Kiwi G1 collector saying hi!

Hi everyone!  I am based in New Zealand, and am an avid collector of all things G1.  I don't know too many collectors over here so if you are in NZ, or better yet, in Auckland, say hi and maybe we could have a pony meet or something...

I have a pretty impressive G1 collection, it has reached over 400 ponies now, (that isn't including the double ups and the other gens boxed in the closet, this is just what is on display) and I am super lucky to have an understanding partner, as well as a huge house to display them all!

I don't have a pony room like some collectors do, mine are pretty much throughout the house.  I also have a lot of playsets, including a Paradise Estate that I am so proud of!  When I bought it, all that was there were the four rooms, the patio floor and the pool.  No canopy or pillars, no accessories, just the bare shell.  I have it down to needing about fifteen accessories, (including extra window canopies, I always felt that every window needed a canopy!!!) then I can say it is complete.  Most of my  sets are either complete or fairly close to it.

I have just bought my first German pony, and as an added bonus, she is my first still in her original packaging so I can't wait to meet her, and I am looking at branching out into merchandise too. 

You know, this is all my grandparent's fault...  They bought me my first pony when I was about five, and yes, I still have her!  Or rather, she keeps Nana company at the rest home.  :-)

So, that's me...  Well, a bit about me anyway!  :-)

and  It's never too late to Post an Introduction.  We have a Lot of Members here who are Kiwi's and I even think they have a meet from time to time.

You will enjoy the German pony in Your collection.  Sweet Clover is such a lovely pony.

Yes, we do indeed have a lot of NZ members here. We had a meet in Wellington a few years back which was lots of fun.  Did you buy your PE off the shelves in NZ?  I've never seen it here before

I was lucky enough to find it on Trademe, of all places!  No idea where the woman I bought it off found it, but it was in a sorry state.  That is interesting that you haven't seen it before, makes me wonder how many P.E's are here in NZ...

That was a lucky find!  It's such a huge playset that you wouldn't want to pay for shipping from overseas!

I know, I have been working on finishing it for the last three years.  Down to about fifteen items then it's finally done.  It is displayed on a coffee table in the lounge, and I have both my HSH's, Megan's Place, Kitchen, three pretty parlours, Grooming Parlour and School underneath! I am so glad I have a huge house lol!

wow, you sound like you have a really awesome collection!!! I do that too, display my toys throughout the house, Confining them to one room would be too hard, I want to look at them everywhere I go!!! Welcome and enjoy...I love G1 merchandise, so watch out if you start collecting that...cause its just pure awesomeness!!
