I'm going to assume they took a second look at your listing and got very embarressed and decided not to discuss it further. 
I recently bought a pony and got really upset over her condition when she arrived (nice but a few scratches) and stormed to the listing only to find her flaws clearly listed. Thankfully i had looked before messaging.
