Now on Toywiz...they got the preorder up for Thunderlane, Princess Twilight, and Rainbowdash...when is the Mini Pony Set with Chrysalis coming? Is it canceled? :cry:

I've been wondering what happened to the Royal Surprise set too :o I have yet to see it in stores :(

Its in the wave revision of Wave 4 of the mini figure. However, I am still waiting confirmation of who is in the Wave revision - I believe its Famous Friends [again!!!] but I am not sure of the other set. Wave 5 is the new Daring Do/Snips/Thunderlane sets. So they should be out before stores start carrying the Wave 5 sets and once the Wave 4 originals are sold out. They have been found in a few stores and its still at pre order for Wave 5, so I would simply keep an eye out - they may not turn up everywhere [revisions tend to be lighter stocked] but they are being released.

I got the Royal Surprise Set with Chrysalis at Walmart a month ago. They only had 3 there though and I don't think I've seen them anywhere since. I'm sure more will be stocked sometime soon.

I have been searching and searching for this! No luck just the same old stuff every time, I noticed the boxes and boxes of wave 8 blind bags got finally all sold in some store, stocking stuffers is my guess :P I Must have Chrysalis I have been waiting for this set for a long time, it better not be cancelled!

i know how you all feel! im STILL looking for this set. seems all the walmarts, toys r us and targets all only want to carry the famous friends and class of cutie marks set. probably going to have the same problem as the royal wedding set. (i still have yet to find that in stores... :huh:)

I saw this set at Walmart a few months ago. Regret not buying it since i haven't seen it again.

I'm another who's been looking for it without luck. As I understand it, it's something of a rolling stock change, where if stores order more of this assortment it now has some different items in it? I'll keep on trolling the local stores as we just got the Groovin' & Class sets a few weeks ago, but it feels like I've been waiting all year!

Same. I'm taking no chances and ordering the Royal Surprise Set on Ebay

I just saw that set today. My Walmart always has quite a few of them. The one of the three sets that sells out the quickest is the Octavia set, but they seem to keep stocking it. If I had known that the Chrysalis set was hard to find, I would have grabbed the ones I saw.

So far I have spotted 4 of this set in my area- one about a month ago and 3 packs more recently- at 3 different Walmarts- however I bought them all :blush: I need a bunch of the princess mold for a big commission and I like having a million Chrysalis for my royals army~

Yeah, I've been looking for this for months with no luck. I guess I'll have to hit up Walmart more often. I've heard a few people found them at Target but they're few and far between. I'm almost to the point of ebay, yet I've managed to get quite a few of the mini sets on sale so I'd hate to ruin my streak.

This is about as ridiculous as the Funrise Princess plush and how scarce they are.. Stores need to get their act together and supply and demand for cripes sake. I keep looking for this set as well to no avail and I have not seen it at all in my area, but my area seems dead last to get things. >_<

One of the Walmarts near me had these a few weeks back. There were three and thank goodness I grabbed one! I wish I'd snagged all of them, as I've not found it again since. If I see any more I will be picking them up for sure!

The only new sets I see are the Groovin' Hooves set and Pony Lessons sets at my Walmart :huh:

I've only seen the Cake Family set and the Elements of Harmony set, and the latter only once.

I saw one at a Walmart yesterday ,but I did not buy it, it was only one and the paint was wrong on the ponies :(
I also felt that almost 10 dlrls was too much to get it for only Queen Chrysalis, since I already have Twilight and Celestia
maybe next time i will pick it up to sell or trade here

Nope not an exclusive. As mentioned its just a wave revision - so only if wave 4 has sold out will a store then restock and get a wave revision.

Same story here, I have been looking and looking with no luck at all! I really want the Chrysalis :( If someone picks one up I can totally pay you for it.

I stocked 3 of them the other day, I wprk at Walmart. Theycare assorted with the pony lesson and groovin' hooves pack. They sell kind of fast :/ Celestias wings are kind of bent on most of the ones i saw.

I'd really like a set too- I check about once a week in the early AM at Target, and so far no luck. Lots of the babysitting set though- so I'm guessing they will be out in greater numbers eventually...

Ah, so that's how that works! When the hereabouts stores sell out of the Groovin' Hooves/Pony Lessons and order more, Royal Surprise will be with the new batch. Good to know! I was rather confused. :huh:
Also, glad to hear people are beginning to find them! I am more hopeful now that it won't be too long before I see more of them around. :)

As far as I know, these two along with Cloudsdale set were "the 1st wave" of character collections, right? There are a lot of Cloudsdale sets everywhere, but the other two are nowhere to be found, only overpriced on ebay.
If all of them are sold out, it's permanent? Doesn't Hasbro make a resupply for out-of-stock merch?
I feel really bad that I didn't buy them when they were available.

Toy waves can be confusing :) And yes thats exactly how it works. The problem with wave revisions is that stores with low movement on the line will often miss them and skip straight to a new wave because by the time they are out of stock they have missed the revision.

The Royal Wedding and Apple Family sets are really old; that's why you will not see them in stores any more. However the Cloudsdale set got a release in the wave 3 revision which is actually quite recently in stores [only the wave before the Pony Lessons first release]. So that's why you will find that easily enough. The other 2 waves are long passed release [especially the Apple Family which only got released in the first wave].
And no they wont resupply - toys like the MLP line work in waves - so once something is passed unless Hasbro decide to release the item specifically again in a future wave then that's it over unfortunately. Hasbro and many retailers consider some items all the same thing. So the mini figs are all the same to them - their impression of resupplying is simply to stock the next wave [even though thats not necessarily the same ponies] :)

i think sometimes is the distribution is up to the stores to order the items :(
so it is poor if the stores do not require to stock the different releases, so a store has so many blind bags of one type, they might not order more of them until they are gone , because in Target and TRU all of them mostly share the same item # , even some sets like the Baker /Spa/Jewel sets is the same story , I learned this with checking the site on Target and it showed in stock , but when i went there , there was none , I gave the item # to a sales person and the showed me all of them under the same item # and so their stock was correct but not the actual items, I believe is the same with the BB, so many stores might have old stock and never reorder the new "real " items , because of that :(
if they were individual then it would be easy for them to know that it has never even been at the store and needs to be order and stocked.
