Okay so... I don't know where else I can say this and it be appreciated so here goes:
I have LOST one of my favorite ponies.
There is NO way it has left the house - no way anyone has taken it. No way it got up and walked away. AND YET it is not here. I spent the whole night tearing my apartment apart - and I mean - tearing it apart - it's a small apartment. We don't have that much stuff in it. There aren't many nooks or crannies - whatever those are. I am at an utter loss to explain it. And it. is. driving. me. NUTZ.
It was my dead MINT so soft CRUMPET and I loved her so.
I am offering a 100 dollar reward for the capture and hanging of whoever took it, or for anyone who can open the gates to the dimension she fell into. I am inconsolable right now. :cry:
Grrrrrrrrrr I keep pacing back and forth rechecking places I already checked twice. I keep all my ponies on one shelf and they don't just go anywhere. I can't explain it and that part is the most unnerving.
OK rant over. I'm going to go pace some more before I toss and turn all night waking in cold sweats from nightmares of Crumpet lost in the vacuum of space.

I know this feeling. Though not a pony, I spent a little over a full year trying to find something of mine that got lost.
Aside from the thought that your pony has taken a page out of Toy Story and is on some grand adventure, is there anyway that it could have fallen off the back of the shelf and is maybe stuck? Like, hanging from the mane or tail? Or that it may have fallen and bounced under something that you think is fully impossible for it to get under (I can't tell you how many times I've had that happen, lol)
Good luck finding her! I'm sure that, if anything, she'll wander home soon :)

Similar thing happened to my Darkhorse custom Minty ( like, the jewel of my collection!!) anyway she turned up at the back of my closet! I have no idea how she would even get there :yikes:

AHEM-HEM-HEM! I have returned from my Swami Trance(tm)! And I have come to tell you that Crumpet says she would like to come back to her nice warm shelf, as where she is right now is some kind of Magical Chilly Realm of Food. She's all right (she's got supplies to last for months!), but it's pretty cold!
Er, what I'm trying to say is, sleep on it and don't worry about it for a day or two - she will turn up when you least expect it, when you aren't even looking for her! But I'd recommend checking in the fridge, first. ;)

Seriously where do these ponies go when our backs are turned?
Its horrible when a pony goes missing - but I am sure she will turn up - her little vinyl legs cant have carried her too far. Just expect her to randomly appear or find her somewhere she clearly could never have got on her own. I hope she turns up soon.

I hope she turns up. I had this happen to my most treasured childhood book, unfortunately I never did find it, and then we moved, so I've given up hope.

Even I have had a simular situation. I've been on a search for 3 weeks!!!
I lost a just bought and in mint condition TaF Munchy AND Buttons and a very handsome looking Quarterback. They were the finishing touches of my TaF and Big Brother collections.
Somehow... they went to explore the house by themselves!
In the end... I found them in a bag filled with craftingsupplies. :blink: I still don't know how they got there... but I sure danced around with them when I finally found them! :biggrin:

My advice is to look in those places that seem like the most bizarre or highly unlikely places you would normally put her. Think outside the box! Good luck.. I hope you find her!

Do you sleep walk? Maybe you put her somewhere in your sleep. That happened to me once. I woke up the next morning with a Barbie on my floor... even though she was on a shelf clear across the other room! The only conclusion I could come to is that I must have took her off my shelf in my sleep and put her on the floor for some reason. So I would check absolutely everywhere - like even bathroom cabinets. You never know! I do hope you find her *pony hugs*

Do you have any pets? My cat has jumped on my pony shelf before and launched G4s behind my tv. Make sure to check behind your shelf. And in drawers near it. :(I I hope you find her deary.

My first thought was also laundry! It could be that she fell into some sheets or clothes that you then moved somewhere else perhaps?
And I also second the idea of just forgetting about this for a day or two (be sure not to throw anything though) and just return to searching once again. Sometimes our brain works that way that we feel like we´ve already checked some place thoroughly and even if we´re checking again we kinda already dismissed it subconsciously. so take a break, reboot and come back some other day :)

Check under the bed, do you have any pony friends that visit? Maybe one has sticky fingers, check inbetween couch cushiosn too!

I've been on the hunt for my Big Brother Salty for two years now...sigh. I think he might still be at my parents' house somewhere, but we've looked high and low for him. I'm positive I had him, because he was the last Big Brother I needed (other than Tux n Tails). I think I'm just going to have to cave and buy another one of him.. I'm sure he'll pop up then. Ugh.

Baby Pineapple and Pearly Baby Moondancer are hiding in my house. I know they are here but I'm running out of places to look - yet I've been finding things that I haven't seen in years, and years....

