Hey Pony People!!

Hello everyone, I'm excited to be here on this forum!

I am starting my G1 collection from scratch after the sad loss of my previous ponies four years ago. It's taken me this long to get over it, some of the ponies I had from when I was 5 years old! I'm starting with rainbow ponies, they're totally gorgeous and it'll hopefully help to focus me and stop me trying to buy every pony I see for sale

The rainbow ponies are a great focus for your collection.  I particularly love the second set

My beautiful collection was left in the attic of my house when my ex and I split up and I moved out. He's a decent enough guy, but he was a little bitter at the time, and wouldn't let me go back and look for them. He said he had looked but couldn't find them!! I asked a couple more times, but with all the other things that go along with the breakdown of a longterm relationship there was a lot to sort out in the year after the breakup.

So there is my ponytail of woe, I should have fought harder for my beloved collection but now I am excited to get back into this magical world :-D

Also have to say, very recently found MLP:FIM, now my favourite cartoon in the world EVER! I am turning 30 this year, but I am unashamed of my pony love!!

Thank you for the warm welcome by the way, I love all your avatars, signatures and adorable pony emoticons! I'm not particularly forum savvy, but i'd like to learn how you get all these things (extent of my emoticon knowledge, right there!)

I too know how you feel, my dad threw out my childhood ponies when he cleaned out the basement, I lost about 40 ponies plus the castle and the ice cream shop shaped like a shoe, some how though  the first pony I ever got (bubbles) was saved! I too started collecting the rainbow ponies and then started replacing the ones I had as a kid, but it went way beyond that and im working on getting them all lol. I was just thankful that I had never had a mimic or a munchy in my childhood bunch, that would have been a shame.

So sorry about your childhood ponies, that's terrible! I don't have any of my childhood ponies left, either. But it was fun acquiring them again once I found the internet.

I'm sorry other people have lost cherished ponies too, it is sad when they represent something meaningful too!

On a much happier note, my four new girls arrived yesterday!! Woo hoo!

Yup, I now have the castle, and added the estate the lullaby nursery and the stable, as will someday have them all haha, its an addicting hobby. Love those ponies.
