Sign ups until February 28
Partners assigned before or on: March 1
Progress pictures required: April 1 and May 1
Final check in: June 1
Shipping: June 15
1. You must have 10 5-star arena feedback and no 1/2-star arena feedback.
2. You must have been an arena member for at least 6 months before sign ups are over.
3. You must have pictures of at least 3 of your most recent customs to show the quality of your work. This is a skill based swap and I need to know how to pair you.
4. Ship on time! I realize real life issues come up sometimes. If this happens, I want to know about it as soon as you realize you will be late.
5. No shipping early! Shipping addresses will be withheld to prevent this. The exception will be when your partner is ready to ship as well.
6. Be prepared with progress pics at progress date.
7. Send me pictures of your completed custom before you ship. I want to know your custom is complete before it goes out.
8. Let me know right away when you ship your fart and when you receive one.
9. Do not let anyone know who your partner is. It is a secret.
10. Extras are not required, but are welcome. However, do not go overboard with these. This is about the customs. A small treat/gift or 2 is fine and good but not too much. After all, you worked hard on the custom, it should be the most exciting part!
11. This swap includes all generations of flowers (G1, G2, G3, G3.5, and G4), if there are any of these you do not like, include that in your form. Do not use any fakies unless your partner requests it.
12. You must be in no more than 2 other swaps (total of 3).
13. The title of your PM should be Zeus, so I know you read the rules.
14. PM the sign up form to me (hannaliten) by the sign up deadline. I will do my very best to get partners out on or before the 1st.
15. You must check in for the final check in 1 week before shipping. If you do not check in, you will not be receiving a fart.
16. KEEP YOUR SHIPPING RECEIPTS! You need to be able to produce proof of shipping when asked. You need to hold onto your receipt until your partner confirms that they have received their fart. I also highly recommend delivery confirmation for those not shipping internationally.

Hmm. I probably have time, the thing is I would be in the newbie category. I have one WIP sculpted merpony that is going to need to be touched up when my Apoxie Sculpt gets here, stupid Sculpey cracked. This would also be my first swap and in theory I have enough feedback, but two parts of it are on the old Arena.

Question: Is this limited strictly to the Greek-Roman-Egyptian-Norse mythologies, or could people go to other traditions as well (Mayan, Babylonian, Native American, Aboriginal, Inuit, non-Egypt Africa, etc)?

It's better in general if you have selling or trade feedback along with buying. The more trades/swaps/sales you do, the more feedback you can get. If you find you aren't getting feedback, give a friendly nudge to anyone you've traded with who hasn't left you feedback. If you want to build your feedback even more, try doing private swaps with people. That's how I built my starter feedback :)

Question: Is this limited strictly to the Greek-Roman-Egyptian-Norse mythologies, or could people go to other traditions as well (Mayan, Babylonian, Native American, Aboriginal, Inuit, non-Egypt Africa, etc)?
We would like to keep it limited to the ones we mentioned at this time. There may be another swap at a later time more focused on those though. Broadening the spectrum too much can lead to overwhelming partners for options. But there are plenty of things in Greek, Roman, and Norse to tie into those. :)
Bagheera - If you remember who you purchased the ponies from, ask them to leave you feedback regarding the transactions. Any transaction on the Arena can be used for feedback, whether it be a swap, trade, buying or selling.

Missed the deadline as well. This is a great swap idea though. I am totally going to stalk it. I am sure everyone will think up some great ideas. Maybe I will create a pony based upon the theme while I watch the progress. That way I can get the theme out of my system :)

For those of you who are finishing already, remember we still have plenty of time. Let them sit awhile and consider if are still satisfied in a few weeks. There is still plenty of time and we will not be shipping earlier than a week. I find myself adding and changing things down the road a lot.

Yeah, first check in's April Fools' and we're not due to send til the 15th of June. Don't feel bad at all. I've got a million and one things to do otherwise as well and I am super thankful for the long time. My poor pony looks like a cyborg with foil shoved up everywhere I re-posed it, only minor sculpt work done.
Everybody I know who wasn't married yet seems to be doing that this year and I'm busy trying to keep up with travel plans and life in general plus 5 sock monkeys for my GISHWHES team, bachlorette party favorsXD, loosing another 10 lbs to fit into the bridesmaid dress nicely, etc. Life comes at you;)

Well when your a stay at home mom now, (who was use to working full-time) you find things to keep you busy. So I have alot of spare time for projects. My husband works 6 days a week so there is no time for travel or any exciting kinda life style...lol

Painting's done but she's just been sitting on my desk for a while now. I'm finishing up a HUGE project for school (full psychological/social/biological/historical/everything assessment on a classmate) that's due Monday. Once that's done I'm going to have nothing but time to sit and rehair.

what are you using? A sanding block or a wider grain might help. :)

how well, does a cured mixture of milliput and greenstuff go, under uncured fimo in the oven? will things explode? and is Fimo stuff safe to put in the oven we cook out food in?

