Greetings, pony friends!

I hope I'm doing this right. Here we go: My name is Tasha, I'm 16, I live in London, and I like ponies. I plan to have a far larger collection when I am older and in the money, but as it is at the moment, I don't have very much money to spare myself, and none of my family take my pony passion very seriously, so my tiny tiny collection largely consists of the ponies I've managed to pick up second hand in charity shops and jumble sales, and the fakies I've picked up in charity shops. My interest in ponies began in two places: my love of cartoons, and my collecting of happy meal toys. A friend recommended I watch the MLP cartoon "A Very Minty Christmas", which lead me to watch several other MLP cartoons off all generations, which lead me to search through my vast collection of happy meal toys to find the pony related ones and set them aside on their own little shelf, where they looked kind of small and lost, which lead me to find out more about them (their names, the year they came out, etc.), which lead me to discover the magical world of ponies, and the rest, as they say, is history. Then, of course, I was eventually swept up my the Friendship is Magic tidal wave. My inner cartoon nerd thought the show was awesome and the ponies were adorable, which lead me to become a regular visiter to Toys R Us, whenever I had money.
However, G3 ponies will always hold a very special place in my heart, and, if nothing else, I feel that the G3 figures are the best quality. As G3 are my favourite and G4 are the most readily available, they are the ones I have the most of, and my first ponies were G2 happy meal toys, and I have a good few of them. I only have one G1 pony, however, and I got her very recently for 10p in a charity shop. She is Little Lullabye, and, although she was rather grubby and her mane was rather matted when I first got her, I could she that she was completely adorable, and she has motivated me to obtain more G1 ponies whenever and wherever available.

I hope that wasn't to long and rambling! In short, whilst I am here, I would like to find pony friends and get advice from those who have a lot more experience in ponies than I do. So hello, everyone!

Pony collecting can be hard on the wallet!  It sounds like you're approaching things very wisely so at least you can enjoy the ones you buy without worrying about running up debt in the process.  Trust me, being an adult collector is awesome!  Once you get a job you won't know yourself, lol (and of course your house will be over-run with ponies!)