When my G4 AJ went missing from her shelf I found her standing up in one of my shoes under my bed! So yeah, they can wander into some strange places...

I had my parents throw out my two favorite ponies and my favorite bushwoolie. They were inside of the she ra castle and my parents never opened them up to check if gusty and shady were inside. I looked for them for YEARS until I realized what happened. I really hope you find your pony. That feeling is the worst!

Well guys I have gone through the ENTIRE apartment - bathroom cupboards, kitchen cupboards, fridge, freezer, turned the couch ON END LITERALLY, I mean - everywhere. UUUUgggggggggghhhhhhh this feeling is miserable.
There is still no sign of her. The worst part is the not knowing what the .......???? happened to her!
Ohhhh sigh sigh sigh

oh no thats terrible. I really hope you get her back. This thread made me check where my crumpet was. I think it would be horrible to lose an expensive pony like that :(

What is it with disappearing SS ponies?! I've done the same thing with my mint SS Angel. It's been 4 months now and no sign of her :( I'm so sorry you're going through the same thing.

Sounds like what happened to me a few years ago... I lost my mint Ice Crystal, two pearly babies, and a plush baby Lofty. They were in a box in my room somewhere, and when I went to pull them out, the box had vanished. :cloud: Still to this day I think my mom tossed them out. *sigh* Oh well, at least they are replaceable.
Best of luck trying to find Crumpet!!! Odds are, if you end up replacing her, that's when she'll appear. ^-^ What better excuse to start a Crumpet army??? :cheer:

Did she maybe fall off the shelf and go under or behind any furnature? Or maybe do you have a cat or dog that gets into things?

my only advice is to put on your gloves and go through your trash cans!!
before she gets tossed out!
if shes anywhere else in the house you have plenty of time to find her
but if shes in the trash she will be gone for good soon
one other place i have found strange things is in the fridge/freezer lol

When I was a teenager we would always find the phones in the freezer, cell, cordless, even the corded phone once and some socks. Go figure on that.

I second (or third, fourth or fifth?) the laundry! I have found some pretty odd things in the wash. And also, do you have any pets? My kitties are famous for playing with my ponies. They wind up on the floor, so they could easily get kicked under some piece of furniture. Best of success! I hope Crumpet comes home soon. :hug:

Still no luck. I have checked behind furniture, the shelves and all are totally flush to the walls. I checked throughout trash, throughout laundry, throughout weird places like fridge, etc. But now that I think about it, the last time I saw it was a long time ago. :| Maybe 6 months ago or so even.
I can't get over it. I keep wondering where the heck she went. Alright, I'm going to drive everyone else nutz with it too if I don't get over it. I've even been wandering aimlessly around the house going, "Crumpet?? Crumpeeeeeeettttttt?" Which is really making my husband laugh AND think I'm losin it lol.

I think a lot of us have wandered around calling a pony that has gone walkabout. Perfectly normal. Want to borrow my Lily cat? She's VERY good at finding things she is not s'posed to have.

I didn't see this suggestion: Stop looking. Just stop. :) Concentrate on something else. Don't look. I've had so many things turn up that way. She'll pop up when you least expect. Don't worry! I'd take it as good news that you're so sure she hasn't left the apartment. Just stop stressing about it and know she'll turn up; you'll forget she's missing, and then just be excited when you do find her someplace random in a month or so.
I lost Daisyjo, one of my first and dearest G3s, for I think about 3 years. I was crushed because I toted her around a lot, and thought I might have left her in a hotel room or something. She's easily replaceable, but I was sentimental about mine.
Waaay down the line, she turned up in an old handbag I'd stopped using. *shrug* Since you know Crumpet isn't actually gone in the permanent sense, try not to drive yourself crazy about it!

I hope you find your pony dear. I notice most of my missing things finally show up when I'm not looking for them. Maybe weeks later, and I'm just cleaning stuff up.

I'm seconding the pets idea too. I've had ponies "disappear" only to find one of my cats playing with it under the couch or bed a few days later. One of my cats like to snatch ponies off of high shelves...its why I've been keeping my collection in a separate locked room for years. Sticky pawed kitties!

Well that's it... I'm putting locks on my new pony display bookcases. My ponies aren't going ANYWHERE on adventures like so many other ponies seem to have gone on. Not without a signed permition from me anyway :P
I do hope she turns up. If absolutely noone has had an oppertunity to take her then she has to be in the flat o.O

i knwo this soudns. odd. but check the last place you would expect. when theings vanish aroudn here they susualy end up int eh fridge. or the feezer. dont ask me why..

