AHH Finally! Thanks so much for posting, I've been dying to see this leaflet- so it looks like Ribbonshy is "Styling Strands" Fluttershy- and comes with gem hair bobs and probably a cute comb with Angel on the top (at least I think that's what I'm seeing here)Awww I knew it , She looks great in her box, I had just caved in a couple of days ago and got her from ebay loose from China for 25.99 !! at least it was not much that I overpaid for her .
Looking forward to that mini set too (except I don't really love the look of AJ or Rarity) the other ones are super cute :D
Interesting that they seem to have nixed AJ playful sized with Rainbowified hair... ahhh- and now that I know her name I've found Target's placeholder for her with better pixs!

Maybe AJ doesn't sell very well? She seems to always be left on the shelf (other than the one with the hat which was HTF for a while) Maybe Hasbro is sensing she's not as marketable?
I will be getting the FS Rarity for sure, but not sure about anything else, I'll have to see it all in person! Very sad about the lack of new brushable characters though :( Don't really want all the gimmicky stuff. Just give me a new character that's NOT a blind bag, Hasbro! :P

Didn't they say a year or so ago that they were going to have the toys reflect the cartoon more? Seems like that didn't commit. I like this concept, but HATE the execution. This would be really cool on new characters. And FS Rarity and Fluttershy look pretty clownish. Oh, also I hate the tinsel hair. But a line of rainbow ponies would be pretty sweet. Too bad.
I think they are still going to make AJ and brushie size Twilicorn since they only showed the first three of the crystal motion ponies even tho we got all six.

Are they meant to come off? They're supposed to be a wing-like dress, right? Do you have a pic?
Judhudson, Dr. Hooves' hair appears to be painted brown first and then the color painted over. I wish he didn't have the rainbow stuff too but he's ok for now. Maybe they will release a non-rainbowfied ver. sometime. They have been sticking ponies from mini figure sets into later blind bag waves recently.
Rainbow Power Applejack and Princess Twilight Sparkle (the little one) will be released ... AJ & Twi. were found on Kmart's site recently though.

I am betting something to do with the box - perhaps a rainbow power is whats contained inside or something similar. The last 3 lines linked into the show and even G3 tended to do this on occasion.
The toys would easily hit shelves and reveal plot lines or surprises before the cartoon. Remember Sunset Shimmer? She was revealed in February at the toy show and no one knew who she was until EQG came along a few months later. A kids cartoon is not quite the same as an adult show - of course they dont want to give the game away but its more important that they have toys matching in some way on shelves when the story line is revealed.

haha i should have specified. im more curious as to why applejack is usually missing from the assortments. and why she hasnt been re released as a fashion style. mostly curiousity honestly :P i hate repeats. but i never did snag a FS applejack... LOL
I was really really hoping/holding out for a FS AJ too. You'd have thought Hasbro would catch on (like Mattel did with skyrocketing original Monster High prices) and do a complete "original favorites" re-release. I was really hoping they would, but that is seeming increasingly less likely...

Yeah, I get that AJ is the least popular. Even amongst the target audience. She's my second favorite out of the Mane Six so I'm really sad that all Mane Six have gotten several FS versions - but AJ is left with only one that din't even get re-released.
I own an incomplete FS AJ and I think I even got a good price for her (30€). I always think about selling her again to get some money I could spend on more important things like winter shoes... but then I look at her sweet face and I'm like: "No, I can't sell her. They will probably never make her again" ^^;
I'm not a fan of the entire rainbow line. It feels cheap to just slap on some rainbow designs and call it a day. Well, at least it's more creative than just giving them diamond shaped eye twinkles.
But I was much more interested in the translucent prototypes we saw on TaoBao. The ones that were thought to be featured in the Crystal Empire line.
I really hope we'll one day see them in stores. There is a reason I was immediatly crazy over the Target exclusive Wysteria, hehe...
One thing I like about the new line: AJ's got green streaks. I think it looks most becoming on her. And Rainbow looks nice with the tinsel. I wonder how hard it's gonna get to style that, though. I might be interested in Twilight since I'm not a fan of the "adult Luna" body (my G4s all have to be the same size).
Edit: Okay, helicopter pilot Pinkie is awesome, too! I want them to make a pony plane. Oh god, please make a crazy pony plane, Hasbro! They already made cars, so why not? :lol:

There are only a few things that I want from this set. The giant Fluttershy, Flutter Cadance, Fashion Style Rarity and the Blind Bag Rarity that comes in the blind bag set. There are probably a few blind bags I want from wave 9, but I haven't seen pictures of the set yet so I can't be sure.The wave 9 is showing up at Target now as well. is nice since Hot Topic is double the price on these BB, There are some repeats on this wave ,like Notewhorthy I already have him , some from this wave will be nice to add as well but not all of them
