Hello, MLP Arena Community

[Pony Adventures]

Oh gosh, I hope I am doing this right. This is only the second forum I have ever been a member of (the first was a Tomb Raider forum).

I am a 25 year old pony lover from the Pacific Northwest. More precisely, I am from Northern California, USA. I am unemployed at the moment (for which I am hugely ashamed) but plan to finish my last year of school and finally get my math degree once I find a job and save enough money. So, maybe I'll have my degree in 25 more years, right? But enough with the negativity and onto what makes me happy: PONIES!

I was an avid fan as a little girl and had my own little collection but I fell out of cute pink ponies and into more realistic Breyers as time went on. Now my Breyers are in storage and my G1 MLPs are long gone. So how did I return to the world of MLP?

To be perfectly honest, G4 and the whole "Brony" thing got me back into ponies. I actually prefer the toys to the show, though. I run a blog where I take my ponies out into the world and photograph them on their "adventures" Heehee. (I would link to it but it is a tumblr blog and, while my blog is itself SFW, I am not too sure if we can link to that site in general since it is so easy to come across so much undesirable stuff.)  Now I have a large G4 collection with a sprinkling of G3 merchandise. I am on the lookout for some ponies of the previous gens too.

So for G4, I have all but two of the waves of blindbags (3-purple and 4-blue), if you count my preorders on BigBadToyStore, half of the mane six fashion style ponies, almost "all" of the brushable ponies, some plushes, the second set of McDonalds toys, the SDCC 2012 Special Pony, some books, train sets, posters, two keychains, um maybe some other things that I can't think of.

My G3 includes an activity book and a Minty in socks.

Wow. That was really long-winded. I'm sorry about that. I hope that I can be a valuable, contributing member to your fabulous site and community!

Your pony adventure blog sounds really interesting.  Feel free to start a thread for you pics and stories in the Pony Corral as I'm sure others would love to see them.

Best of luck finding a job, it's not easy at the moment.  You will need some cash to fund all of the ponies you'll find you want to buy, LOL.

I wanted to thank you all for the warm welcome. I have been debating on whether or not to create an account here for several months now. I am glad I did! I am still reading all the tutorials so I do not know how to reply to individual replies. I don't actually know what this reply is replying to...I think the original post but we will see.

You guys are right that pony addictions tend to be pricey! But please don't feel bad about me not having a job. I haven't been looking as hard as I should be and am bad for it. I am mostly struggling with my inner demons and ponies are helping me to cope.

Hi!  It is kind of cool how the new generation has brought old fans back into collecting. The same thing happened to me. I wasn't actiy collecting anymore and then suddenly I've found a renewed interest.

and welcome to the Arena.  Best of luck job hunting and you might be able to trade some of those Breyers for ponies, there are a few of use who collect both here. 

As to replying to folks post, see on the top of each person reply the word "quote" click that and it quotes what folks said so you can reply like that.  You can use the modify button to add more then one quote to a response because we do not like double or triple posting here at the Arena.  Though if you do them fast enough, the Arena shall combine them for you.
