a ton of herbs... peppermint, spearmint, normal basil, thai basil, purple basil, perilla, cilantro, and some stuff I'm not sure the name of... like this huge purple leafy thing that spreads like mad. :/

Your standard herbs, flowers like ms mars sunflowers, moon flowers, and columbine. Gonna try for strawberries and the ever elusive lavender for me. If only my older brother hadn't ripped my lavender out thinking it was dead (of course it wasn't  :() I miss it so much.

I kill everything plant related, but my wife is going to plant things this year. Since we live on the farm and my family has had vegetable gardens on and off we will probably do that. I'm sure my mother will help her to avoid my plant killing.

Ah yes, I have a ton of compost, so I have big plans for growing some veggies! Unfortunately, though, I am moving and Spring already started here about a month ago... so I'll be starting late! I actually planted some mint seeds early -- in early February -- and I'm afraid that, even though they were in my house -- I might have killed the seeds with the cold temps? Either that or the guy on Etsy that I bought them from gave me some bad seeds. :( This is the first time I have tried to grow mint from seeds -- can anyone else give some advise?

Also, on the topic of me having a bunch of compost, if anyone wants some for their garden or pots, let me know and I can send you some! You would just have to pay the cost of shipping. I compost all of my food scraps and anything biodegradable that would otherwise go in the trash, and the compost is really rich and well broken down. It's also mostly organic, but I can't claim to know the origin of EVERYTHING I put in there... like on very rare occasions I eat out and end up putting leftovers in the compost.

We just moved from a house with a yard to an apartment last fall, so sadly all we can grow is flowerpots in the stairwell.  I look at all of the gardening things on sale with a wishful eye.  I may do a couple of pots of flowers and/or herbs or maybe even a tomato plant just so I don't go crazy!

I found an onion sprouting in my bag of onions on the counter. So that's in a pot growing in the garage right now. Why throw it away?

My mom grows plants in a butterfly garden, but as for me... It just isn't for me. Lol. It's not to say that I don't like plants, I really do. I just don't like being outside in the warmer months with the hot sun, muggy air, and bugs.   >_< Growing plants just kind of requires all of that. I helped my parents water the garden last year for a week when they went on vacation and that was enough for me!

BUT I can say that we just purchased three spruces (One Baby Blue Eyes and two Norways) and will have them installed in a couple of days. I'm so excited, because I love pine trees and couldn't believe that we could actually find types that gorgeous to grow in the yard. So, that's what I'm growing... Although it's a little different from what may have been intended for this topic. I will post pictures after they're planted if anyone wants.  ^.^

Nothing for the spring but my parents (whom I live with) will definitely be growing tomatoes and green peppers this summer. Maybe some other veggies too. I adore home grown tomatoes. They are like candy.

um, probably some mould on that piece of pumpkin that's been in the fridge too long and like, weeds?  No, I prettymuch have the touch of death when it comes to plants!  My kind of garden is one that doesn't need any help from me to survive :)
Plus, it's autumn here.  Although effectively, we don't really have seasons... it's just kind of hot and green all year.

I'd love to grow tulips and daffodils at our new house but I doubt it's in the cards.

I just bought some Basil seeds to try to grow. It'll be a bit of an experiment. I'm not usually great at growing seeds, but if you give me a fully grown plant I can work wonders. :D
