I'm relatively new to the fandom, reeled in and hooked by G4. I'm trying to learn about previous generations though, having recently watched the first MLP movie and Rescue at Midnight Castle.

I'm a sculptor and started making my own ponies to save the embarrassment of buying them in-store (since I'm a grown man and all). I've since gotten over my fears and purchased a few brushables. Right now I'm working on a Firefly custom, even if she's looking a bit saucier than I intended. http://i.imgur.com/oDG5b.jpg . I look forward to learning more about the art of custom ponies.

Welcome to the Arena!  Don't worry about buying ponies off the shelves - just bowl right up and take the one you want and pretend its for your kids, lol.  Nobody will ever know the difference :D
