heart ache.
I received my box today. I'll post in the brag soon when I can get myself to open it. Right now I'm just going to hold Zoe.

So I a, guess in what is my swap box has arrived. Today. But according to the red card in my hand it was to big for my letter box. So I now have to wait till Saturday to have it redelivered as they only open till 2pm and open at 7 really would it kill the post office to think about normal people for a change working normal hours.Ugh, I always hate this. Don't they know that people are at work? I mean, they're working... Though last week a Fed-Ex carrier came and left a note on my door WHILE I was at home saying that he was unable to deliver it because he needed a signature. He didn't even wait for me to come to the door! He just assumed that no one was home and left immediately. Uuuuugh.