Good luck! The worst part of missing things is you find yourself checking the exact same spots over and over and tightening it until you feel like you're going in circles. Sleep helps a lot.

Sometimes this happens to me, though not always with ponies. >.< I will put something down and come back... and it will be gone! I think my house has a poltergeist in it or maybe a vortex or something. Don't give up hope, though you WILL find her, it just depends on when. :) I'll be rooting for you! Sometims the harder you look you will not find it, but the moment you start to relax, she'll just appear.

I just did a full inventory of G3 ponies, the only one I've ever done ... and two Easter ponies have gone missing, along with two re-releases I thought I had. What the hay!!! They stay in their boxes, I almost never take them out ... and now two of the three are gone. And I know for a FACT that I sent a "double" away to a friend-who-turned-out-to-be-a-beggar-slash-thief, and now I'm absolutely sick that I might have sent her MY pony. :( Ughhhhh, so upset.

I lost a baby blue ribbon, ribbon. I was devestated, thought I threw it out, found it 5 years later in a bag of dirty ponies lol

My advice is actually to stop looking, sometimes I get so frantic looking for things that I don't actually see them even though they are there. Once I relax and stop frantically hunting for it, I always manage to kind of accidentally find it a day or two later like oh there you were! I literally just went through this was a pony over the weekend, I hunted the entire apartment for it and couldn't find it I knew it had to be somewhere so I just kind of stopped looking and wouldn't you know it she turned up this morning.

This reminds me of when I was 6 years old. My cousin (also 6 at the time) and I each got a baby pony for Christmas. I got Baby Moondancer and she got Baby Cuddles with the buggy. We were both ecstatic and opened them right away. We took them into our grandparents bedroom to play and within 24 hours Baby Cuddles went missing. To this day we have no idea were she went or if she was ever found. We are now both 31 lol.

Did you check on places where you saw her the last time? Maybe check in places where you wouldn't expect her to be. But don't worry too much, she might just pop up when you aren't searching for her.

Did you ever find her? I barely found my baby Noddins yesterday and i lost him around the same time.

aww - that is no fun! But trust me, I am a person who loses things on a regular basis (not only ponies, but wallets and cellphones and glasses and everything that is important in my life) and you know, it ALWAYS turns up again. That is the beauty with things that are lost (not stolen) - they have a tendency to find their way home again.

I had a couple of thoughts about where she could be.. Could she have ended up with a bunch of your husbands things? Like in his sock drawer maybe? Was he shifting around any of his stuff near the time she went missing? Also, if you had any seasonal decorations out at the time, check to see if you packed her away with them. My Mom once 'packed' the remote in with the Christmas balls that are kept in the attic.. :what: :hope:

Have you found her we all seem to want to know...sometimes I over look my ponies and then find them in the display hiding so sometimes I just overlook them and just know it is a good sign to warn me I have too many

I think its a uprising! My MIB G4 Lily Blossom and MIB G4 Cheerilee are just gone! I know I bought them! According to my friend they are revolting because they are all still in their pretty boxes! I know nobody stole them, and I am sure it was me who put them somewhere "Safe" but now even I can't find that safe spot. I have no idea why I would put them somewhere other then with my others.
Cheerilee was easy enough to replace, but Lily Blossom has become difficult to find.

I think its a uprising! My MIB G4 Lily Blossom and MIB G4 Cheerilee are just gone! I know I bought them! According to my friend they are revolting because they are all still in their pretty boxes! I know nobody stole them, and I am sure it was me who put them somewhere "Safe" but now even I can't find that safe spot. I have no idea why I would put them somewhere other then with my others.
Cheerilee was easy enough to replace, but Lily Blossom has become difficult to find.
I have two Lily Blossoms that have walked off! Must be a trend!

Just occurred to me today that the rest of my Big Brother collection is missing, including my mountain boys. They probably went on walkabout after the flood. Maybe if I find them, I'll find my missing sixth scale Kit Fisto and Aayla Secura...

Aww I hope Crumpet gets found! If last you saw her was 6 months ago, try to make a list of any possible places you may have displayed or stored any ponies, even if it was temporary and you remember seeing her afterwards. Memories play tricks that far back, sometimes I think I remember seeing something and then I realize I only remember thinking about seeing that something.
I dunno if it helps, but here's a list of places I've found lost items:
-behind the washer/dryer
-storage I thought I hadn't touched for years
-under the fridge/oven/similar things you think don't have any space
-inside old purses, backpacks, or suitcases (even lunch boxes)
-the garage or car
And don't forget to ask anyone who's spent a decent amount of time in your house in the last 6 months if they happen to have a random pony that mysteriously appeared to them!