I have never put milliput in the oven but I would assume it would be fine as for green stuff I have no idea what that is and fimo is fine to put in ur cooking oven just be sure to to over cook it or the fimo will burn and wont look as nice if you are using colours and Not painting over it

Yeah I'll be painting over it, jus wanna cover up the splotching of green stuff and millput. Green stuff is essentially the same as milliput, except when cured (if you mix the even amont of blue and green) it is still mildly soft and flexible- but still tough but a thrill to carve and sands marvellously.
I mix greenstuff with Milliput to prevent it from being crumbly, but I have bits of both everywhere. Like hte mixture and just simply green stuff...which is confusing me to what needs sanding and what's been done so I figure I'll cover with fimo to even things out.

Okay baked teh pony... How can I tell if it's been baked properly? It's not shiny and I had it at 100c just in case. Should I whack it in tomorrow again for another 30 minutes just to be sure at 105c?
and I did it on top of a tile, the bottom of the ponies feet were not covered in fimo soft... should I put something between the pony and the tile?

Ok my camera cord that connects my camera to my computer is broken and the memory card is not showing up when I stick it directly into the computer. Can anyone offer me a little text support.
Also can I get your email I can probably use my phone to take a pic and email it to you.

Sarah, click "My Computer" your memory card is one of the USB's, it will be a letter maybe "J" Just start double clicking them until you find which one it is. It will open with folders. You'll find the pics that way. I just had to do that myself with my computer because it's messed up and I'm using my son's laptop. Hope you find it!

Thanks but I already tried that it just opens an empty file. I can view the pics on the camera but they will not read. When I try the camera viewer it also comes up blank as though there is no device even though I bought a new cord tonight. I am going to try reinstalling the software.

Are the pics going to your memory card? Sometimes on cameras they will go into internal memory and you have to change it on the camera? You will still see the pics on your camera though...try viewing the pics on your camera after you take the memory card out. If you can still see them, then they aren't saved on the memory card. (But the cord not working...may have to reinstall.)

I restarted and I am a lot happier. The base I picked was just too difficult to work with. There was no way to get it how I had envisioned. There is still plenty of time. I like my new design much better.

I never did fix my camera problem but I found a temporary solution. I think it's the camera port but I don't know. When I plug it in it says charging so I know the cord is connecting. But the photos will not register on my system.

Fixed my camera! So I am good to go for the check in. Turns out it was a battery charge problem. The camera was always trying to charge when it was plugged in because the battery wasn't holding the charge. It didn't ever have enough juice to actually do anything. A new battery later everything is fine. Thank you everyone for helping me.

no, it turns out that im going on holiday on the 22nd for a week and i was worried that because the ship date is the 15th i possibly may not be there to receive it, depending on how long it will take to arrive. i don't mind if my partner wants to wait and ship until im back or if it was possible to shop early. When she arrived, her box was pretty smashed in, so even if you had wrapped her differently I don't think she would have made it in one piece.. Almost looks like someone stepped on the box.
But anyway, it is still a massive thank you to you :) She will sit very nicely in amongst my tiny collection of ponies I have left :).
(p.s. when I fix her I will need to repaint little bits, could you let me know what brand and colour paints you used so I can try and match her up as best as possible?)

You should still be able to track it, Being in Australia you would use the same customs forms i do those green ones? they give you a copy i think with a number they scan it? If so, you can chase it from Australia Post by that scanning number, Ive never done it, but my postie assures me its traceable to post standard airmail without having the pay an arm an a leg, for registered airmail.

I.. I don't know D: I'll try and find the receipt, I'm sure it's in my wallet! there was a green declaration and stuff and it's a bigish box so it's hard to misplace!

yep thats it, the Article ID LCblah blah, take that into your post office an let them chase it for you. They have to be able too, else there would be no reason for them to have a number and scan it! Goodluck!

okay the lady on the PO FB page helped me out and this is what I got-

While this is not a traceable service, I can see that it arrived in the US on 01/07, and was sorted through their Texas sorting facility on 05/07, so it should have been delivered some time after that.

Wow, thats a bummer, Can you ask the postie to repost it without paying, they shouldnt make you pay, check that the addy is correct, mustnt be correct or they woudlnt of sent it back to you, soo wierd. Goodluck with it, just make sure the addy is double checked with the host of the swap first, make sure it doesnt happen again!

I was right. For some reason, they thought the return address... was the delivery address. Despite teh custom declartion saying AUSTRALIA POST on it. I managered to get the P.O today and it's been sent off with the address corrected and everything, I had asked the man if 'this was okay' and he waved me off and said 'yeah yeah fine'. So I went to a more popular not family run P.O and she pointed out why it was probably sent back, so she only charged me half the amount and apparently he had over charged me the first time by $5 the so and so. so yeah it's all good now MY PARTNER SHOULD RECEIVE IT, And I hope it's worth the weight orz
