I've looked for a thread like this and I haven't had any luck... I thought it would be fun to have a thread that compiles the original names that we've come up with for our CAMs and OCs. I think it's a cool way to share our creativity, and maybe also avoid copying names too? Here are mine:

Awesome idea for a thread! Whenever I'm struggling to think of a name, I search online to see what other people have named their CAMs. More often than not, I can only find one or two named CAMs. It'll be nice to have a sort of repository of names.
I recently listed mine in the CAM Appreciation thread, but I'll post them again here:

I need to take a group shot of my CAMs too. I had been waiting for the bee and three-eyed ghouls I purchased back in March, but they don't look like they're actually going to show up any time soon, if at all, so I'll have to take the photo without them ... :huh:

Haha your recent photoset was actually part of what got me thinking to start this thread! Luna Lycan-Thorpe is one of the best CAM names I've seen. I also love Cate_Dartfinger's Augusta Gloop.

I'm glad you like it. I wasn't all that keen on Luna, but I couldn't think of anything better and I'm a sucker for alliteration. I considered having my blob girl's last name be Gloopington, but again I liked the alliteration of Blobara Ann Blobington better.

I love alliteration too, that's why my vamp Drusilla ended up being Drusilla Dresden, even though Harry Dresden is a wizard. Blobara Ann cracks me up, because my uncle's ex-wife is named Barbara Ann, and her body shape could very easily be described as "blob-like"...

Blobara Ann cracks me up, because my uncle's ex-wife is named Barbara Ann, and her body shape could very easily be described as "blob-like"...
LOL! I was inspired by The Beach Boys' "Barbara Ann". I wanted something 60s-ish to go with her flip hairdo. I've also put her in one of Frankie's frocks and she looks just like a 60s housewife.

I use LPS but i repaint them (especially their eyes) I also use other small animals like Bratz pets, Puppy in my pocket...pretty much any animal I can find in that size range gets set aside for future cams :), Although, I WILL say, I couldn't find a chicken in that size, so I ended up just making one out of sculpy and may eventually do the same for Jinafire's Qilin

Nixie Bominable is An Abbey that needs a rehair. Well it could be any different Abbey and have one be Saskia Squatche. We all have the same name idea for a Sasquatch girl or spell it Sasquia.
RM Clawdeen: Conwenna Wolf (It means exactly that: Wolf or hound)
Ice girl (to come): Isolt Lumi Fryst In Welsh Isolt/Isolde/etc means ruler of ice and in Celtic it is fair lady. Lumi means Snow in Finnish and Estonian, and Fryst is Swedish for Frozen.
SS Ghoulia Lolita Sophia Yelps, Ghoulia's twin.
Werewolf CaM is Celine Lunestia.
Dragon CaM is Ruin Embeth Smolders.

My witch CAM is Minerva Midnight. I'm still working on names for my other CAMs. I've got an OC unicorn (made a custom of her) but she doesn't have a name yet. My other OC is Howlly Timberwolf:

Howlly looks really cool! I lover her top! Timberwolf makes me think of the Taking Back Sunday song "Timberwolves at New Jersey" but to me that's a good thing.

Gorgon and Mummy Girls
Introducing Eurydice 'Dice' Gorgon and Immy Tep. (Eurydice is pronounced yuri-di-chee rather than yuri-dice. She goes by Dice though, pronounced the same way as normal.)

Dice is cousin to Deuce through their mothers (Eurydice is the daughter of Euryale, sister to Medusa). She's immortal, like her mother, and while she may be older than Deuce in years, developmentally she's a couple of years younger than him. Her snakes and eyes are stronger in terms of turning people to stone but she's had a lot of time to learn to control them, so she doesn't need glasses like Deuce.
She's obviously less human (being green and scaly) and really quite awkward about it (she's about 14/15, which doesn't help) which leads to her being quite shy. Despite being envious of her cousin's relatively human appearance they're really quite close. Jinafire has played kind of big-sister to her (girls with scales gotta stick together).
She's also, due to her lack of human ears, deaf. She can feel vibrations through the rest of her body, which is why she never wears shoes, and if the person speaking to her touches her she can hear them pretty well. It's made her a little wary of strangers who don't know or understand that she can't hear the way they do.

Her best friend is Immy Tep. They've been best friends for years, since they're both really quite old in years but the same age developmentally. Immy is growing out of her shyness much quicker than Dice but they are still best friends. Immy's relationship with her father (Imho Tep) has recently soured because he wants her to be a doctor like he was (amongst other things). She wants to be a photographer. Also she dyed her hair purple without his permission.

A transfer student from the north Jackie can come off as a bit of an ice queen and because she seems so cold surprisingly few people get to know her.

mejohnson - Gorgana (like Morgana) is amazing but I think it's a bit too mysterious for her. :biggrin: She's more of a blinged out shopaholic kinda gal.
Refuse to Dance - I really think Gorgiana fits her! So Gorgiana it is!!
I also came up with a name for my Ice Ghoul. I got her white wig in the mail today....pics to come later on......and a name just popped into my head.
Ice is now Drusilla Brrrrington.

I am thinking of calling my SkeleCAM Bonehilda, but I stole that from Sims 3 and plus she's so much prettier than that name. I really just need to sit down and brainstorm all my unnamed ladies.

Hehe yes I did. Jinx is the dark haired gal. She is sweeter than her sister by a long shot. As for my other gals, so far the names I have are:

I instantly thought "The dark haired one should be Jinx."
But I was torn because in my mind Dark = Bad and Light = Good, and the phase "Karma's a B!tch" kept running through my head.
When you said the light haired one WAS the bad one, it all made perfect sense! So glad that phase rings true:)

Morelia Veridis: Gorgon CaM (name is scientific name of Green Tree Python)
Seshat: Mummy CaM (named after Egyptian goddess of writing)
Gena Cryo: Ice girl CaM (name is a play on cryogenic)
Rocky Bernard: Gargoyle boy CaM (named after a player on the defense of the New York Giants)
Vishola Faxon: Sea monster/werewolf CaM (Bionicle references in the name)
I have a werewolf with no ears, she's going to become Lariska Lamborghini, the daughter of the Lamborghini. My logic figures if a gorgon or werewolf can have kids, why not a sports car? Here is the concept art:

I decided on a name for my witch today! Theodora Oswald. Theodora after Mila Kunis's character in "Oz the Great and Powerful," Oswald is a take on Oz and also a reference to Clara Oswald from Doctor Who. Her look will be based on Theodora from "Oz the Great and Powerful," pre-spell... I already have the perfect coat.

Great minds Think Alike Jeapos! Mine is Isolt. It doesn't just mean Ice battle or ruler of Ice, It is Celtic for Fair Lady :3
I am a huge fan of the Tristan and Isolt legend.

I think I'm gonna need a name for a werecat I'm coming up with on the drawing board.
She da kind of werecat that haz ta haz teh cheezburger all deh time, who has a speech impediment that pretty much leaves her speaking "lolcat" all the time. :P which is why she haz to haz teh cheezburger as her favorite food. XD
Heck, I even haz teh cheezburgers here ready for her already as well as other noms for her to enjoys.
