I'll be cosplaying for the first time soon, but I'm a little nervous because I'm big. I'll be going as Karkat Vantas from Homestuck! Show me your cosplays, pony or non pony!

I mostly have photos of others cosplaying, but here are a few quick and not really serious cosplays I did in high school. :3 I've never cosplayed seriously before, but a few of my highschool friends have done really epic serious cosplays.

My then-girlfriend as L and me as Misa from Death Note. My outfit was actually pretty good, but I don't have any photos of it not covered by that jacket, lol.

And me as a random Akatsuki member from Naruto. At this point I actually hated Naruto, but that cloak is soooo warm and soooo thin! Its amazing.

This kind of brings back really bad memories for me.  I only have 2 pictures of me dressed up like this because I ended up being hospitalized.  In this picture I feel perfectly fine.  Im in a hospital an hour later with something that im still suffering with right now (it will be a year in 2 weeks and this year will be the first time I dont go to this expo)

Hatsune Miku.  The plan was to put those square headbands in when we got there because I needed help from the boys.  Im kind of upset---theres alot of detail in that outfit (the headset lights up too!) with nothing to show for it.

Maybe when I eventually get better ill wear it again^^

Omg, cosplay is great fun! I'm not familiar with your character (or Homestruck at all, lol) but good luck! And don't be self-conscious about your size, I've seen tons of big cosplayers who looked awesome!

I'm not a very good cosplayer and I can't even sew (my mom sews my costumes and I do the props, accessories, and painting) but here are a few of my more recent ones...

Calico_star, I love your Kamui cosplay! Tsubasa is my favourite manga, hands down.

My ex and i cosplayed as Fai and Kurogane from Tsubasa at one point, but I don't have any pictures unfortunately. I'm planning on being Chi from Chobits for Sakura-con in April! \o/

I´m with Twisted here except X/1999 is my favourite manga followed by Tsubasa, with Kamui as my second favourite character (behind Subaru) That is an awesome costume!

That aside I just love love LOVE all your cosplays! They are amazing! and Scraleos, just go for it, compared to anime and game characters, 90% of us are too big anyway

I go to the London MCM Expo twice every year and cosplay every time. Last May I did Eevee/Hazama/Dave, and this October I'm gonna be doing Silver (Pokémon)/Hazama/Dave or Hazama again. Was hoping to do Nepeta from Homestuck but won't have the money/time to get everything together D:

I only sort of cosplayed once in my life when I dressed up as a pirate for the pirates of the Caribbean premiere.
Then I was just a random pirate with a made up name, but I can tell you one thing that happened;
All of my insecurities and shyness that I carried as myself completely disappeared.

I WAS that pirate, and I did not worry at all if I looked silly, because what pirate would?

What I mean to say is, don't be nervous, once you get into your outfit, just let the character take over and have fun. That's what it is all about after all, isn't it?
