Cool!
Is it just me, or does the box makes the ponies look better.
Lol do they really think these are going to sell better than the favorites sets.Weren't the favorites sets notorious shelfwarmers? I remember seeing Nightmare Moon's around for ages. Although there could have been some overordering involved.

If that's the case, I wish they'd send them over here - We haven't had new ponies in a long time.Lol do they really think these are going to sell better than the favorites sets.Weren't the favorites sets notorious shelfwarmers? Still not interested, but maybe if someone sells Rainbow and Flutters on their own I might pick them up :PIf that's the case, I wish they'd send them over here - We haven't had new ponies in a long time.Lol do they really think these are going to sell better than the favorites sets.Weren't the favorites sets notorious shelfwarmers? Now, if this set had been something elegant. And the ponies had been in all black, red, whites and greys I'd totally be into both buying this and calling it gothicPersonally I'm still waiting for russian propaganda poster ponies.

Problem is...UK TRU would double or triple their prices like they did with Pinkie's Boutique so they'd likely shelfwarm here, too =/
The current favourites set is certainly shelf warming in my local stores - £39.99 for 7 ponies may not actually be too expensive [£5-6 per pony] but I think when you compare it to what else can be bought for the same price it suddenly feels pricey for many people.
I see Applejack noped her way out of this set.

Favorites have been 7 ponies , now only 6 :(
hope the price reflects that :)
they could have included AJ and make it 7 ,so mean of them to cut her off again of a set :(
I will get them when they are like half price :) or maybe it will be a pass.
30 or 40 dllrs get me some nice G2s LOL :)
well there is always buying them 2nd hand loose, that is what I did with some of the favorites with DJFavorites have been 7 ponies , now only 6 :(

Oh no- is this really the new favorites set? In the past those had always been primarily made up of new characters. I really hope we get a favorites set with new characters.
On an unrelated note, my 7 yo daughter accused me of never using smileys so here are some smileys she decided we should include:
:yucky: <-- for all the ponies in this set except Celestia which she :lovey: I was really hoping we didn't have to buy these in a set. I don't want to have to buy the set for one pony, so I probably won't end up buying it.
Geez I do wonder how this will be reflected in the show, hmmm.. well in any case, AJ is the only one with sense to not look like that apparently XD

Where's AppleJack?
Jajajajaja. She probably said :"what in darnation is this about"?!Where's AppleJack?
She had enough sense to stay the heck away from this set. ;)

And at the end of the day, everyone learns that you shouldn't let Discord give you a makeover.
eeew... they look a bit like having a really, really, old proffession.:biggrin:    :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

eeew... they look a bit like having a really, really, old proffession. :huh:Very much so! Celestia and Pinkie Pie in particular. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy, on the other hoof, look like professional wrestlers.
I'll pass this time. I love the idea, but it's so cheaply made... those socks are just printed on one side of their legs! They don't 'wrap' all the leg. They would be cuter with removable accesories  :socks:Only Celestia's wraps all the way around because how her legs are posed.. this was the same issue with Zecora's Bangles a while back. I think the reasoning is because the 'printing' just can't reach those sides. (though i think with Zecora it was still somewhat possible to get it to wrap around)
So that's why I stopped collecting G4...

I hear you, one of the main reasons I switched over to the funkos.. this set is beyond awful.

Every time I have found the Funkos they have more massive paint flaws and weird mold issues. So I can't justify paying like $13 for something that messed up...at least the single brushables are cheap.

I understand what you mean some waves QC needed some help, you just had to look through a few to pick a good one, but they have really improved them last couple waves!
Anyways that Celestia vector bothers me it doesn't really look like her, I think it's the hair.

Unless my Hot topic only gets deformed ones...It's not the paint issues its the big bumps I see in the molds. Ans since they only have a few at a time there is not option of searching for a good one.
Ra-Rainbow.... Why are you so angry?

I am willing to pay the extra for some character variety....its exciting to get new ponies besides the mane 6...

I'm curious, can someone give me a rundown of exactly how many more 'characters' the funko line has compared to the hasbro's line? Since I don't keep up with funko stuff I have no clue how many different characters there are.

No, Hasbro is still WAAAY ahead of Funko in regards to different released characters, even if we're just considering the brushable ponies and not the blind bags.
I only collect the brushables and, surprisingly, I have over 50 separate characters that have been released since 2010. Sounds unbelievable, I know! But you can see for yourself here: http://strawberryreef.com/Index/BodyType/fim.html
In comparison, including all the FiM Funko characters that are out now, they number about 14 or so distinct characters. (But to be fair, Hasbro has been releasing FiM toys since 2010, which is several years earlier than Funko has.)

Also there's no garauntee that they're going to continue to do 10 per year just because their first year had 10 characters released. If season 5 is the last year of new episodes for the show, they will probably stop making new characters after that. I don't seem them releasing many new collectables after the show gets done.
5 more years!? No way. There's practically no childrens cartoons out there that has 10+ seasons. Whoever said that is definitely exaggerating.

Season 5 won't be the last season they already said FIM for atleast 5 more years, Funko said at some point the princesses and Rarity will come out (Rarity being this year and possibly the princesses) it really depends on what you want to compare, personally I compare brushables/fashion styles vs funkos because blind bags are basically just a bunch of recolors and they are so tiny they dont feel like ponies to me. So in that sense Funko has Big Mac, Bon Bon, Spitfire, Octavia, Dr. Whooves, all first. There is a brushable Octavia coming out from hasbro, but no sign of the others espically the boys. Funko has a lot of potential to release popular characters in the fandom such as boys we have never seen as brushables like Soarin, Braeburn, Thunderlane and Discord and other neat characters, while I can only see hasbro doing blind bags of those which don't count in my opinion.

potential = if, maybe and soon. My question was simply show me the numbers that exist right now, everything else is personal opinion.
You can say you like Funko better, another can say they like bushables better. But when people say there is more variety of characters I want to see the numbers. Actual numbers are not an opinion or an if or maybe or soon.
Yea I know of course there is no way Funko has more, for a few reasons one they haven't been making them as long and two it takes them a lot longer to make them, since each pony has their own hair/tail/clothes etc. I don't know the exact numbers that hasbro has at this point just the funko numbers.
hasbro is making also the most off of MLP I believe than any other of their products

Pretty sure they make the most off of Transformers, specifically the live-action movies (abominations that they are, they are massive cash cows).

More topical fan art :snicker:
This is some hilarious fan art!Twily and AJ knew better that to get in the " new trend " :) bahahahaha, Poor Queen Chrysalis she did not escaped :)
Applejack must SERIOUSLY be unpopular to not be included in that set. Either that, or she did what the fan art said she did.
