What is going on with the Fashion Style prices?!

I'm so confused.  Is there a reason that all these FS ponies are soaring in prices on ebay???  I don't understand...

Probably a lot of new collectors/bronies who missed out on them while in stores and now are afraid that they won't be released again.

Most of them are no longer available, so their prices sky rocketed with new collectors looking for them.

Some of them were tough to come by to begin with (Applejack, Dash)

How tough they were to find depends on location... we had a bunch of FS RDs here but limited on some of the others

the hard one is AJ..actualy read impossible....next up is rarity..shes pretty well off the shelves unless your insanly lucky to find her..i know i picked up the last one in teh pacific nw for a friend...the rest..i can pretty much go anywhere and find them on the shelf..just gotta know where to look

theres a pretty good rumor that they will ALL get re-released but odds are the packaging will change

I actually saw FS and Rarity at the downtown target in Seattle who knows how long ago now and am kicking myself for not getting them-

They're being rerelased soo , though, so hang in there! The one that's hard to find for me is Twi. i saw her once, whereas I saw all the others on quite a few occassions. Should have stoxked up, haha. And my Zellers has abut a milion RD's right now.

The prices should come down soon. Rarity is being rereleased later this year (already up for preorder on BBTS) and according to the picture she has the same accessories as her first release. AJ will probably follow sometime in 2013

Really? Aj was  all over the targets and walmarts here when fim came out. Makes me wish I'd picked up extras at the time.

Last time I checked my Target, there was a FS Twilight Sparkle and FS Rainbow Dash.

Yup as others have said, I think its worry that they wont be available again - people panic and bid pushing the price high. We saw it in G3 as well with some sets remember - high bidding and then as time passed or ponies were re released the price dropped. Because they were released in waves and because the fandom seemed to soar after the first wave [AJ and Rarity] was passed or passing, a lot of people missed out on one or both of these FS.

Hasbro confirmed a re-release and we have already had at least Rarity confirmed for 100% - these moulds are big and expensive for them only to get the one single run and we know currently Hasbro loves lots of the main 6 all the time. I am sure the others are soon to follow in 2013.

Oh wow! Really? She is all over the Targets here. Her and Fluttershy. I haven't noticed a Dashie lately, but I haven't been searching as much, either.

Several Dashie's at Walgreens.  Found Pinkie at Target one day, DD wanted a video game instead.  Kids!  E-Bay has a pre-order auction that says they ship sometime in October.

I know I passed up on Apple and Rarity when they were out.  I thought I would just get  Fluttershy, because they were big and expensive.  When I took her out, her quality was so good, I loved playing with her accessories, and she wasn't as big as I thought.  Now they are my favourite of the G4 sizes, and I wish I had gotten Apple and Rarity when I had the chance.

I would guess that the average ebay buyer doesn't know that they are supposed to be re-released.

i know  down here i saw TONS of clestia and luna.  a  few  RD i saw one  Fluttersjy i have  yet to see a  pinkie pie.
