Does you have pets or family members named after characters?

My cat's name is Raiden (after the Metal Gear Solid character).   He was almost named Cloud (Final Fantasy VII), Tidus (Final Fantasy X), or Dante (Devil May Cry).   

If my dear husband will give me the okay to get another kitty (or two or three), they will probably be named after video game characters.

All my pets (five cats and a dog) are named after Disney in one way or another.

My first dog (who I got when I was 8) started the trend.  He was a dalmatian named Pongo.

My cat is named Fats Domino from the blues player I believe? Then my dog is Duke Nukem from the video game and Butters my other cat from south park.

Oh dear!!!  Friday we came home with a little black kitten who has been dubbed "Malcolm Reynolds".  Had he been orange he likely would have been named Jayne.

I use to have a cat named tinker bell. She was the best kitty.

I also had a hamster named after jack skeleton.

Now the hubby and I have 3 dogs. All named after movie or TV show characters. Oscar is named after Oscar the grouch. Jasper and Sam's names both came from the Twilght movies. My mom named Sam and Jasper and the Hubby named Oscar.

We have a dog named Blayne (after Blaine from glee), and a dog named Carly (icarly).

We also have three male rats named Baymax, Hiro and Tadashi.

And all of our guinea pigs are named after characters too. There's Bruce Banner (Hulk), Tony Stark (iron man), and Clint Barton (hawkeye). Then there's Bernadette and Amy from the Big Bang Thoery.

ETA: And a beta fish named Starlord.

According to my mom, my parents was watching a TV show -- my mom can't remember which one it was -- that featured a girl named Stacy... and they ended up deciding to call me Stacy instead of Megan (I think my mom had another name choice for me but I can't remember what it was).

We had a couple pets named after celebrities -- I once had a bunny named Chaplin after Charlie Chaplin, and we have a barn cat named Groucho after Groucho Marx -- but other than that we've never really named our pets after any characters.

Dashesndots - we almost named Ember Ripley too, because she's evil and attacks from the darkness and reminded us of a xenomorph - all teeth in a black mouth coming at you from the shadows.

Oh I missed this earlier!  That's so funny, and I can totally picture a cat fulfilling that role quite nicely!

Uhmm, well my feline is named Frisky (the 2nd) from my bro's cat Frisky the first, who was named that from Frisky the cat off the cat food. Hahaha!

Had other family cats (at my dad's place now) named Atlas..and Yvette Mew Mew (named after the French actress..lol).

We just got a kitten, Flynn Rider and we also have a 3 year old bengal-tabby Belle.

My dog's name is Loki - I have 3 guinea pigs named Jack (Skellington), Zero, and Fink (Dr. Finkelstein)

I used to have a golden retriever named Harley (Quinn) and I named my dad's dog Willow after the BtVS character.

And my son is named after Spencer Reid from Criminal Minds, lol!

I tend name my pets after food, but my sister has a hairless cat named Midna (from Legend of Zelda) It fits very well, because she even looks like the character.

I did consider naming my dog Luna, but in the end I went with finnish word that has a double meaning; Muru, a bread crumb or darling. It also fits with my older dog who is called Pulla, a bun. Some people name their kids and pets after people and characters they look up to, but I guess I like food more than people.
