I love her... it's so nice to finally own her. Got her from the fair last year and she only has one tiny light rub to one symbol. Pretty close to perfect.
Throwing in a pixel I made to celebrate. :P

This is my Mimic. She was my first ever trade pony from America and she came from a very important trader who I have fond memories of going back a long time. I received her in November 1997, and so she's lived with me now almost 20 years. I traded Gypsy for her, because, back then, that was a pretty even trade.
She is in good shape but has ink on her hoof bases. I don't care, because no other Mimic is ever going to match her in my affection :) I since obtained her brush, ribbon and backcard too.
I have actually found Mimic at a car boot sale here before, which was weird. I don't know how she got here, but she cost £1. I don't know where she lives now though...I sold her on but can't remember where or who to...
Squeeee! Such marvelous Mimics! :)
:frolic:
I can't wait to have one for myself :satisfied:

Wow, love this shot of her, with reference of the golden horse shoes episode!
Well, it is only on the bases of her standing hooves and so you can't see it unless you lift her up. And, honestly, it's evidence she belonged to a child and was loved in a previous life, so I wouldn't want to take it from her. I quite like ponies with names and such on the hooves, because of that. I guess it reminds me of Toy Story ;)I think the same thing, i would keep things like that because it reminds that our ponies are still toys that a child used to love and play with them. For example my masquerade has her tail braided and i'm pretty sure i will keep her like that.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who does this! I got a baby Tiddly Winks with a sloppy braid in her tail secured with a ribbon and I don't have the heart to change it! Some little girl say and learned to braid on that pony! It's precious!!

Thank you so much!! I want to get an upgrade one day if I can. mines lost her pink stripe ;-;
The funny thing about my masquerade is that her owner must have got bored halfway because her braid isn't on all her tail. The beginning is braided but the end is free.I think things like that add personnality to these ponies.Well, it is only on the bases of her standing hooves and so you can't see it unless you lift her up. Her other side has some pink "highlighter" marks but other than that she's so pretty! <3 She was a birthday present to myself.
Yesssss... my birthday present! My precious!

Well about Mimic, for her fading hair i prefer the white stripe instead of pink, i don't know why.For me she looks much better with white, so many ponies have a pink stripe so it makes her even more special.
Here's the one that ended up being less than a dollar in a big lot I scored. Still has her pink stripe. :) (This photo makes it look like her eye has lost it's coating, but it hasn't.)

So many pretty mimics! I love everything about her, her pose, colours and symbol! One day I will own her, but until then I will drool over your guys' :P
I never thought I'd own a Mimic for less than $100, and I was beside myself with joy when I found one at a convention!! The seller only wanted $15, I think, but I gave her all the cash I had on hand, which was $36ish - I still felt like I was getting a steal! :P
I haven't taken a proper photo of her, somehow, but she's very near mint, and I'm only her second owner! I put her in this lovely crystal-shaped case I found at Target, which I thought was pretty neat, and it fits her well!

Oh my~ So many gorgeous Mimics
She's a pony that, when I first started collecting, I had no interest in. But as I keep seeing more and more pics of her, I'm really being sold on this little lovely!

Oh!! pictures we've drawn count?? GOODIE!! I have one! I did it probably ten years ago. I should probably attempt to revisit it someday and do an updated version but back then I considered it my best work!
Oh, excuse the watermark :( I lost the original to a computer crash and the only version I could find was the one on DA with a watermark

I've had several wistful dreams where this scenario has happened. :P
Gorgeous photos, everyone! I certainly wouldn't mind getting this girl after chasing down my high priority ponies.

Here is a group picture of Mimics from a pony meet in Minnesota a few years ago. I do not own a Mimic, but I made a custom of her using a bait Skyflier- she is in the photo, propped up against a rock.

Thats my childhood Minic. I disliked her, a lot. Which means she not only survived my childhood customizing and haircuts but also survived pretty intact. Minor mane and tail cut and symbol is a bit faded on one side but shes much better off then my poor Magic Star (who went on many adventures including water, dirt, mud, grass, magic marker, fabric paint, and scissors). Mimic stayed home.
She did go to another pony collectors pony spa a few years back for some primping though!

You should have seen my reaction upon seeing this picture....I flailed....
This is a Mimic I have in my personal collection (this is when I first picked her up) and I also have another. The second one will be for sale once she's done sun bathing. She has been sitting in a sunny window for the past 3 months, I'm trying to get rid of bright red nail polish that has seeped into her plastic. So far so good as it is slowly fading but it's defiantly taking forever. >_<

Lol, me too...I squealed! Love the custom - she looks great with Skyflier's pose : )
Nail polish remover does make sense but I can see how it could 'bleed' into the plastic and thereby being ineffective.... :(

This is the nail polish covered mimic, it has faded a lot since I stuck her in a window but she still has a way to go.

I've been collecting a long time and only recently got mimic....just couldn't justify her price. She only got more and more expensive as time went by. So I finally bit the bullet and bought one.Well she has reasons to think that. She is just so beautiful.

She *thinks* she is so superior to all the other ponies, all the talk has gone to her head ;)

Lovely pictures everyone (especially the one of the multiple mimics and moc one, wow...that was cool) These topics are making me want to dig mine out, she's been packed away with everyone else for quite a few years. :(, but I miss her so once I manage to find the box she's in I'll post a pic of her here.
Absolutely love seeing everyone's pics of Mimic!
A while back, I made a custom Mimic fashion style pony. Mimic is one of my favorites because:
1. She's a unicorn
2. She's green (my favorite color)
3. The Twinkle Eyed Ponies were probably my all time favorite set
I made her shortly after I acquired my G1 Mimic. I want to replace her eye gems with some actual green gems I've since found that are more fitting. And maybe her eyelashes should be black, too. Oh well, one of my first customs. :P

So here’s my twinkle-eyed gal, fortunately it wasn’t too hard to find her (thought for sure she was in a box out in a storage garage we have but turned out she was in a box in the house!)

Much as I want to go into detail on how I obtained her I’ll spare the details…just because I know some folks would probably hate me, since it wasn’t ebay *lol* Regardless I wouldn’t have her had I not found her how I did and I feel EXTREMELY fortunate, because she is a real gorgeous gem.
Now that she’s out I probably won’t pack her up, unless we move again…in which case I’d make sure she gets unpacked right away!
Oh and really awesome custom, sunshine...normally not a fan of the g4's but I'd totally buy that one.
Here is my Mimic I have had her for awhile. She has a few scuff marks but I could clean them off sometime. visitors can't see pics , please register or login
