How to tell the difference between year 2 and year 3
« on: February 06, 2013, 01:23:13 PM »
I'm trying to complete a set of unicorns and Pegasi when i realized I don't know what years my firefly glory and moondancer are. Are there any differences? I believe year 2 firefly's hair is longer and I think my moondancer is a year two but i'm not sure. I am wondering simply for the sake of having correct brushes.

Firefly, Medley, Applejack and Bow-Tie are all easy to tell as their hair is curly -hence it's longer. Moondancer and Glory on the other hand were virtually the same as the previous release - except for the brushes - Year 2 Unicorns came with Shooting Star Brushes -and Year 3 came with the Moon Comb.

There was a recent really interesting thread on Glory and speculating...I am not 100% on whether the blue colour difference is correct as the MOC ones I have seen looked the same colour when compared year 2 to year 3 - but hopefully someone will eventually be able to take comparison images to confirm the colour difference. A direct difference between the years does make sense.
