Cut and Styled DJ PON-3!

Alright, so yesterday I received a little box from China, which contained the Vinyl Scratch/DJ PON-3 I had won off of Ebay! And being the person I am, I planned ahead of time to try and make sure I could style her to the best of my ability...

Here she was baking drying under my lamp lastnight. (The lamp isn't in the shot, but I can assure you it's there!)

She looks great! Did you have any trouble making her hair stay in place? Last time I cut pony hair that short, I was going for Pinkamena Diane Pie (with straight hair). It looked fine to start with but it wouldn't stay put.

I generally don't have trouble getting the hair to stay put so long as I wet it with warm water and use the elastics.

However, after a few days the hair always seems to "bounce" back. Vinyl's hair has raised up and gotten a bit out of place because of such, but wetting it with water and letting her dry will most likely fix it.

I'd probably suggest for Pinkamena to keep her drying in elastics for about a whole day- that'll generally assure you won't have any issues when you trim her. Of course that's going off of my own assumptions, as I haven't tried doing a Pinkamena styled Pinkie yet... I plan on it soon though!

That's the problem I had. I cut her mane while it was wet so the length is fine when it stays down but when it raises up it curls around and looks too short. I think the problem is that it's just too short. The hair doesn't have enough weight to hold its shape.

The fact that there's not enough hair to weight it down may be the issue, although it seems to have happened to all of the ponies I've cut regardless of length. Even some that haven't had cutting involved have their hair just bounce back a bit.

I'm really not sure of a long term fix that doesn't involve messy stuff like glue, if that would even work- I certainly don't wanna try it though.
