we all have lists of ponies we think are cute and adorable, well let see which ones we think are ugly and not so cute :biggrin: :P

Oh thats a good idea. For me Baby Frosting is very ugly. LOL When it comes to G3, I just have no idea who would be ugly. I felt the line was wonderful.

Don't kill me, but... Moon dancer. Yes, she is my favorite colors. Yes, she has a white body, which is my favorite color for bodies. No, I'm not a big fan of her. I don't know what it is, but her color combo just irks me. I don't really like the brown My Pretty Pony, either. But she doesn't really count, I guess.
I'm also not a fan of So Softs that aren't deflocked, but I don't really like Twist even when she's deflocked. (But she's growing on me.) And since I'm kinda of getting carried away, I'll end my list my saying 2 words: BBE Ponies. *shudders*

My wife calls them crack eye ponies, and I dunno they amuse me a great deal. :lol:
Hmm not sure there is a pony I just hate, but I really really dislike Moondancer's pose. Other than my childhood Moondancer I cringe when seeing ponies in that pose. It just looks so awkward.

First tooth babies. So many babies would have been so adorable if they weren't made first tooth or BBE.

I consider the BBEs the haunted ponies. Some had such nice schemes, and then that head mold!
I really didn't like G3 Merryweather and was bizarrely childish when I got her, but she's grown on me from her time on my shelves. She's an odd colourcombo, but it's a good odd.
And for g4, not really a fan of the particular shade of pink they keep using. I prefer a more cotton candy version.

I don't like those weird princess ponies with the furry eyelashes. They remind me of Groucho Marx!
I've heard of people who just pull the lashes out. I'd be okay with owning one of those. I love the pony bride pose. It's just the eyelashes kill them for me.
(They also kind of make me think of that episode of Spongebob.

LOl Tula, I LOVE Baby Frosting!!
Pink and Orange together. Those ponies I think aren't so pretty. And oddly, two of them are my favorites! Sparkleworks and Sunspot. but I rehaired Sparkleworks, and Sunspot had fading-pink that was nearly white, and i just completed the fading process. LOL I didn't think Cherries Jubilee had the greatest color scheme, either, though I like the pose.

There are lots of ponies I'd never collect, but I'm going to vote for... the Animal Friends. It's like, Hasbro tried to make them cute, but they just came out deformed. Creamsicle and Kingsley freak me out, Oakley looks pretty sad. Then there's Cuteasaurus. Just...wha? (Cha Cha is cute though!)
I also am a wierdo who does not like a lot of babies. I never saw the appeal of animals in diapers as in the Fancy Pants, and the Teeny Tiny newborns are hideous to me. *shrug* Not to mention Gen 3.5 and the Newborn Cuties. *shudder*

The beddy bye Eyes ponies creep me out and.. My apologies to anyone who likes these next ponies but.. I don't like the dance and prance ponies. The handles on their front / chest just makes them look 'eh' to me lol

Oh man, I love Cherry Spices! There are so few brown ponies in the toyline, making her unique, and she pulls it off so well! You go girl! And I swear I'm not just saying that because she reminds me of chocolate! :P
I see what you mean, though, the scheme is so different from the pastel ponies we've grown up loving. I'm kind of impressed Hasbro took that risk, actually, especially since she isn't a character in the show.

Yes, definitely my least favorite blind bag, and it doesn't help that I'm not a fan of the rarity mold. And guess how many I have? 3. >_< I misread the codes a few times.
I love pretty much every single G4 even though the unicorn eyes annoy me. The things I think are ugly are the "posable" canterlot ponies, the newborns, and anything with tinsel. I style every pony I own, and you cannot style tinsel. I have one pony with tinsel (little luna) and she's the only pony I have that I regret buying. I do like the celestia that was in the set though, and my Cherry Pie wears luna's crown, so no big deal.

I actually didn't like Cherry Spices until I grabbed a BB at random (I like to be surprised! :silly: ) and ended up with her. I liked her so much more in person than I did when I first saw her. She's a favorite of mine now.

Same here. :cry: I really wanted Chocolate Delight, and I was about to go out and buy her and everything and I saw that big gaping hole. It makes NO sense IMO.

I know. I've been starting to collect G2s, and some of the otherwise prettiest G2 characters are not attractive, IMO, because of their "Magic Motion" feature. I do have the G1 Brush N' Grow ponies, most from my childhood, but they look ok as long as you put them in a neutral pose.

Agreed why does it need to sip a stupid soda all day its got more pressing issues to do like fly, bake, swim or dance in the clouds or nap in nursery ;)

Exactly. Once the pony is made to 'do' something, the manufacturer is dictating the way the toy 'should' be played with and limiting its use. Not cool!

First off, sorry for picking on one of your favorites. I guess you can't have a thread like this without ending up with a few disagreements. I actually don't mind the fact that she's brown...it's the combination of brown with pink. I keep telling myself she's supposed to be chocolate-covered cherries or something like that and my brain keeps firing back that people eat chocolate covered cherries for their taste, not their aesthetic appeal. I haven't tried eating my Cherry Spices but I have a sinking suspicion she probably doesn't taste like chocolate. Or cherries for that matter. ;) But if Hasbro ever hooks up with Hershey or M&M Mars to do MLP chocolates she should definitely be among the ponies in the lineup.
I'm not really sure what colors would go with brown that would work better. Definitely not red, pink, blue, or purple. White or tan would work but that would make for a very plain pony that probably wouldn't sell well. Definitely a much more realistic pony to the real world though.

It's like an insult to Rarity on this one! A crime against fashion her mold! Than again her mold is already a crime against her mold... ;) Thankfully I only have one Cherry Spices.

Same here! I call them "gimmick ponies" and I have two of them so far. Both of which came bundled with ponies I did want.
And I'll go a step further and say that with the exception of blind bags, I won't pick up a pony with molded hair. I just feel that My Little Ponies should have brushable manes and tails. It's what makes them MLP to me. I give the bling bags a free pass though because of their size and pricepoint.

I ADORE Waterfire and Barnacle and Tuneful! ^.^ But then I also love anything with TAF Button's colour scheme, which lots of people don't!
I don't like BBE babies, but I think baby frosting would be awesome as a NBBE.
I don't like the boys in baby Lucky's pose very much either, boys should have furry hooves. :huh:

I've tried but I just can not think any of the ponies are ugly. I love them all each in their own way. Granted there are some I'm less facinated by and don't care much for getting - yet. But I'm not hating any pony. I just can't.
