So what is an Alternate Rehair Swap?
It's the swapping of G1 ponies that have been given new colored hair, that you rehaired yourself.

To Join:
you must have been an arena member for 6 months,
have a minimum of 300 posts and 10 positive arena feedback,
and show 3 examples of previous rehair work.
that's it! 

The Rules:
This is a G1 only swap!
This is NOT a full custom swap; don't do a full body repaint, or make a new pony or anything. However, you are allowed to re-do eye and symbol colors for the sake of matching the new hair.
No restores to original hair color(s), get creative!
Hair must be doll quality material; do not use wigs or hair accessories as a source
May be rehaired with yarn as a 'perfume puff' style
Ponies may be flawed, but nothing substantial. An acceptable flaw list will be provided.
Rehair must be done neat, and hair glued in.
Must be willing to ship internationally

must be able to meet deadlines and finish on time.
Progress check ins are required see dates- pm me when your hair and baits have been purchased and post in thread updates.

What will the boxes include?
You will rehair either 3 adult ponies, or 2 adult and 2 babies (TOTAL no more than 4 finished rehairs in the box)
-Required Extras: 1 rehair bait condition pony + 1 hank of unused hair (from DH, MLC, RDUS/RDUK, etc etc etc) or 2 hanks of unused hair.
-Optional Extras: If you want to include additional extra items for your partner, no more than $5 in value

unacceptable MAJOR flaw list- flaws you can't stand - remember, your pony may not be mint! PLEASE don’t be overly picky, we are doing more ponies than last time so it may not be likely to find a rehaired pony with no cancer/regrind/marks – but MAJOR flaws like missing limbs, giant marker spots, hugely discolored – those are things that most likely can be avoided.

General Group Questions:
How do people feel about deflocked so softs as a bait?
Where do you prefer to have the rh marked? I know some prefer bottom of foot and others like the neck seam, or being that these are not going to be rehaired to factory color do we mark?
What kind of extras do you like?
Do you have a preference of stripes vs solid colors or full out blends?
How do you feel about tinsel/fizz/thermal/UV/Glow in the Dark hair?
Since many people seem to not be fond of bbe babies, how would you feel about a de-bbe baby as an alternate rehair?
If you had to pick your favorite out of the three, Earth, Pegasus, Unicorn, what would it be?
If you had to pick between Adult and Baby, what would you pick?
One of my hopeful extra bodies came, but sadly she has three large areas of cancer.  Dear partner, would you want me to still include her?

Hi all!

If you have participated in this swap before (even if it wasn't the most recent one), how do you think the rules should change/stay the same?
Do you have a link to the old rules? I'd love to read them.

Do you have a "price limit" for extras in mind? Total price for swap?
I guess it depends.... Do you choose what ponies you want rehaired or do you just get a rehaired pony? Depending on that and the price of the pony could impact the cost of the extras.

Do you want this to be a PRIMARILY G1 alternate rehair swap or should we allow each participant to specify which generations they prefer the best?
G1s tend to run more that the other gals and with how common g4s are right now you could always break it into a g1 and others swap. People could sign up for both if they wanted but have g4s and g1s... I dunno it makes sense in my head but I don't know how to type it out...

How do you feel about adding in some "other items" that are "requirements" such as 1 bait pony and 1 hank of hair on top of the rehairs and potential other extras?
I love this idea. It enforces the "this is a REHAIR swap" I think it should be included!

I'm thinking at least a dozen participants would be a good number, and since it's my first time probably no more than 15-18-ish people? How does that number sound?
I think it sounds great! Its not an overwhelming number of people but still enough for a drool worthy brag post!

Anything else you'd like to add for this next round?
Once again I'd like to see the last one's rules and such. For example if I enter do I put ponies I would like to get rehaired, or does my partner just send me any pony they rehair? What's to keep people from just sending a pony they rehaired and planned to sell anyways, or requesting something crazy like "I only want Mimic and Rapunzel rehairs."? I can see problems/questions with both so I wanted to clear it up!

I would be interested. I would think leaving it open to an all generation would get more people interested. I would not be interested in a G1, but wouldn't mind rehairing one for my partner.

What about doing two ponies. One from your partner's list and one random one? For the second pony include a list on the questionnaire which generation you like or dislike and any specific poses you like or dislike and maybe hair colors you like or dislike.
