Princess Luna Sketch
« on: September 30, 2012, 01:27:29 PM »
This is the first sketch I have done in a couple of years. I love Princess Luna, she is my favourite character and I couldn't resist drawing her. Really enjoyed doing it think I might do some of the other characters. Still need to colour her in. But I'm not very good at painting shading ect any suggestions of what might be easiest and look the best?

She looks great! It's such a clean sketch, I'm impressed!
Personally I prefer colored pencils. I just like how it looks when the picture is finished, and it's clean and easy. However, if you prefer to mix your own colors, it's pretty hard to do this with them.
Honestly, with sketches like this, I tend to leave them just like this, as line drawings. But yeah, if I desire color, then colored pencils is the way I go.
I'll put something here some time

She looks awesome!  Once you're done with the line art, I would suggest scanning it or taking a picture, in case you want to do it digitally.  But my favorite coloring media is and has always been colored pencils.  :)

Thanks everyone and thanks for the advice  :) I may sound really silly now but how do you colour things in digitally? do you need a computer programme?

I love Luna too!  *glances at her avatar*

This one is really nice.  I wish I had coloring suggestions, but I'm a talent-less fan.

I have done all my digital coloring in photoshop, but other people use GIMP and some others that escape my memory right now.  :silly:
